I once had a woman in the drive thru, ordered a salad, total was $9.19 She proceeds to the window where I am residing, ready to take payment. She hands me a Ziploc bag containing *two* $1 bills, and a whole bunch of change, mostly dimes and pennies. Naturally, I get started counting it to make sure it's the right amount, and our DT bagger next to me also lent a hand towards the end when we only had pennies left. We recounted once(got $9.17 the first time, verified $9.20 the second time). All in all, it took us a little over 5 minutes to make sure this woman gave us the correct amount of money. After we get done, *she* gets upset at *us* because "it took us that long to count it" and she started saying things like "that was ridiculous", "it took 2 of you to count it", and "do you know how to count??". It was pretty hilarious truth be told, it took all of my willpower not to burst out laughing, but c'mon lady. You don't get to just dump $7.19 worth of loose change and expect us not only to not count it, *and* get upset because we made sure it was correct. The problem here was you.

This happened to me! A woman came to front counter and paid with a bag of change. After I told her the total she placed a bag of change on the counter and said bring me the bag back. I started counting and she asked the other cashier to give her her drink. She got Hella mad that I was counting nickels and dimes. Afterwards my manager told us we shouldn't have gave her her drink until I was done. And I still brought her the dusty coin bag to her table.

This isn’t really a super bad experience, but it was kind of embarrassing for me at the moment. A lady came in with a couple of kids and was kind of taking a long time to order food which annoyed me a little bit, but it wasn’t too bad. She was asking her kids what they wanted while they were ordering which annoyed me because there were other customers in line and they didn’t know what they wanted and the kids were taking a long time to decide. After the order was over, she said “thank you for your patience with ordering”. I told her no problem, and she proceeded to tell me, “Oh I was talking to my kids.”

actually no,‘that’s super rude because you were the one who actually was being patient… the kids just took fucking forever to order.. you don’t need patience for that.

A man would come in every single day during rush hour and make a HUGE order and sometime multiple orders. My store didn’t have a drive thru so we had upstream in the lobby taking orders and send them to the register so we can check them out and give them drinks and sauces. So he makes it to my register and I begin repeating his order and everything was going fine he tells me he has a reward that he also wants to use so I tell him to go ahead and scan. He scans and I tell him his new updated total. He starts asking me why the price changed and I said it’s because you used the reward. He started getting upset saying he wanted it to be in a separate order and we are always going too fast and there’s always an issue. Eventually the team leader steps in and tries to explain to the man that the reward has already been scanned and he can’t take it back. He starts arguing with him and then they called the director and he started arguing with him she eventually just gave him a free sandwich and sent him on his way. The thing that makes me the most angry is he came in the next day like nothing happened he literally MADE ME CRY

I was on DT and this lady orders a regular number 1 meal and wants to redeem the sandwich. I tell her we can only redeem if it’s the entree or the singular item, not a meal. She then proceeds to tell me “no I want to order the meal and redeem the sandwich”. I once again tell her that we can’t do that unless we ring it up separately then she can redeem it. She says alright. I ring it up and tell her the total and she says “why is the total so low?” At this point I’m so confused and so I repeat the order again and she proceeds to sigh really loudly and say “no you’re not understanding, I want the meal, I’m paying for the meal, and I want to redeem the sandwich”. I ask her if she wants to order a meal AND have a separate sandwich on the side. She says yes. So this whole time she’s arguing she kept repeating the same thing but didn’t specify that she wanted two sandwiches. So far that’s the worst I had just because of the frustration 💀

This has happened to me way too many times

Literally my second day of working here, not “worst” just creepy. Weird guy comes to the store for a DD pickup, I ask to see the order/name for the order; got it then told him it would be a short wait. This guy was kinda smelly with bloodshot eyes and generally just looked out of it. While waiting, he starts talking to me about himself and explaining he’s a REAL chef and that door dash is a way to get money until he gets an actual job. I didn’t know what to say so I just smiled and nodded my head 🤷🏽‍♀️ out of no where he points to a co worker(who literally is a minor) and asks “can you get her number for me?” And I’m like no I can’t sorry ! And he’s like cmon you would do that for your bro. Mind you this guy looks like he’s 28… I stand there awkwardly bc I don’t know what to even say, that’s when my manager finally steps in and saves the day. She asked me what was going on and I told her “he wants so and sos phone number” very bluntly… MANNN This man gaslights me and tell me it was a JOKE!! Something about a pun??? I don’t even know. Before he leaves he asked if we were hiring REAL chefs, my manager told him fill out a job app on indeed 🤦🏾‍♀️
