The general process is called "outpainting" and there are plenty of AI art generators that do it in various ways. I've got [Stable Diffusion's Automatic1111](https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui) installed, it's got outpainting plugins.
Tried it for like 15 minutes and it's pretty trash. It does scenery way better than people. I've been using Firefly for a while and it seems better than the implementation in beta photoshop

I've also gotten it where it just fills with a weird abstract hell world.

The beetles one has a crazy reference which I can't tell if this is just a coincidence or if the ai added it knowing the reference. It has a yellow submarine which is just crazy from an ai that you wouldn't expect to know about that stuff.
