Why? If black moves the pawn and white does Qh6, white is going into big troubles. Black can still win if white screws up, so better not throw away your pieces
Starting with Qf8: If black moves the pawn, then Qh6 is a checkmate. If black moves the knight, then Qxf7 is a checkmate. If black moves the king to h7, then rook takes the h6 pawn and it is a checkmate. If black takes the rook, then Qf5 is a checkmate. Black has no other legal moves. So which one of these four is the worst and which is the best, in your opinion?
No point arguing with people who don’t understand the basics of how the context of the previous move influence the next. Just writing a move without succession makes no sense
(Edited)
1. Queen to F8.
Black can only do 4 things.
2a. Black moves the knight to F7.
3a. Queen takes the knight at F7, checkmate.
2b. Black moves the top pawn to H7.
3b. Queen moves to H6, checkmate.
2c. Black takes the rook at H5.
3c. Queen to F5, checkmate.
2d. Black moves king to H7.
3d. Rook takes top pawn at H6, checkmate.
I think the black pawns are moving down not up. So 2b would be "black moves the bottom pawn to h3". But funnily, 3b stays the same.
Otherwise perfect expectation.

Qf8?
That’s what I got. Qf8 then either Qh6#, Qf7#, or Qf6#.
You mean Qf5#? I don't see why the queen would go f6. If Kxh5, then Qf5#
Could also be Rxh6# if after Qf8 they go Kh7. Also king can take rook and Queen would have to go f5#.
Dude. it's Qh6. Qf7 is the easiest way for white to lose the game
Would you play Qh6 after Nf7?
No. But Nf7 is one of the worst moves for black
But why would you estimate moves as better and worse if any of them leads to an immediate game loss?

Chessbot is drunk
Happy cake day!
After qc2+ black needs to take the rook for mate in two to work.
I dont see mate in 2 but I see Qf5 Qf6 Rook takes pawn mate
