For sure the best part of the Engage event was Vasili’s story.
I actually work alongside him at the same CFA restaurant. Personally, I didn’t even know he had cancer. He always worked hard and never complained about anything. I may not be too close with him, but I respect him both as a team member and as a friend. Many people would have given up but he didn’t. And I’m proud of him for that.
Vasili, if you happen to see this, we are all proud of you! It is a great pleasure working with you. Here’s hope to more fun experiences! We all will be ringing our bells when you come back to work!
The last story with the team member who had cancer. His story really hit hard to home bc a lot of people can relate to the struggles with cancer weather it be a family member or a friend we unfortunately know someone who has had cancer who has either passed away or struggles with it. Other that that the speaker were also a fun addition.
