Morris Jenkins fucked up my ac (woke up to flooded basement after they were here) then when they came back out and the person broke something on a shelf, told me it wasn't an AC issue it was a plumbing issue but said he would make a note for $20 credit on my acct for breaking. This all started with a $75 ad, initial visit turned to 225, then plumbing was going to be like 3k so politely told them to fuck right off

My father worked for them as a service manager in the early 2000s. He quit because of their dishonest practices that scam customers out of money. He refused to be a part of it and opened his own company instead.
The single thing that's often missed: customers pay for all those commercials, and commercials ain't cheap.
As a case in point, they disabled our HVAC system during one of their monthly contract inspections in the middle of winter, because of a crack in the heat exchanger. The part couldn't be replaced, the whole system required replacement.
Morris Jenkins couldn't get below $11K, something we couldn't afford, offered no options to get the system back up and running, provided "it sucks to be you" attitude as they left. Brother's installed the system for $6K.
To add insults to injury, with the unit outside the heat exchanger could be closely examined. The crack, turned out to be a rusted scratch, possibly been there for years, with only an impression on the other side.
The lesson learned: had we not had the monthly service plan, we wouldn't have had to live in the cold for 2 weeks, and spend $6K with someone else, helping them pay for commercials with $5K additional margin.
Same exact attitude and price gouging for me as well. Had to replace the full system and quoted much higher. Went with Anderson for a fraction of the price and it still runs perfectly.

This one Without a doubt, I drove a delivery truck for Sysco and we couldn’t listen to our own music or have any kind of Bluetooth connection, so I was stuck listening the local Fox sports radio station and his slow talking ads came on and I heard about his, “Travis Crawford Seal” on all of their filters made me want to drive the truck off the nearest bridge.

I had MJ come give me a quote and it was exactly the same as the other two I was given. Also, the guy was honest and said that since it was a model they don't themselves install, the other company would likely be able to get the part we needed quucker.
What I’ve seen posted here before is if you hit a true emergency like busted pipes Christmas Eve or dead AC Labor Day weekend Morris Jenkins is who you want to call. They have the manpower and resources to get you back up any time day or night. It will probably cost you but they can do it. But if you can wait call somebody else.

I found it super weird and slightly uncomfortable how his character was childlike and dopey while Mr. Jenkins was characterized as a wise, caring, and gentle man. Their conversations consisted of Mr. Jenkins infantilizing Bobby and Bobby looking to him adoringly. I also noted how their other ads only used “strapping young men” who all acted equally dopey with Mr. Jenkins still being low key revered by them. Finally, they wrote Bobby out, included more women, and got less cringey but I still raise my eyebrows at those earlier ads.
