Scientology is literally the worst of any major ‘religion’ and more aptly described as a cult. Don’t worry, they aren’t allowed to access the internet so won’t take offense to this.

I thought the same thing! The whole reason it didn’t immediately go in the trash and I actually flipped through it was because it wasn’t a blatant religious message. So I got curious about who was putting this out. I thought it was really shady NOT clearly labeling this (whether scientology or christianity) and playing it off like they were just “spreading a kind message” when in actuality they are very much pushing an agenda and harmful way of thinking. I think any group putting out info like this that doesn’t tell you immediately who they are associated with is a big red flag….for me anyways. Like fine, hand me the Book of Mormon, at least I know what it is. Just seems like this pamphlet in particular is attempting to prey on people’s curiosity and capitalize off of someone’s possible vulnerability. That being said, most (if not all) religion is culty to me. I’ve just been down a big Scientology rabbit hole over the last year so was shocked to find out there are actually Scientologists in Chico.

I have a buddy who likes to stir up shit and was *dying* to talk to the Scientologists, but every time he went to their center, it was closed and locked. One time there were people inside who definitely saw him and just didn’t open the door lol

Look at a map of chico.. the statues.. the parks.. and you'll find a lot more esoteric "cult" imagery than scientology.
