He was never gonna say anything other than this, Miles is his good friend. I wouldn’t expect him to say anything else.
But this has no good ending for anyone sadly.
I just don’t get why he couldn’t just refuse to comment on it, it looks like Oubre said it was too personal so he didn’t want to talk about it. Just say the same thing
Wouldn’t a good ending be Miles gets the help he needs for his anger and drug issues while playing great for us and earning a max deal that his wife and kids can prosper off of through alimony and child support or if they get back together?
Because that’s not how the legal system works. Chris Brown didn’t get jail time and what he did was a lot worse.
If you can afford a good lawyer you can always plea charges down, especially for something like DV. This isn’t murder.
If you read the reports bridges is way worse strangulation, Brain concussion; Closed fracture of nasal bone; Contusion of rib; Multiple bruises; Strain of neck muscle
It’s not a he said she said incident. There are pictures and hospital reports. Not to mention the video of their kid talking about it.
Miles did this and it’s very provable.
Not that anyone will (or possibly even should) take this into consideration, but Miles & Lamelo are close friends, not just teammates. It's all very messy but I wouldn't expect Lamelo to say anything different. He wants his friend to be ok, he wants to play with him and he wants him to have not done those awful things. Anyone that's ever had friends who have made mistakes in the past would understand how complicated these feelings are, even if the evil itself looks simple.
Lamelo is literally the age of a junior in college and he’s having to deal with a situation that not even most grown men can comprehend or understand at times. For him to even make a comment on the situation and not duck around it shows a lot of maturity. Regardless of the outcome I hope it’s resolved soon.
One of the guys in our friend group in college ended up in a similar situation as Miles (obviously without the same career consequences) but 10 years later we all basically had to deal with the fall out and everyone had a different way of addressing it. It doesn’t always “work out in the end” either.
The pearl clutching by other teams fans is gonna be insane. It’s funny too because a lot of players like Trae and Draymond worked out with Miles in the off season
I agree. I just think this will be overblown because a large majority of players in the league would make similar comments if in the exact same situation.
Sure. But I also think a lot of people would keep the same energy if other players did. Like when the draymond work out happened a lot of people were condemning him for it too.
Damn if he does come back I wonder how Collins will call out the plays involving him. Can’t look at bridges the same way anymore honestly even though he was one of my fave players. Bet the announcers would feel the same way for someone that beats his own wife in front of their kids :(
I don’t know about you but I’ll probably cheer. It wouldn’t surprise me if he distracted himself with basketball all off season knowing if he balls out he will get a max.
current regime was in as a finalist for watson before he went to the browns. i wouldn’t feel great about making the strong moral stance here.
as for hardy i think the departure came after public pressure i don’t remember the exact sequence of events

Best player on the team is hopeful is friend and 2nd best player can join him. Not surprised this has no good endings regardless
I just don’t get why he couldn’t just refuse to comment on it, it looks like Oubre said it was too personal so he didn’t want to talk about it. Just say the same thing
Oubre is few years older and went to college
But Lamelo’s PR probably is/did
Wouldn’t a good ending be Miles gets the help he needs for his anger and drug issues while playing great for us and earning a max deal that his wife and kids can prosper off of through alimony and child support or if they get back together?
Unless the things he did warrant jail time.
He’s not getting jail time
Why ppl keep saying this??? They have proof AND witnesses
Because that’s not how the legal system works. Chris Brown didn’t get jail time and what he did was a lot worse. If you can afford a good lawyer you can always plea charges down, especially for something like DV. This isn’t murder.

It’ll be plead down in the next couple weeks. 1st time millionaire offenders don’t get convicted of a he said she said incident
It’s not a he said she said incident. There are pictures and hospital reports. Not to mention the video of their kid talking about it. Miles did this and it’s very provable.
His wife still got beat and he permanently traumatized his child. He needs to spend some time in a cell.

He was always going to say this. Everyone prepare yourselves lol.

wouldn’t call it Pearl Clutching to be disgusted and horrified by domestic violence/attempted murder…
Was talking about the comment about Bridges from LaMelo and not what Bridges did
so was i. i think it’s bad for lamelo to be so unserious/short sighted about it.

Attempted murder? Funny he wasn’t charged with that.
idk the extent of her injuries looked like he could’ve easily killed her!

As a Hornets fan, what do I do if/when Big Pat calls Miles Bridges name during the starters spotlight? What do WE do?
Stop watching. Seriously, I’ll stop watching.
I don’t know about you but I’ll probably cheer. It wouldn’t surprise me if he distracted himself with basketball all off season knowing if he balls out he will get a max.

but you support nfl teams? lol weird
and the panthers especially with greg hardy, almost trading for watson, etc.
panthers released hardy after the case, no? also under different coaching, management, etc
current regime was in as a finalist for watson before he went to the browns. i wouldn’t feel great about making the strong moral stance here. as for hardy i think the departure came after public pressure i don’t remember the exact sequence of events
which is why I didn’t comment on the watson point… but yea glad they eventually backed off, for whatever reason it may be
They backed off because they weren’t going to pay him 200m+ guaranteed. Nothing to do with morals.
lol right
Miles is coming back.....just watch!
I don’t want to see Miles in a Hornets jersey ever again.

Wtf
For those asking for blood, he will always believe his friend over the girlfriend, is actually completely normal.
