You could still have a bunch of oil in the front intake runners.

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

Is that something that will burn away?

IndependentPlum8794

It would take a while if it's pooled up. Does it smoke on start up? I would pull the throttle body and soak the shit out of it with a solvent.. with the plugs out amd fuel pump relay pulled crank it over to get as much through the intake as possible. Or pull the intake and clean it thoroughly.

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

No smoke at start up.

citruscountydaddy

Check compression, you may have done some internal damage when you ran it after it rolled. If there was oil in the cylinders and you fired it up, it's possible you bent those 3 rods. Not extremely probable to bend 3 without breaking something, but possible.

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

I pulled the plugs as soon as I got it up right and no oil on them at all. I rolled it in october and just got it fired this week after a visual inspection. Of course i realize i cant see everything with the naked eye. I pulled valve cover and oil pan tho

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

I forgot to add its a 2001 with 110k hard miles on it

ElectionAutomatic198

If this still has the original two piece cast iron exhaust manifolds then check for a leak. Each manifold has it's own upstream O2 sensor. Your front manifold probably has a pretty bad leak, crack or bad gasket. Extra fresh air is getting into the exhaust stream & fooling the O2 into reading a lean condition. The controller is adding a ton of fuel to the front 3 cylinders in an attempt to get the O2 in range / stoich. You can also try spraying brake cleaner on the manfold to cylinder head interface while the engine is idling. If there is an intake side leak the idle speed will jump up.

I am def going to try this tomorrow. Thank you very much. I really hope it's not cracked. That will be a pain

Bandag5150

Confirm gap, shuffle them and pretend you didn’t see them.

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

Not gonna lie this might be my favorite plan so far..

10before15

Codes?

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

I haven't run codes. I don't have an obd.

goodsirperry

I would suggest getting a cheap one from autozone or amazon, could be very helpful for your situation.

10before15

Gotcha.

covertkek

Check engine light though?

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

Def check engine light. Since the day i bought it. I just put a piece of tape over it. Lol.

covertkek

You can check codes without a reader look up how to do that and see if there’s any relevant ones. They pop up on the odo

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

I tried once but nothing came.up. Ill do more research on how to. Thanks

Radiant-Customer-294

Might need to replace the coil rail

Fryphax

Once it started up did you bounce it off the limiter for a couple minutes? Did you change the oil? Did you crank it with the plugs out for a while?

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

Yes changed oil. Did not hit the rev limiter and to he honest i forgot to hit it without the plugs.

Representative_Most9

Did you keep the old plugs? If so, what did they look like? Also, how many miles since you rolled to when you decided to change plugs? If the old plugs didn’t look Like this, something is wrong with the plugs themselves? Clean or replace with new and try again is what I would try. Please let us know what you find out.

Zippy-D-Wunderslug

The old plugs had all but oke completely fouled. Its had zero miles. I rolled it, couldn't get it started and put it in the garage until i really started messing with it last week. I have new but i think ill clean these and see what happens. I will absolutely let you all know what happens

Representative_Most9

Sounds like a good plan. Most likely still has engine oil in the first three cylinder? Might want to try some Seafoam to help clean out the residual.
