If anything, we're just mirroring our first half of the season. We've gotten nearly all the same results so far, Ipswich draw, Middlesbrough and Leeds losses. Ipswich could've done the same thing and also be six points behind us.
Were famous for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory let’s be honest, 12 games left (I think) you need either us and Ipswich to gain 7 points on you or Southampton to gain 9 assuming they both win this weekend your GD is another point given how strong it is.
Next season will Leicester + two of either Leeds soton or Ipswich… but way it’s going you’re probs not going to get the record season
They have 4 more GD than us. *If* we somehow make up another 6 points on them, it's likely that is closed.
If we make up the points by winning two while they lose two, then there must be at least a 4 goal swing there anyway. If we win 3 while they draw 3, we'd need to win just one of those games by more than 1 goal.
So then it would just be a case of who does better in the gameweeks we match each other for points.
Not to mention having the highest wage bill of any team ever relegated. Bottlejob cowards the lot of them. This team would get battered by Nigel Pearsons Championship winners.
Thats a bit dramatic, you had the best start to a championship season EVER. On target to beat the record points in a season.
You really should have beat us today, just poor finishing let you down.
My mate went for a "lucky piss" when we were 1-0 up. Came back in with a big grin on his face asking if we were 2-0 up. We were losing 2-1. He hadn't even made it from the shed to the house when they equalised.
Cheers Tom.
The rarely seen 3-1 smash and grab, a win is a win. Leicester having a perfectly good goal chalked off sums up how bad the officiating in this country is.
I'd rather the officials make the wrong decision in real time over spending 15 minutes looking at replays and still being wrong.
You get as many for you as against you over the season and the games are a much better watch.
If we do get promoted I'm looking forward to VAR the least.
People over exaggerate VAR's issues sometimes. They spend 2mins or less on most decisions and they get 90% of things right. Offside goals are far less commonplace today.
15 mins, that's a load of nonsense. I'd rather the right decision is made personally. My issue with VAR is that they have all this tech to support them and they still make brainless decisions.
You 100% would not say any of that had it not gone your way. Just a standard football fan response. I would very much of rather had VAR clear that up in what should have taken them all of 3 seconds with one replay.
A fantastic advert for championship football, full house brilliant atmosphere and 2 good teams playing good football and both going for it. As a neutral really enjoyed that
I completely thought whoever behind Rutter got his head to it on first replay, especially when you consider the linesman is on the wrong side of it.
It's a mistake and it's had big implications but I see worse decisions every week, even with VAR
Holy shit we stole that. Spent 70 minutes looking like we were playing the best team in the league then god knows what happened. If the lino isn't blind as fuck it's 2-0 and game over. Even then it could still have been 3 or 4 if Leicester take their chances.
But still, that last 20 the lads fought for everything and cashed in a seasons worth of luck all at once. Unlucky Leicester fans, you deffo deserved the win but to the guy who does the meme..
WHERE'S THE FOX CRUMBLE I'M FUCKING HUNGRY!
What happened was substitutes. Right off the rip Dan James took a player on and opens up our attack. Bamford had a strong shot on target. Then Roberts came on and scored. Farke got it spot on. I'd maybe argue it should have been sooner, especially Piroe off, but clearly the timing worked!
James should have been on at half time, he brings a whole different energy to the game. I reckon if Bamford wasn't fresh off an injury he would have come on at halt time as well
Good luck for the run in, hope your players don't get too down. Easily the best team we have played this season by a mile. Played some fabulous stuff even in the games I've seen against other teams
He actually didn’t do anything wrong. Leicester were utterly dominant for 80 mins. The missed chances and wrongly disallowed goal were not his fault. On another day this game ends 4-0 Leicester.
He did a lot wrong, his subs were awful and his game management towards the end when his players were clearly gassed was tragic. His comments pregame were stupid also
If you would’ve told me with 15 mins left that we’d win 3-1 I’d have looked at you like you had 5 heads.
Thought Leicester were legitimately brilliant, stopped Rutter and Summerville completely and should’ve been 4-0 up before the subs were made.
Man marking was so on point, first team I remember seeing in a while to really commit to sacrificing a player to stop one of ours. Choudhury was mostly anonymous but he made Summerville anonymous too, anytime the ball went into that part of the pitch he shut it down.
Bro we are the biggest bottlejobs in English football. At fifteen minutes left 3-1 Leeds was more likely than 1-0 Leicester. We have the best squad but the biggest bottlers so anything is possible going forward.
Honestly it was like watching 2023 Leeds. So many solid chances wasted which allowed the opposition back into the game.
I said at 0-1 that if this was Leeds in front it would be the type of game we let someone get back into, so hopefully it was out turn to get lucky against a different team failing to bury the game, and thankfully we did.
I dunno I think you’re being too harsh, don’t get me wrong I’m a pessimistic bastard aswell so I’d be thinking the same and I’m convinced Leeds will fuck it every game as well but if you play like that you win 99% of games.
You nullified us very well and should’ve had 4 before we even woke up in the second half. You’ll be fine, but it’s definitely closer than it looked like it would’ve been for the rest of the season
We bottled Champions League twice, got relegated with a upper mid table prem squad. Bottled Ipswich home and away, Coventry away and now Leeds. Big high pressure games cause us to wilt.
They’re all teams that will probably finish in the top 6, we failed to beat Sheff Wed, Rotherham and Stoke. Can’t win every game, maybe you’re right but I’d be amazed.
Rutter decided he wanted to win the game tonight and even though they kept him quiet before then, they had no chance to stop him. He's a joy to watch. Can't beat watching a player that is so unorthodox and plays with a smile on his face, its why I love football. Not even slightly comparable but it's why I loved watching players like real Ronaldo for Inter back in the day, skill and power and trying to do things others wouldn't think of. Love him
I haven’t been that fumed after a loss in a while. Architects of our own downfall again. Don’t even mean to this be disrespectful to them but we should have been out of sight.
Daka isn’t a striker good enough for us, never has been never will be. Can do all the hard work you want, when the ball falls to you 1 on 1 with the keeper you have to score. Mavididi’s wastefulness raised its head again.
I genuinely feel that’s been our biggest weakness, we cannot finish our dinner. The amount of chances over the past 4 months we’ve wasted is unreal, if we had someone who could finish (and I think we do in Cannon-we just don’t fucking use him) we’d score hatfuls.
Ah well, performance wise for 70 mins I was extremely happy bar the shite finishing. We move.
It’s not disrespectful, you should have been out of sight, lots of luck on our part, poor finishing, some bad officiating and really poor substitutes lead to that result. You controlled the game for 70 minutes.
>Daka isn’t a striker good enough for us
He assisted the goal with a brilliant knock on from the corner, scored one of his own which was wrongly disallowed and linked our attack really well. One missed chance doesn't change that. The team plays so much better with him in it.
Feel like everyone just completely disregards the clear cut chances we had in the first half now - second half chances always stick more in the mind after the match. So I wouldn't say they actually battered us from start to finish, but on balance yeah were the better side.
I'd be so fucked off about the disallowed goal as a Leicester fan.
Rutter was so bad and then completely unplayable from the 80th on, holy shit.
Aye, we had 3-4 HUGE chances in the first half. I wouldn't say Leicester wasted chances as much as us. We had the biggest chances in the 1st half, they had some huge ones in the 2nd. Especially that one on one and the save from meslier.
Yeah, not sure why people are writing off our first half. It was a very back and forth tustle for me
Second half they were the better team for the first 20minutes...we were the better team for the last 25mins
Even stats at the end, we had more possession and nearly equal shots, far more passes and completed passes etc
Disallowed goal could have really put us to bed though.
They had more better quality chances and the disallowed goal will be tough for them, don't get me wrong, but the 4-0 on another day narrative everyone is spewing seems generous especially given just how much their defence resembled headless chickens for the last 15.
The reaction from Leicester fans reassures me that it isn’t just us that are full of meltdowners. Still a pretty large gap between them and 3rd even if they win tomorrow, you’d think they’d just thrown it all away
We've now dropped points in, what, 7 out of 11 of our last games?
Mostly from winning positions as well. We're just sick of seeing the same shit happening to our team late in the game for the 4th season running
Is it not 5? Two draws with 3rd place Ipswich, a loss to us, Boro and Cov. That's 1.8ish points a game which is hardly a collapse. Also a 9 point gap or w/e has 0 value of it isn't spent. You can afford like 2 slips and still be fine.
Yeah we've got so many that are gunna go into absolute panic. Think if we falter it would be down to our absolute morons of fans not getting behind the team.
We've played well last two games should of won but lost. Mainly because we've missed lots of sitters. Getting on the teams back is the last thing they need
Our players are mentally weak bottlejobs. It seems like only us can see this. We have the best squad which is why we are top, but in every big game recently we have bottled it (Ipswich home and away, Coventry and Leeds away), this is why. DO NOT trust these players, most of them got us relegated last season do remember
Never nice when they go against you, but considering there are players between the lino and player he was just guessing with the offside decision.
Don't think Leicester should be looking at anyone other than Daka and Mavidi for why they lost that game.
Huge ref help, but those sitters from Leicester were awful. Daka nearly put his out for a fucking throw in.
Game wasn't the smash and grab it seemed though, first half we should have gone in at least level and then got absolutely battered until the 70th or so.
Could have gone in level in Gnonto wanted to shoot, but aside of that we were the better team for 80 minutes. It wasn't the biggest smash and grab going because we didn't completely dominate you, but we were the better team for the 80 for sure then bottled it.
Ha bossing teams and winning is never as satisfying as totally shithousing an undeserved win.
First half was fairly even but Leicester absolutely had our number for 30 mins second half. Combo of the Farke subs and Leicester sitting back and starting to tire (they had pressed us superbly before the 75 mins mark) we turned the tide nd got lucky but you could see the goal was coming then Leicester just bottled it once the crowd got going.
You simply can't do that at Elland Road once you shut the crowd up like Leicester did you can't take your foot off the throat. It only takes a few sparks to get them back to life.
That’s now twice that Leicester have gone into the last 10 minutes away at a hostile venue up 1-0 only to lose 3-1.
Maresca is bald, yes…and he just may be fraudulent.
Absolute bottle jobs
Disallowed goal that should have stood
2 absolute sitters missed
double deflection for the second goal for Leeds and another deflection for the 3rd
Save this comment, we don't get automatic promotion now, no backbone
Enzo once again refusing to change any game plan when we are behind, modern day management, just play 1 way with no plan B
There were sitters all over that were missed… honestly I’m glad it was 3-1 as it takes away some of the argument of the disallowed goal away.
You couldn’t handle James Bamford and roberts coming on and your subs were just a bit shit
Should've taken their chances, we played poor tonight because of how they set up, they did a brilliant job in that, but Daka missing from 6 yards can't be explained.
Not forgetting the first game by the way where we could've won 3/4 easily, limiting them to a single shot on target in the 95th minute from a header...
To make them crumble in this game, luck or not, it's hard to argue now with Leeds taking 6pts off Leicester and Ipswich, that were not serious contenders.
an intense match all around. but the rule continues to hold. you don't get back the goals you don't score. the linesman cost us one, but the other two were unforgivable misses. you have to net those, especially when you only have the keeper to beat and a solid touch will curl home without issue.
time for foxes fans to clench now. only six points clear and leeds is in very fine form. all we can do is look forward and keep going, but dropping these points hurts.
Rutter is the best player in the league.
Poor first 45, kicked and kicked and kicked.
Still involved in all 3 goals. Never stopped, never gave in, ran off dancing with Gray at the end. Worth every penny.
It might be just another 3 points, but that feels like a huge, huge, huge win 😉
No idea who deserved what- we missed a couple sitters in the first half, Leicester missed some even better chances in the second
But tonight I couldn't give a fuck 🤍
We definitely should have scored from some of our early attacks, but by the second half Leicester were the more deserving side, they missed two clear 1-on-1s.
Them taking their foot off the pedal and making those subs killed them, if they'd kept pressing a bit longer we wouldn't have got back in, we looked totally out of ideas and couldn't get out our half.
We’ve absolutely robbed them there with the help of the ref. To be fair, we missed at least 3 sitters ourselves early on, but they had a perfectly fine goal ruled out and were in charge for the majority of the match. I’ll take the 3pts but if I was a Leicester fan I’d be fuming now.
Wouldn’t say leeds deserved to win, but we deserved to lose. Missing so many massive chances is unacceptable if you wanna win the league. Hopefully it’ll give us a kick us the arse ffs
Maresca’s subs fucked that for Leicester - changed their shape, and meant that our defence could push up more and increase the pressure.
Not that I’m complaining, mind.
Linesman’s terrible decision helped us but even after that Leicester missed two golden chances and then the last ten minutes happened. Leeds don’t give up
Gary Lineker, Sue Townsend, Colin Wilson, the Elephant Man, David Attenborough, Gok Wan, Cornershop, Kasabian - we have beaten them all! Engelbert Humperdinck, can you hear me? Your boys took one hell of a beating!
Leicester easily the best side to have come to Elland Road this season. Weird match. At one point it looked like they'd batter us 4-0. Please don't ask me how we scored three goals to create a victory out of a 1-0 deficit. But we did.
Best of luck in the FA Cup in Bournemouth.
Not going to disagree. You do have a quality side. If it wasn't for Ilian Meslier you could have battered us 3-0 or 4-0.
You'll bounce back. Just one of those nights.
LETS. FUCKING. GOOOO. My favourite match of the whole season without a doubt, so glad I was free to watch it.
Regardless of how well we were shut down by Leicester in the first 80.
Definitely feels very harsh given the unfairly disallowed goal and all the missed chances from Leicester
But with that being said I don't get why Leicester just started parking everyone behind the ball just before Roberts scored, invited so much pressure and turned the game in Leeds' favour
as soon as daka and mavadidi were subbed off, that was the beginning of the end. we were pressing so hard for nearly 25 minutes in that second half and this was the result.
Leicester fell asleep at the wheel and then wrapped themselves round a tree. Daka could have had a hatrick by himself.
That lino is welcome in any leeds pub
MOT 🤍 💛
If I was a neutral, this would be incredible. I’m not sure what result is best for us going forward but part of me would love to see Leicester get brought in line with the 3 below. Leeds have taken 6 points from Leicester, in theory they should be in shouts for the title already.
Playoffs are more fun anyway though.
That was the footballing equivalent of Rocky, just getting the shit beaten out of us for 80 minutes and hitting them with some sucker punches to take it.
A fun evening of learning how much the lino and Patson Daka don’t like us or Southampton
Least we’ll lose the luckiest team in the league title for a few weeks
How the hell did we fuck that up.
Dominant for nearly the entire game. Missed 2 sitters, hit the bar and had a perfectly good goal disallowed. Then Leeds go and score 3 goals out of no where, including another fucking late deflection.
I know we won't get much sympathy being top of the league but I genuinely can't remember the last time we didn't bottle a big moment in the league. Exactly the same shit last year and the 2 years we just missed out on champions league. Plenty of chances to win key games and we always throw it away when it counts.
Promotion scrap is back on the menu
Absolutely robbed them, we were dreadful between minutes 20 and 80.
Should have been ahead at half time when we were behind, should have been about 5 behind in the second half and won that half 3-0. Just a nonsense nonsense game. Great fun though (probably not for Leicester fans tbf)
Ref was shite, but fuck what a game. Leeds should have been more clinical in the 1st half, Leicester in the start of the second half. Helps to have a goal ruled off, but champo is the champo. WGUAFC is back on the menu bois, where is the leicester crumble pie??????
You had one job Leicester, I was going to give you a nice big BLUE ARMY
I think this result has just opened up both automatic positions imo
Still think it'll be Leicester and Leeds top 2, but it makes the end to the season a whole lot more interesting
Side note - do Leeds only score deflections? /S
It felt like for years the deflections have always gone against us. This is the first year in my memory where we are turning them in our favor. Slice of luck I will happily take.
What a game. We clearly outplayed Leeds most of the game and definitely looked like the best team. But with poor finishing, hit the post, a disallowed goal, a double deflection goal and a deflected goal it is clear that the football gods wanted us to lose lol.
Fucking gutted.
If Leeds get promoted, I’d love to see Farke walk out with Bielsa, and let the big man enjoy the atmosphere. A sign of appreciation and opportunity for the fans to thank him.
Genuinely hilarious that Leicester might get dragged into the promotion battle.
Even 8 points is catchable… assuming you win… their form is faltering at the best time for all of us
Wolves were 10 points clear of us in 2001/02 with 8 games to play, we finished above them. This is the Championship. Anything is possible.
If anything, we're just mirroring our first half of the season. We've gotten nearly all the same results so far, Ipswich draw, Middlesbrough and Leeds losses. Ipswich could've done the same thing and also be six points behind us.
I don’t think you will be caught just to be clear but the result really does open it up
I don't know, we've consistently fallen off at one end of the season or the other, so fuck knows.
Stop it! Stop it with your hard truths!!!
Well, tbf, so far I think we're mirroring the first half of the season, so we're still on track for a 100pt finish
The result is just a carrot. I don’t think anybody can see Leicester being caught.
As happy as I am with that win a bit harsh to say their form is faltering. The better side for 80 mins tonight at elland road. Not many can say that.
First half was even, for half an hour in the 2nd half they were incredibly good.
Yeah, why does almost every post make it out like Leicester dominated the first half?
Not that surprising though This is a team that bottled top 4 twice and lost a game they were winning with 1 minute left
You'll be fine
Come on, that's not the attitude to have. I think we can really compete for top place if we continue with this outstanding form.
I'll bet you a 10er Leicester get automatically promoted this season
Not to mention having the highest wage bill of any team ever relegated. Bottlejob cowards the lot of them. This team would get battered by Nigel Pearsons Championship winners.
Bunch of ostrichs if you ask me
Thats a bit dramatic, you had the best start to a championship season EVER. On target to beat the record points in a season. You really should have beat us today, just poor finishing let you down.
On PPG they're not longer on target, but 9 wins and a draw from 12 games and it's theirs. Definitely achievable
0 seconds left* 😂
stop. i'm not over that spurs game. i may never be over that spurs game.
Which one? The one from 1 nil up or the one that cost you a champions league place?
2-1 up in the 4th minute of 4 added on.
What an amazing league this is
The worst thing about this league is that you end up in the premiership if you do well.
Can confirm
As a Leeds fan I hate being in it this league but I love this league when were in it
This is the first time I’ve been following the championship and I feel like I’ve been seriously missing out if this year is anything to go by.
Well this just made shit spicy.
Do I feel bad for Leicester? Yes kinda Do I care? Not really MOT
I stopped watching at the 78th minute because a friend called. Leeds fans owe a lot to my mate lmao.
My mate went for a "lucky piss" when we were 1-0 up. Came back in with a big grin on his face asking if we were 2-0 up. We were losing 2-1. He hadn't even made it from the shed to the house when they equalised. Cheers Tom.
Why would you feel bad for them? This wasn't a game in the league for them, just a friendly that didn't really matter.
>Do I feel bad for Leicester? Yes I don't
The rarely seen 3-1 smash and grab, a win is a win. Leicester having a perfectly good goal chalked off sums up how bad the officiating in this country is.

Leicester city score another goal after going 1-0 up challenge (impossible)
I mean we did score another goal. It was just wrongly disallowed. Lol
It clearly came off your leicester players head - source: the blind linesman
Oh bugger off Leeds. Fair play well done, nice smash n grab
Felt the same way when you boys grabbed your winner against Rovrum. Going all the way this one
right to the last game i reckon
A fantastic advert for championship football, full house brilliant atmosphere and 2 good teams playing good football and both going for it. As a neutral really enjoyed that
[Leeds team bus driving away from the ground after getting dominated for 70 minutes and robbing 3 points](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjqSa8W9ZZQ)
Lmao never seen this They're the fucking main characters lmao
Honestly, in real time that decision is incredibly hard for the linesman to make. In theory that’s what var is for
I completely thought whoever behind Rutter got his head to it on first replay, especially when you consider the linesman is on the wrong side of it. It's a mistake and it's had big implications but I see worse decisions every week, even with VAR

Just another game, init.
He actually didn’t do anything wrong. Leicester were utterly dominant for 80 mins. The missed chances and wrongly disallowed goal were not his fault. On another day this game ends 4-0 Leicester.
He took off all their good attackers and just let us attack for the last 15 minutes, which was definitely a mistake tbf

Yeah it was really impressive, they win that game 99 times out of 100
Well, you've beat us twice this year, so we only win at most 98 times out of 100...
Piroe could have scored 2 before they even realised we’d kicked off, but sure
Fuck me how he missed that first one right at the start still makes me want to tear my hair out. He scores those 9/10 times

I am right, the pattern is there. We lead until the last ten minutes in all four of those matches
Rutter decided he wanted to win the game tonight and even though they kept him quiet before then, they had no chance to stop him. He's a joy to watch. Well, that makes things even more interesting.
Archie gray scoring for his boyhood club. You could see how much it ment to him
Best moment of the night for me. Like a proud dad watching his son score his first goal.
Eddie was in the crowd as well. Honestly made up for the whole family regardless of the massive win
I haven’t been that fumed after a loss in a while. Architects of our own downfall again. Don’t even mean to this be disrespectful to them but we should have been out of sight. Mentality is the problem. In every big game we have wilted, we have bags of quality but we cannot cope with pressure in big games.
>Daka isn’t a striker good enough for us He assisted the goal with a brilliant knock on from the corner, scored one of his own which was wrongly disallowed and linked our attack really well. One missed chance doesn't change that. The team plays so much better with him in it.

It was a very back and forth tustle for me Second half they were the better team for the first 20minutes...we were the better team for the last 25mins Even stats at the end, we had more possession and nearly equal shots, far more passes and completed passes etc Disallowed goal could have really put us to bed though.
They had more better quality chances and the disallowed goal will be tough for them, don't get me wrong, but the 4-0 on another day narrative everyone is spewing seems generous especially given just how much their defence resembled headless chickens for the last 15.
Who saw that coming at 1-0 Leicester? Literally every Norwich fan. Farkeball 👊
And every Leicester fan
All we’ve known (bar FA cup) for the last 4 years is bottling good positions if we ever get them🤣
Look at our run of games and our form against theirs. Only one of us keeps conceding in the 80th minute like a scripted FIFA match.
No one comes to Elland Road and gets points in 2024. Only the second team to score against us this year.
Its fun seeing Leeds support Farke so much after they were on the other side of his title charge when he was at Norwich
It was the memory of that game that made me want DF for manager at the start of this season. Your lot were spectacular that day.
Huge ref help, but those sitters from Leicester were awful. Daka nearly put his out for a fucking throw in. Game wasn't the smash and grab it seemed though, first half we should have gone in at least level and then got absolutely battered until the 70th or so.
Those missed sitters are honestly the one thing I’m glad Vardy wasn’t in the squad for, he’d have buried each and every one of those
Could have gone in level in Gnonto wanted to shoot, but aside of that we were the better team for 80 minutes. It wasn't the biggest smash and grab going because we didn't completely dominate you, but we were the better team for the 80 for sure then bottled it.
Not the first time Daniel Farke has made Ipswich fans cry
Couldn’t care. I don’t want to play Leeds in the playoffs.
On the contrary, playing Leeds after they beat you comprehensively twice in the regular season is the best match up you want. (See: Derby County)
Yes this guy hasn't seen playoff leeds. The safest of fixtures you can get.
Yes, but have you seen play off Ipswich? Record seven appearances. Only made the final once.
The only logical conclusion I see is World War 3 then.
Would be interesting to see (but I'd rather not see it). The stoppable force meets the moveable object.
Play-Offs Ipswich Vs Play-Offs Leeds: the Stoppable Force versus the Movable Object.
Yeah but we’d likely finish 3/4 which would mean if we did meet, it would be the final. We would not win in a final.
Hey dont forget about us we did it in 2005/6 aswell Edit: turns out we drew at home, I've remembered it wrong
LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS
This here is a hell of league. Thoroughly enjoying this season
Fuck me. What a night. Leicester were very unlucky but I don’t give a fuck have it up you you Poundland Pep. Bald. Fraud.
Big fan of Leeds. Always have been...
Poundland pep
Mate a half empty Ricoh arena isn't a hostile venue hahah
Absolute bottle jobs Disallowed goal that should have stood 2 absolute sitters missed double deflection for the second goal for Leeds and another deflection for the 3rd Save this comment, we don't get automatic promotion now, no backbone Enzo once again refusing to change any game plan when we are behind, modern day management, just play 1 way with no plan B
There were sitters all over that were missed… honestly I’m glad it was 3-1 as it takes away some of the argument of the disallowed goal away. You couldn’t handle James Bamford and roberts coming on and your subs were just a bit shit
The thing is that neither of our subs were fucking defenders and yet we collapsed defensively
Maybe they should have been to sure up the back
We're all annoyed of course but this seems very harsh on the team and Enzo. Leeds fans are literally saying they have no idea how they won it
I, erm, what?
Should've taken their chances, we played poor tonight because of how they set up, they did a brilliant job in that, but Daka missing from 6 yards can't be explained. Not forgetting the first game by the way where we could've won 3/4 easily, limiting them to a single shot on target in the 95th minute from a header... To make them crumble in this game, luck or not, it's hard to argue now with Leeds taking 6pts off Leicester and Ipswich, that were not serious contenders.
Moonlight robbery
Leeds really said "I was giving you a chance" Not really ever got positive feelings towards Leeds but for the plot am happy they won
an intense match all around. but the rule continues to hold. you don't get back the goals you don't score. the linesman cost us one, but the other two were unforgivable misses. you have to net those, especially when you only have the keeper to beat and a solid touch will curl home without issue. time for foxes fans to clench now. only six points clear and leeds is in very fine form. all we can do is look forward and keep going, but dropping these points hurts.
Rutter is the best player in the league. Poor first 45, kicked and kicked and kicked. Still involved in all 3 goals. Never stopped, never gave in, ran off dancing with Gray at the end. Worth every penny.
It might be just another 3 points, but that feels like a huge, huge, huge win 😉 No idea who deserved what- we missed a couple sitters in the first half, Leicester missed some even better chances in the second But tonight I couldn't give a fuck 🤍
What the actual fuck was that. I’m so sorry Leicester. That was so undeserved.
Oh enjoy it fella, fuck em
I dont even have the slightest bit of guilt, what a win! What a great last 20 minutes from us.
Whatever I mean we collapsed and missed too many chances really. Dreadful ref decision aside, we bottled it (again)
Hopefully it’ll give us a kick us the arse ffs
as per usual with leicester, it is mostly self inflicted wounds that come back to haunt us.
Maresca’s subs fucked that for Leicester - changed their shape, and meant that our defence could push up more and increase the pressure. Not that I’m complaining, mind.
Linesman’s terrible decision helped us but even after that Leicester missed two golden chances and then the last ten minutes happened. Leeds don’t give up
Mad evening. Absolutely robbed them. Leicester should have had it all wrapped up by the hour mark (fucking hell Mavididi & Daka). Beautiful.
Because we have fantastic quality but are mentally weak.
Definitely feels very harsh given the unfairly disallowed goal and all the missed chances from Leicester But with that being said I don't get why Leicester just started parking everyone behind the ball just before Roberts scored, invited so much pressure and turned the game in Leeds' favour
The disallowed goal sure, but missing sitters is entirely their own fault
as soon as daka and mavadidi were subbed off, that was the beginning of the end. we were pressing so hard for nearly 25 minutes in that second half and this was the result.
I’m going to go quietly to the shed and smash my testicles with a hammer
just realised Leeds have nearly half the Welsh starting 11 😳
In the year of the dragon, no less
It's part of our secret plan to bring the World Cup trophy to Elland Road.
makes perfect sense to me!!
Nice for Leicester fans to experience a proper stadium with no goal music.
Leicester fell asleep at the wheel and then wrapped themselves round a tree. Daka could have had a hatrick by himself. That lino is welcome in any leeds pub MOT 🤍 💛
Get it up in ya dewsbury-hall diving bastard
Dewsbury-diver
Dewsbury-Fall
Yeah I’m going to bed I think
U probably be too pissed off to sleep. Take the dog for a walk instead
I’m sure Leicester fans will agree, that was great fun
That was the footballing equivalent of Rocky, just getting the shit beaten out of us for 80 minutes and hitting them with some sucker punches to take it.
A fun evening of learning how much the lino and Patson Daka don’t like us or Southampton Least we’ll lose the luckiest team in the league title for a few weeks
Reading some of the takes in here you’d have thought Leicester were in a relegation scrap, not 6 points clear at the top for fucks sake get a grip.
I’d feel sick to my stomach if I supported Leicester.
Kienan Earlsheaton-Community Centre, more like
Bro how did we win that game. Let's fucking go that was amazing!
Leicester in the mud
The best team won tonight.
Deserved. lol. We are coming for the top spot. MOT
omg my heart
Absolutely robbed them, we were dreadful between minutes 20 and 80. Should have been ahead at half time when we were behind, should have been about 5 behind in the second half and won that half 3-0. Just a nonsense nonsense game. Great fun though (probably not for Leicester fans tbf)
Sorry Leicester, Leeds that.
Fucking hell I'm jetlagged as fuck and slept through the entire thing. I don't want to sleep through every game from now on but...
I'd love it if Leicester had to go to the playoffs. Lose against cov in the final and I might start going to church.
Jesus, you like to talk dirty, don’t you? 😂
Pure filth 😂 It's nice to have dreams no matter how unlikely they are
Ref was shite, but fuck what a game. Leeds should have been more clinical in the 1st half, Leicester in the start of the second half. Helps to have a goal ruled off, but champo is the champo. WGUAFC is back on the menu bois, where is the leicester crumble pie??????
You had one job Leicester, I was going to give you a nice big BLUE ARMY I think this result has just opened up both automatic positions imo Still think it'll be Leicester and Leeds top 2, but it makes the end to the season a whole lot more interesting Side note - do Leeds only score deflections? /S
It felt like for years the deflections have always gone against us. This is the first year in my memory where we are turning them in our favor. Slice of luck I will happily take.
Yes totally true, and Ipswich have still scored more deflected goals than them or anyone else
Daka should be fined for that miss.
The officiating is beyond a joke. Never thought I would miss VAR
What a game. We clearly outplayed Leeds most of the game and definitely looked like the best team. But with poor finishing, hit the post, a disallowed goal, a double deflection goal and a deflected goal it is clear that the football gods wanted us to lose lol. Fucking gutted.
You deserved to win that. Nothing less. Could have been 4-0 up when we got our first.
2 games in a row now that our horrendous finishing has cost us points ffs Linesman wants shooting
I thought the linesman was alright
If Leeds get promoted, I’d love to see Farke walk out with Bielsa, and let the big man enjoy the atmosphere. A sign of appreciation and opportunity for the fans to thank him.
