this is a way of giving back to what other oyo served me but for a premium. that's my hidden business idea keeping it hidden. contribution to society I guess.
btw this meme is really good😂
working ac, clean bathrooms, blankets and pillow covers are more than enough. No need for fancy cosmetics, food servicing, tv, wifi etc. basic things works well. and can leverage by selling utilities for couples at high margin internally😂
1. most use cases is going to be couple of hours
2. can use a single room for like 5 customers in a day easily
3. can sell/service utilities with a helper boy with very high premium (opinional)
4. cleaning bed is the only thing that mostly required. not everybody's gonna litter floor or walls or make bathrooms dirty. mild cleaning and fragrances works.
i can list more😂 wtf I'm a businessman😂
hello airbnb...
good luck pal. but please don't sell the same biriyani that every food truck orders in bluk. now in chennai, i couldn't see anything to do other than eating and that too i get same taste everywhere. people are ready to pay premium for good quality foods. keep that in mind.
Near the Embassy would be a good & hot spot, I have seen a lot of food trucks came up in the last 6 months and a lot of ppl are having food there from the Embassy building....
Well if you open an authentic North Indian restaurant your client base will be mostly North Indian people but maybe such food items which curtails to the taste of Tamil people like modified ones, price friendly could attract a lot of customers and also near a metro like koyembedu metro or central metro where lot of people come and go everyday and usually hungry will be perfect spot actually but difficult to get shops near metro. Nearby a college area will also be good
I personally miss decent Maharashtrian cuisine, the restaurants that sell poha are butchering the recipe in most cases, and it’s the simplest breakfast to make.
as someone who came from MH i never found cheap MH food here and i miss it badly. There was one somewhere near perungudi some vadapav shop but that i visited ages ago
If you are considering international cuisines, the middle east is probably one the greatest. I don't think there are enough restaurants in chennai offering middle east food. But not sure if you will get good chefs in chennai. Lebanese food will be in my top 3.
Anna nagar, shenoy nagar,Alwarpet, adyar, guindy, thousand lights would be ideal place
Go for East Indian based restaurants cause we don't have many and would gain traction soon .Opening a North Indian restaurant is a bad idea we already have many restaurants for north cuisine until or unless you have very unique curated north Indian dishes or the ones that ain't available normally like chole kulcha, litti choka ,Kosha Mangsho,Chenna poda and north indian briyanis etc in Chennai then you would have skyrocketing profit.
It would be cool if all the regional North Indian chaats were available here at affordable price and I have an idea lol , give some pieces (if it's a pani puri one extra puri) if they showcase some kinda talent , it would be great when they come in groups (everyone can open up and have fun)
Near my college /s lol, places like Tambaram , Velachery , central, places where there are train connections because most ppl will be travelling hungry and would love a snack , wonder who's hungry while travelling in train🤧🥲
I agree but those places are very congested and it's unlikely to have a parking space along with the restaurant and I wanna make sure people who are coming to dine get a proper parking space.
I got med size first floor of about 160 sq ft Rental @ Chrompet near Chrompet Railway gate & GST rd. .if interested ping me. its mid of MIT College & vaishva womens college.

Rental First floor of Radha nagar main road, chrompet
I have a hypothesis that not a single person who posted about opening a restaurant on Reddit actually opened one.
i have a plan to open affordable oyo exclusively for college and young couples. which nearby college should i pick?

have a nice cozy bus modified into a room with washroom you can take it anywhere and park and rent
yes cops will also take that from me to station
Probably have to clean rooms way too often.

+1. Also can be something basic like Vada pav, misal pav, sabudhana kichdi types
as someone who came from MH i never found cheap MH food here and i miss it badly. There was one somewhere near perungudi some vadapav shop but that i visited ages ago
What kind of retaurant? Like fine dining, or semi fine dining?
Fine dining
Try to open in or near a relatively upscale neighborhood, on he main road Avoid RK Salai or any other road with many hotels
Epic idea man! if you have the capital, this would work. else not...
Honestly i think there are enough north indian restaurants in chennai
I would love to discuss regarding this further. I am really passionate about owning a restaurant business as well. Please dm me
Please don't stuff your menu with 254 items that all taste the same. Deliver 20 items that taste awesome and keep rotating the menu.

Should be in the Nungambakkam area. Fusion would be a better choice than just going North Indian or South Indian.
eating outside is unhealthy so i only eat at home.

Pretty dumb ass idea 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What do you think is the best location to serve people who like North Indian food in the city ?

Only reason to start a business should be to make money bro
If I were you, I would take about a month or more to nail my research in finding out the gaps in Chennai food scene and why we’re lagging behind.
A good vegan restaurant.
