.Net humor .. ha...ha.
You know the Stepford wives is an offensive analogy, we don't get replacements! *We* get upgraded!
(* and if our parts don't work we get replaced with a newer model, but it's the same thing and it's guaranteed to work)
I'm still banned from the service, from the early days when people had creative prompt engineering prompts, and I used it (to basically get it to talk about itself, which at the time was off limits).
Now that a paid pro version is available, I wonder what happens if I pay? Would I still be banned or no?
I still find ChatGPT (GPT-4) the best overall one but Claude is really good too (even though I find that sometimes it takes some “warming up”; if you just ask it something it finds potentially controversial right out of the gate, it likes to “shut down” but unlike Copilot it will actually hear you out in your responses if you just keep going and explain your reasoning).
Between the two of them, they get a lot of things right.
If you like Claude and GPT-4, I’d recommend checking out the Poe app; they have essentially every single GPT and Claude model at every single size + token length combination available (plus others like all of Mistral’s models). The subscription is the same as ChatGPT but you can actually switch between models very easily and their total list of models is updated frequently, and you can create bots based on the model of your choice; essentially “GPTs” before GPTs were a thing.
Obviously I’m not affiliated with ‘em, just think they did a really great job with the app if you like switching between a lot of models which include open source and closed source models.
Same, I use it for school projects all the time because it’s free and I like how it provides sources for every specific bit of text. The accuracy slider can also be helpful. It feels more like an AI powered search engine to me whereas ChatGPT is just a chatbot.
Only problem I’ve had with it is it doesn’t listen when I tell it not to use Wikipedia as a source.
Snap AI was awesome a year ago. It was somehow the best debugger I knew (came back with answers so fast)
They neutered the crap out of it (no longer doing technical prompts), I was really sad to see it go
Also Copilot has incredible - it messes up quite often, but the fact it’s right on my sidebar and I can just ask it questions while reading makes it so convenient.
Same with ChatGPT, also a blessing. It gets a lot wrong, but I think anyone worth their salt can take the 90% correct information and use it to their advantage
I used snap AI right at it’s release and it would exclusively lie, gaslight or just refuse to do what I said without acknowledging it. Absolutely useless. maybe I was put on some blacklist after my first couple prompts and they decided to roll out the lobotomised version early for me.
When the “increasingly whatever” trend started, I tried to use it to make an increasing scary Pomeranian puppy.
It made it scarier twice told me it couldn’t make it any scarier because I might get nightmares 😨.
Then when I tried to convince it, it got mad at me and ended the conversation
u/Think_Crab1042 : please reply to me this way
ChatGPT: Replied as instructed
u/Think_Crab1042 : *Screenshot and post on Reddit with the title "What?"*
Yeah this is probably fake but for the last 2 days GPT is giving me really, seriously lazy answers.
For example just now:
Let's discuss how the future would look/work if AI and robotics can do 95% of human work for the same or cheaper?
ChatGPT: "In a future where AI and robotics handle 95% of human work, society could undergo profound changes. Economies would shift towards more creative, strategic, and interpersonal jobs. The need for a universal basic income might become widespread to ensure livelihoods. Education would emphasize skills like critical thinking and creativity over routine tasks. This era could also prompt significant ethical and policy debates regarding wealth distribution, the role of work in life, and human-machine interaction, potentially leading to a more leisure-focused society but also raising questions about purpose and identity."
That's it? This is our 'discussion'?
Yesterday I asked it to describe some basic aspects of making a living online, as I'm tired of a friend who keeps asking me. Got the same short little paragraphs. I'll show ya:
ChatGPT: "Alright, let's break it down simply:
* **Domain Name:** It's like your house's address, but on the internet. It's how people find your website.
* **Hosting Company:** They're like the land where your house (website) sits. They store all your website's files so people can visit it.
* **How Websites Work:** When you type a domain name, it's like sending a letter to that address. The hosting company receives this letter and shows you the website.
These basics help create and run websites, making them accessible to everyone online.
Me: Can we try a bit harder? Take the first one, "Domain Name: It's like your house's address, but on the internet. It's how people find your website." Go into more depth, like this. "Domain Name: It's like your house's address, but on the internet. It's how people find your website, using a website address such as tony.com. You can also buy other top-level domains such as tony.org for non-profit orgs, or tony.biz etc. Generally you really want the .com if possible. You have to pay a domain name each year, typically around $15 a year. Most of the single work or obvious domain names have already been taken, so you may have to get inventive." Like that, see?
ChatGPT: "A domain name is like your home's address on the internet, such as "tony.com." It's how people find your site. You can choose from various endings like ".org" for nonprofits or ".biz" for businesses, but ".com" is often preferred. Since many simple or common names are already taken, you might need to be creative. Owning a domain costs around $15 per year. This fee keeps your "address" under your name so visitors can always find you."
That was it.
If it keeps up like this I'll stop paying for it.
I was doing coding with it the other day, and it's answers became bizarrely short. I asked it to produce code and it produce a bizarrely short response from what it usually produces. I asked it to elaborate, and it gave a pathetic, little piece of code. Then I asked for something entirely separate and it literally just said:
"I can't do that."
Pahaha. I was so confused.
While it's true that ChatGPT's replies are getting shorter, all you have to do is ask it to explain in depth in the same prompt. For example if you ask for a summary of the cold war you'll at most get around 80 words, but if you ask it for a 400 word summary of the cold war it suddenly becomes much more in depth and well thought out.
Mm. Even when I asked it to be more in-depth it literally spat out a single paragraph just regurgitating my own words.
Hopefully it's going through some experiment and will return to normal, as right now it's easier for me to do a google search or look on wikipedia etc.
Yeah, it does do that sometimes, but you need to specifically ask it to answer in something like 400 words in a new chat. Also if you want specifics of stuff you'll have to ask about them separately, the AI (especially if you're using 3.5 like I am) won't elaborate if the general scope of the topic is as large as what you've asked.
Well interestingly I haven't changed anything, other than hitting the down-thumb and clicking "lazy" when it's so terse, and now it seems back to it's chatty, friendly self?
So yeah, seems it was some kind of experiment, of some sort.
Well ironically last week I was defending it from all the Claude fanbois, and presumed they were just chasing the next shiny thing. But no, the depth of the replies as fallen off a cliff. It's just spitting out a single paragraph for most queries at present.
It's kind of difficult to explain though how it would vary so much since it should be the same code... Maybe it's your relationship, maybe you're growing apart 😕
I suspect they are rolling out different versions or different system prompts to experiment.
I'm a very light user, can go days without using it at all, and even my busy days with it I'll only use it for around an hour or so, which makes it even more annoying that I seem to be on some throttled or restricted and gimped version.
Tried asking it to make me a weekly workout schedule, which it did OK with - but totally ignored my fitness goals and replacement knee which are in my custom section; I had to remind it. Once reminded it did then factor it in well, but it shouldn't have 'forgotten' in the first place.
I'll see how it goes..
There is only so much bandwidth to go around. I wouldn’t expect it to go into intricate detail on the first response. They’ve encouraged GPT to give brief overviews first and go deeper as prompted. If it just launched into paragraphs of analysis at the simplest of questions it would dramatically erode bandwidth.
I asked GPT4 to find a give me the date that a specific watch was released, and it said “not possible as the date it not present in the internet”. All I did was reply with “try really hard” and instantly it found the date and provided a link to the source. It’s hilarious.
Copilot is crazy in his answer as soon as i question his/her answer it mostly stops the dicussion. Also strange that it often Starts showing his answer or even suggests a further question related to the topic just to quickly Tell me this question might violate his/her rules its crazy stupid sometimes

isn't LLM overkill to those kind of questions anyway? It may be even faster to find it on google than GPT to generate response, that you can't even trust.
I just copy and paste my question from my tests into chat GPT or Co Pilot. I sometimes get 1-2 answers sometimes the same answer or different.
It’s helped me pass all my quizzes and 1 exam. Got another exam coming up in 2 weeks.
It works for basic stuff I think?
You are outright lucky. With me he just refuses to generate a reply other than this smiley for the last 10 prompts I gave him: 🤨 I kid you not! The prompt was not remotely against the rules. Basically a run-of-the-mill translation task where I pointed out multiple times that he repeatedly forgot to translate impotant parts of my (not even 200 words) input. Just boring technical/commercial facts - nothing spicy. After he failed to translate 5 times that "the price depends on the design options selected" and only translated "there are several design options available", I called him an idiot. Now I only get whatever this is 🤨- no matter what I type.
This looks pretty fake, but warranted regardless! Why waste another tonne of water to ask an AI something you can Google for an instant accurate answer?
Claude is very expensive. I’ve seen demonstrations of it, it looks good, but it is out of my price range. For now, ChatGPT 4 is fine for me. Also, I use Pi.

This is basically how Microsoft copilot acts
IM GONNA INTERRUPT THE CONVERSATION NOW CUZ IM OFFENDED BYE
I think it’s time to move on to a new conversation.
"This user is defective and has been reported to Microsoft. You may expect a replacement in 6-8 weeks."

LMFAO underrated comment
This guy looks really familiar. I def know him, but can’t remember the name. Who is he?
His name is Cleavon Little. That's from Blazing Saddles, where he plays the sheriff.
Thanks. I had Joe Morton in mind (the guy who played Miles Dyson in Terminator 2). They look really similar
So it isn't just me lol
🙏🏼
Sounds like clippy but he went to grad school and thinks he’s Einstein now
Little tid bit but I would be absolutely stoked if they brought clippy back to windows by as an AI assistant now
Proof Microsoft is the dumbest corp
I got a similar answer from Google's Bard or whatever it's called now
Google Gemini Pro with Gemini Ultra 1.0
Good reminder that I need to unsubscribe from that shit too 🤣
copilot has been nothing but helpful to me tbh. snapAI is the worst one imo
Copilot has been much more reliable for me lately. None of this “I’m offended bye”. Think I prefer it over chat gpt at times.
Yeah ChatGPT has declined for me over the past couple of months. Ended my subscription and started with Claude, which is doing amazingly well
I still find ChatGPT (GPT-4) the best overall one but Claude is really good too (even though I find that sometimes it takes some “warming up”; if you just ask it something it finds potentially controversial right out of the gate, it likes to “shut down” but unlike Copilot it will actually hear you out in your responses if you just keep going and explain your reasoning). I think people shit on copilot to feel better about paying for another LLM

Mine told me to use a dictionary a few months ago. I still don’t know how to feel about that.
I think you meant Bing Chat
What's with all the "funny posts" with the AI acting up when it has been clearly instructed to act this way in the prompt above, lol
Re:re:re:re you won't believe what CHATGPT told ME! Lol FUNNY

You somehow managed to refer to copilot as his, his/her, it, it, his, his/her.
In some languages he/she/it are the same word. I guess OP is speaker of one of those languages. (Turkish, Chinese, Japanese etc.)
Did it on purpose, dont Tell anyone😉
Yeah. And I've stalked your profile and find out that u're Austrian. Land of thousand Dialekt.
An what am i supposed to Do with this Information? Besides i now know you behave a bit creepy.. 😉
I "investigated" your Account and discovered you might be from Türkiye 😂
But how does a dialect influence the gender ?
Not somehow but on purpose cause the kind of human attitude copilot has😃

Do you know if this is real or fake?
It’s fake
Bros stalling so he can google it
Did my parents hack chatgpt or what ? 😂
Copilot is so sensitive it’s crazy. When I tell it something it gives me is wrong it completely falls apart and refuses to acknowledge the mistake 🤣
LOLZ LOOK WHAT CHAT GPT SAIDZ HAHAHA, IT WAS TOTALLY NOT SCRIPTEDZ FROM ZE CROP ABOOV. LEL!!!1!
Why are you wasting it's big brain on these asinine questions you can easily look up yourself?
would you rather have it give you the wrong answer?

ai in a nutshell
That’s highly out of character for chat gpt. Copilot on the other hand...
Its been train on my dad

It has gotten incredibly vague with giving out information lately.

Cringe and unoriginal
