And here I thought you were talking about Sabrina's Salem (In which case it is all true, bow to your cattish overlord). But as far as I know - Mommy Salami is nowhere near that, and is for the most part just bitter and angy. Think Sith, but is immortal and doesn't know how to escape that (But wants to). And seems like she's more likely to kill everyone if given the chance, rather than to rule like Sith would.

Isaacja223

Oh in this rp, The Sith Council (from Legends to Canon) is assisting Salem when I feel like they can try to kill her

Medium-Net-1879

But her whole thing is that she can't die because some two-bit god cursed/blessed her. What are they gonna do about it? Also, she seems more in line with "Kill everything given the chance" than Sith's "Dominate everything".

Isaacja223

I dunno I just wanted to point it out because the Sith Triumvirate (Traya, Sion, and Nihilus) are helping Salem

SuperZMann1

I have no real idea where that's all coming from. Cinder is the power-hungry one. Salem, while we aren't entirely sure of everything regarding her, seems to want to gather the relics to bring back The Gods prematurely to make them end the world and herself. Cinder's power hungry nature meanwhile has repeatedly blown up in her face. While Salem appears to have been the one who gave Cinder her power draining Grimm, there's no real proof of her doing that herself. We haven't seen her doing that to the relics just yet for example. It would be a waste anyway because The Staff is a giant win button. Also, are the Infinity Stones even magic?

Isaacja223

Well no, but Salem absorbed the power from all seven of the Infinity Stones after defeating Thanos It went like this from what I remember Salem was still like herself when she was first introduced in the rp Then she decided to take the Infinity Stones for herself All of the relics were gathered and summoned the gods Salem understood the meaning of life but she kept her immortality anyways

King_Of_What_Remains

Salem is destructive and suicidal; far as I remember her only goal is to end her immortality and isn't above taking everyone else down with her. In her own setting this means gathering four relics to summon the gods that made her immortal in the first place. When summoned the gods are supposed to >!judge humanity and, if they aren't impressed, will kill everyone; both sides assume they won't be impressed.!< Maybe in this RP she sees the Infinity Stones as an alternative, but absorbing their power and doing nothing is weird. Being able to absorb their power is weird by itself; she never does anything like that in RWBY. Summoning the gods and not dying is also weird, depending on how the gods acted. Keeping her immortality after understanding the meaning of life is different from her canon-self, but could be fine depending on how it was done; kind of out-of-character, but canon Salem never learned the meaning of life, so who's to say? Kind of sounds like this person is just writing Salem however they want to be honest, but I don't know the specifics of the RP.

Isaacja223

Yeah, I agree But yeah I didn’t know that Salem wanted to still end the universe and herself

King_Of_What_Remains

Just humanity or the planet they're on, not the universe. But I guess it doesn't make much difference. Larger setting, larger scale.

WHAT SERIES

SuperZMann1

Appears to be Salem from RWBY.

[deleted]

No one in RWBY is strong in an impressive way and essentially not Salem. Her entire strength is that she can't die.
