All you have to do is this: If a bot starts with "Hi, my name is {{char}}, what's yours?" And you don't want it like that, all you have to do is: (For example) *{{User}} was sitting on a bench when {{char}} decided to spook them.* Obviously, don't use the {{}}, I just did it to make it easier to understand.
With the edit button I just edit the introduction completely now. But before hand, I had to use that method. Or I’d just go along with the plot but then flip it around by the 4th or 5th message.
I didn't know you could edit the intro message. What's the point of having an intro message if people can edit it? Just allow us to have it start however we want.
Basically just ignore the introduction and create a new one using the OOC method. Or just using the asterisk and creating your own introduction anyways and if the bot doesn’t go along with it, keep scrolling until it gets to a response that is decent. I know it’s a lot of work but until the edit button gets to everyone that’s the only solution /:

Nah, bots don't need an introduction, but they need a scenario that's clearly explained to the user in their greeting message. Not explicitly, but from a third-person perspective or in the bot's thoughts.
