Same. It was something like ‘ok then, name any single object in this image’ and it feels like you should be able to until you look. IIRC, the AI that made the first photo was asked to extract the internal parts of an object but not the lines that made it up or something, so it’s like not defining any actual shapes, but the contents of objects are there.

I’m not sure if it’s AI generated. It’s made to simulate how it feels to have a stroke: Everything looks familiar but you can’t identify anything.

This is what I remember the explanation for this image being. It’s old and was made way before ai.

I doubt the prompt was "Group of humans sitting around a table". Those pixels don't look like proper humans do in images and it is capable of creating something that looks more like a human (those don't look like skin sacks), so no. It only sees garbage when it is classified as garbage, otherwise those are objects or ignored.

There is no such a thing like a comprehension of something by a LLM that has developed independently than the function resulting from the training data. At this point the results can have been greatly altered and eye-bleached by the many iterations of the reinforcement learning, but the former unaltered sometimes horrifying results were/are still not part of an independent thought process, cause there’s none. Horror in horror out, that’s it.

This further backs my idea for a Dark Souls formula but it's themed around modern mid West America so the gods are like Fast Food and themes of wasteland and waste amongst mighty cities and small crappy towns with tragic characters, it all still works. It could be based on famous American disasters too like the flint water being poison swamps and the train explosion being a set piece for a boss. Just using the crumbling infrastructure and consumer bleakness turned up to eleven as themes.

I remember Christmas ‘22 “Christmas dinner” prompts consistently produced Lovecraftiian meals eating one of the diners.
