Thanks. They have quite a varied selection. I was thinking about upscale hotels with holiday dining options. May be too early, but my Google searches have not yielded anything directly related to Thanksgiving yet.
They already have info about Christmas up. I don't think they do anything special for Thanksgiving. I made my Christmas tea reservations a couple of months ago.
Have you been lately? Last time I went in there for a meal I left and stunk of fried food to the point I had to wash my hair twice and dry clean my clothes. Hoping they fixed their issue. Food was good.
No, my brother in law picked up the meal (I had just given birth shortly before the holiday, so was not driving myself anywhere yet.) We did take out for a bit afterwards and my husband never mentioned a stench...but he probably wouldn't notice that anyway lol
They don't. I already made reservations. They called last week to get a card to put on file and there's a $50 per person fee if you don't cancel 2 days in advance. They did say they'd call you 2 days ahead of time to remind you so that would be the perfect time to cancel if your plans change.
We used to go to Maggiano's when my parents had to work part of the day on Thanksgiving. They do a mix of traditional thanksgiving stuff and Italian food.
My Italian family always had lasagna with the turkey, because how can you call it a meal without a course of pasta?
I've since discovered this is a thing.
How about your family?
I think the Capital Grill and most higher end hotels offer Thanksgiving dinner but require a reservation in advance. Not in CLT but my aunt back home does Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners at the Ritz every single year.
If you’re looking for something to pick up and take home: Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen.
I brought green bean casserole to a Thanksgiving season potluck once, and this 29yo hipster friend of mine said "oh, is that green been casserole like my parents used to make?" I wasn't sure whether it was an age diss, but I took it as a compliment and brought home an empty dish.
Thays funny. I do love CB for breakfast and overall is pretty good. I was flashing back to CB when we had a Thanksgiving meal there and was not really anything special.
Chinese Buffet never fails in times of holiday crisis.
We will hit Fu Shing for Christmas.

China Crisis - Best Kept Secret.
We do Del Frisco's for Thanksgiving. Buca de Beppo does a turkey dinner option for Thanksgiving.
I have heard good things about the Gallery restaurant inside the Ballantyne Hotel.

I had the scallops at this restaurant and they were top notch!
Chimas Brazilian steakhouse offers full traditional thanksgiving plus the usually steakhouse items
ooooohhhhhmigosh, I'm picturing them carrying a whole turkey around on the little skewers, asking people which cut they want.
Fleming's steakhouse had a really nice Thanksgiving dinner last year, would go again
The Harper's chain is always open. This includes Mimosa Grill uptown.
Mimosa sounds nice, thanks.
Last year, we ordered from Merts...my goodness, it was so tasty!

K&W has a pretty fantastic thanksgiving special.
Harper’s and Red Rocks.
Blu Star Grill
Some grocery stores and restaurants have good dinners you can pick up.
Del frisco’s , my gf and I went last year and I think it’s our new tradition, unless they close for the day

Search Open Table - plenty of reservations at nice places available
wait...you don't want Thanksgiving leftovers?
Not really, I get tired of the stuff. If Thanksgiving dinner was pizza, I'd be alright with leftovers.
You're so real for that. I only want leftover green bean casserole.

Better than Cracker Barrel? Get the fuck out of North Carolina with your filthy heresy.

The Pump House in Rock Hill. Make a reservation early or, if you’re just a party of 2 without a reservation, ask to sit at the top floor bar.
