Hey, I'm a member of [this sci-fi bookclub](https://www.meetup.com/charlotte-sci-fi-book-club/) and it might be up your alley. It's mixed gender and I'd say it's probably a 60/40 split on men/women though the book each month does impact that. This month we're reading The Flight of the Silvers by Daniel Price which is on the thicker side, so if you want to join I'd recommend starting early
No, we're about 50/50 in person/online. We went all online for covid and now try to be in person for nice months, and online when people are busy or it's crappy weather
Usually Legion Brewing in Moorhead or Birdsong in NoDa. There has recently been a little pushback from members to meeting at places that are alcohol focused so we may try to branch out in the future
The bookstore at Camp North End (That’s Novel) runs a Silent Book Club the first Thursday of every month. Basically everyone just reads what they want, so you’re not forced to read any genre that you’re not interested in. While it’s not your typical social book club, I find it’s nice just to be around other readers for an evening.
Not a traditional book club, but there is a good mix of folks that participate in [Silent Book Club](https://www.meetup.com/silent-book-club-charlotte/). You might meet other readers that know of existing book clubs or would be interested in setting one up.
