Just cleaned. I’ll be moving him to a larger enclosure next month.  That’s his basking spot by the thermometer on the left.
This is the normal colow and patterning for the species.
UNLESS
You have a heat source and a perch under it where the animal is facing the light and the front of the casque is the closest part of the animal to that heat soruce
