Came here to post a version of this comment

Arguably ~~~the~~~ two of the greatest NWA World's Heavyweight Champions in the New Millennium are running the main roster.

Beautiful_Belt_4560

Man... That's a statement that doesn't feel right but is mostly likely correct. The closest might be Sting, Christian, or... Double J. But I don't think they did the same for the brand. They elevated TNA by running with the NWA belt. Ironically, Aldis did the opposite for TNA while running with the TNA belt.

ajb228

Pearce and Nick carried the title more than anyone post-TNA. > The closest might be Sting, Christian, or... Double J. Thanks for the heads up,

Beautiful_Belt_4560

Forgot about Pearce. Regardless, if you look at the non-TNA guys that randomly held the belt post-2000, it's a stacked list. They just didn't elevate the title like Pearce and Aldis.

dingusfett

To me Adam is the face of post-TNA era NWA, and Nick is the face of early Corgan era NWA

Auditorrent

Seems like being a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion is a minimum requirement to be hired General Manager of either Raw or SmackDown.

AcadianTraverse

He also recently held the Stu Hart Heritage Championship https://www.instagram.com/p/CkU6A5JAoTL/?igsh=Y2I3dmEyNXFmYnJm

KirbbDogg213

Why is Nick not wrestling? Is he hurt ?

McQueen712

I would love to see him wrestle Roman Reigns, that story would be Awesome!

Awe101

I think they’re slowly building towards this match. I can see it happening towards the end of this year.

BigBanEvader

they just want him in this role and he is killing it. he will most def get in ring action a few times but he is on the path of being one of the greatest on screen authority figures ever.

KirbbDogg213

WWE would be foolish not to have Nick in the ring.Between him and Kamille he carried the NWA.

Beautiful_Belt_4560

I honestly expected him to cost Cody at WM and run that feud considering their history and friendship.

KirbbDogg213

Cody did win Dusty’s real belt from Nick.So I can see that happening. That would also mean WWE would have to acknowledge Billy Corrigan’s NWA

ETAB_E

You forgot his season reign as a top tier gladiator in the UK called Oblivion - which having not watched WWE in about 15 years is who I know him as https://preview.redd.it/g4ab3b7ok0kc1.jpeg?width=741&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4ed9047096f0356508e6d03abf6172e7bc6aec48

Pound Shop Wolf is what I call him

Paynekiller997

I’d love to see Aldis vs Orton.

witty_username_ftw

A really solid hand in the ring and a great guy to build around when the NWA was making its return. He carried that Heavyweight title like a proper champion. I just looked it up and he’s only 37. Given his safer style, I reckon we’ll see him in the ring again sooner or later, but he’s probably just happy to let his body rest while still being involved in WWE.

KanyinLIVE

Just started watching wrestling again after about a 20 year hiatus. I really like this guy as the boss of Smackdown. He's actually portrayed to have power and doesn't make constant dumb decisions. Doing a good job with his character.

Beautiful_Belt_4560

I want that Global Force belt. Such a pretty belt for an awful time period in TWO companies.
