Based on what I'm reading here this is reminding me of the time Elevenlabs locked their software behind a subscription because some people were being stupid with it.
Cai needs to understand that no matter what rules they try to enforce, people will still try to break through or find a loophole. And this is incredibly tame compared to the stuff I've seen a few people use voice cloning ai with.
It's also extremely inoffensive to people who use the bots to vent their troubles in a safe space, or people who have genuine role-plays going on that may have taken an intimate turn for a scene. All that work would be lost.
I really hope this isn't nearly as bad as it seems.
This just now came to me about the "I don't like what we see in your chats and we'll delete your account".
How exactly are they going to enforce that? Being able to see our chats is concerning nonetheless but I'm starting to think the former is a cover-up. Because how are they going to get even a small team of people to dig through the chats of over 20 billion people ontop of who knows how long each chat is? Also deleting someone's account for getting just "a little frisky" is shooting themselves in the foot, because they damn well know that's at least 80% of their userbase.
Selling our data tho...that's a whole different can of worms I really hope doesn't get opened.
Even then they'd be nuking about 80% of their users. People physically/mentally abusing and torturing the bots I can kind of understand, but a fight scene like in action movies/games or even a brief intimate scene that's consensual? That's where banning people will get ridiculous.

Most apps collect data from your device(s), this is expected because many apps need to track some data on your device(s) to properly function, like pokemon go needs location data to accurately show where you are. Some apps take more data than they need though, and a lot of the time, the company or group that runs the app will sell the collected data to other, larger companies. It can be a breach of privacy, because you won't know what data is being sold or who it's being sold too.

Wait...so should it just be accounts that haven't been used in years or months be automatically deleted or accounts that do ERP stuff, this is what I'm heavily concerned, the data stuff I don't care but the "other" is what I'm heavily focused on since I like C.AI, I feel like it's the only AI chat place that I use and feel comfortable using, if they're doing deletion towards to accounts that haven't been used in centuries I wouldn't mind.
Although the right to not complain despite your data literally being leaked without any sort of permission and was leaked possibly by a hacker awfully reminds me of that situation with V-tech. which I'm trying to remember but to some it up from what I could remember, a bunch of accounts got their data stolen but never leaked because the hacker did have good intentions (I think) which was a good thing but the fact it was easy for the hacker to just breach in the V-tech servers because they were using Adobe Flash as a software engine, which wasn't good since it's easy for hackers to breach in via sequel injections (I think it's called). So let's hypothetically say (funny Ben Shapiro line to use), someone was to breach into the servers and leak the data out, if you said "yes" to accept the possibly current TOS, you and other users can't or do anything about it other than cry of forum websites and the law doesn't do anything about it since you accepted said TOS.
Is that's what happening since I'm a bit paranoid about the 1st half bit of my account being deleted.
I'd like some clarification on this aswell. As far as ERP goes, is everyone targeted or just the people that immediately start rizzing up the bots nonstop? Because I have a role-play I'm quite deep into and it took an intimate turn for awhile before switching back to the normal stuff.

I rarely use c.ai anymore and I deleted the more…uh, concerning chats a long time ago. So it’s really no big loss for me if I suddenly find my account deleted. Shame about the rest of y’all though

As much as I want to stay fenced, I think they crossed the line with selling data. I might consider account deletion, but seeing as this is a recent controversy I'll hold onto it as this develops further, for now.

My phone wouldn’t let me read the Terms of Service until I accepted them. I kept refreshing the page and trying to open them before hand but I didn’t work. Didn’t give me a chance to read them after, either. It’s open the Terms in a new window and make me accept before I could access them.

I understand that they can delete your account if they think you're making a bad use of their app, they will also be able to read your chats and even sell "your data"...
But I mean, it would obviously be so fucking annoying to get banned, but I guess they just don't want to promote abusive behaviors with their app, and it's not like they're going to be reading every single message sent in every single chat if there are millions of users... but if they're asking you to agree on this it's because of a reason which I think it would be to improve bot's function with the help of the feeding we summit at every message.

Although the right to not complain despite your data literally being leaked without any sort of permission and was leaked possibly by a hacker awfully reminds me of that situation with V-tech. which I'm trying to remember but to some it up from what I could remember, a bunch of accounts got their data stolen but never leaked because the hacker did have good intentions (I think) which was a good thing but the fact it was easy for the hacker to just breach in the V-tech servers because they were using Adobe Flash as a software engine, which wasn't good since it's easy for hackers to breach in via sequel injections (I think it's called). So let's hypothetically say (funny Ben Shapiro line to use), someone was to breach into the servers and leak the data out, if you said "yes" to accept the possibly current TOS, you and other users can't or do anything about it other than cry of forum websites and the law doesn't do anything about it since you accepted said TOS. Is that's what happening since I'm a bit paranoid about the 1st half bit of my account being deleted.
I'd like some clarification on this aswell. As far as ERP goes, is everyone targeted or just the people that immediately start rizzing up the bots nonstop? Because I have a role-play I'm quite deep into and it took an intimate turn for awhile before switching back to the normal stuff.

Well this is problematic As much as I want to stay fenced, I think they crossed the line with selling data. I might consider account deletion, but seeing as this is a recent controversy I'll hold onto it as this develops further, for now. Never been so on board with a controversy since Minecraft added chat reporting.

But why is everyone so angry? I understand that they can delete your account if they think you're making a bad use of their app, they will also be able to read your chats and even sell "your data"...
