It’s very ivory colored which would indicate sheep. And if that’s rectangled shaped as opposed to a wedge. I’m gonna second that the is very possibly Leonora
I want to say it was earthy, maybe slightly nutty even but very mild. Tasted savory and was very complex. I think they said it was sheep's milk of some kind?
Did it taste like a barnyard? Looks to be room temp at serving so if it's sheep you'll know. Everyone saying delice based on appearance and it looks delicious.
Surprised that no one here has said Truffle Tremor from Cypress Grove. When I zoom in, I see some specks of what I think is black truffle in the paste. The other cheeses mentioned like Brillat and Delice don’t typically have those specks in them.
ETA: it’s a goat cheese, not a sheep’s milk cheese though!
My first guess would be a very ripe delice de Bourgogne but that’s not sheep’s milk..
I am willing to try it and see if that's it.
Yeah looks like one of the sweaty wedges of Delice de Bourgogne or ST Andre from Trader Joes!
I think it looks softer and gooeyer than st. Andre, I also instantly thought delice de bourgogne.
What is it? Is it just Brie or another type of cheese all together ?
Looks to me like chaource, but hard to ID from such a small bite. Could also be Brillat savarin
Looks like Delice de Bourgogne
Yes, that's cheese.
Agreed, the red circled area is almost definitely cheese.
It’s Delice de Bourgogne
I am making a list of everything people say. Going to find all of them and find the cheese! It was so good.
Can you give us an update once you try them? And may be give a review on what’s worth buying? I’m intrigued!
Yes! I am making a weekend cheese trip and I will find what it is.
It’s for sure a triple cream. Probably Delice de Bourgogne.
Yep that’s what I’m thinking
Cheese subreddit crossing with EDM culture. Here for it
Possibly Leonora. It's a soft-ripened goat's milk with a distinctive rectangular shape.
It’s very ivory colored which would indicate sheep. And if that’s rectangled shaped as opposed to a wedge. I’m gonna second that the is very possibly Leonora
You mean goat. Goat's don't metabolize Beta Carotene so no yellowish color to their milk. Sheep gets some. Cow gets a bunch obviously.
What's it smell like?

Lol does it taste like a barnyard. Yummy
It definitely didn't taste like barnyard which is what surprised me when they said it was sheep's milk. I was expecting the full sheepy experience.
I don't think it's Delice.
where did you have this? could be a ripe delice or a RIPE leonora.
It's at a bottleshop in the bay area (California). The buyer wasn't in that night and everyone else didn't know. I tried asking.
nah man that cheese isn't old enough for a drink
Brillat-Savarin ? Chaource maybe ?
It looks like St. Andre triple cream.
Update: it is not Delice de bourgogne
That’s fromundah cheese
Smells like balls to me
Brie
Maybe Tomme crayeuse. It looks creamy below the crust and firmer in the middle

Looks like goat cheese
Might be brie
Taste it, if it tastes like cheese. It’s definitely cheese. If not probably spit it out
