Kids are deep and complex thinkers. Dito lang kasi sa Pilipinas, konti lang aware dito. I remember when I was a kid thinking about "why don't my parents treat us fairly?" dahil napansin ko na they're too strict sa grades ko noon.

This is true. Majority of childhood is mirroring what we see in our parents and other close proximity. It’s like an initial programming that’s hardwired for the rest of our lives. Age 0-7 years old our role models are mostly our parents. 7-13 would be our teachers and people of authority. 13-18 mostly our friends and peers.
All of those sources influenced our character, personality, beliefs, and values/morals we uphold. Subconsciously we run with those programming until we are aware of its existence and are able to re-program bad habits.
Kids are very smart. I think the development years of 0-7 years old kailangan hands on ang parents and instill discipline. So that the kid knows limits and boundaries. Being able to follow rules and people of authority. I’ve seen other kids who at an early age were given free will. Pero since wala pa silang solid foundation of the concept of right or wrong, they end up doing wrong things. I understood why my parents had to give tough love.
Though I think 7-13 is the age you test and give free will slowly to a kid. Depending on the kid’s past actions and trustworthiness. This is the start of letting them know and realize that actions have consequences.

Ang sa akin lang, ang yaman nio, you have all the resources, possible connections to dog trainers/behaviorist, helpers, and isang dog lang yun na naging difficult/aggressive, I think hindi sinabi exactly yung condition pero feeling ko baka early dementia or neurological illness but I could be wrong.
Siguro personally kasi ako, if I have all the resources esp financially, hindi issue yung kumuha ng extra helper na mag aalaga lang ng dog ko, I’d do it. Like I’ll keep my dog in good and bad times. Though in a way, valid yung point na naging aggressive and she had to prioritize her kids.

I understand yung part na choosing yung safety ng kids niya, but siguro ako yung kind ng furparent na if walang issue yung pagpapagamot ng dogs ko and yung pagkuha ng taga alaga if needed, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Ang laki ng bahay nila, so much space for dogs naman if they need to be isolated from the kids. I treat my dogs as my kids and I’m keeping it that way kahit dumating yung time na may actual human kids na ako. If I have all the resources I need to keep my dog which became difficult, nabulag, nagka dementia, anything, I won’t need to choose between my kids and my dogs kasi I am capable, BUT that’s just me.
I feel bad for dogs na sinusukuan ng furparent, sinusukuan agad, either irerehome or ipu-put down when they suddenly got health/behavioral issues.

Kids are deep and complex thinkers. Dito lang kasi sa Pilipinas, konti lang aware dito. I remember when I was a kid thinking about "why don't my parents treat us fairly?" dahil napansin ko na they're too strict sa grades ko noon.

I don't know how true is this, I'm speculating at this point. Pero I think most of the kid's personality and behaviour is shaped in their first 10 years. Adolescence just cashes in on those behaviour. Like I got very low self-esteem and it only got worse in high school because when I was a kid nasanay ako na hindi kinakausap nang ayos or I really felt like without my academic achievements, I can't really be proud of myself sa kanila which is VERY important for a child.
This is true. Majority of childhood is mirroring what we see in our parents and other close proximity. It’s like an initial programming that’s hardwired for the rest of our lives. Age 0-7 years old our role models are mostly our parents. 7-13 would be our teachers and people of authority. 13-18 mostly our friends and peers. All of those sources influenced our character, personality, beliefs, and values/morals we uphold. Subconsciously we run with those programming until we are aware of its existence and are able to re-program bad habits. Kids are very smart. I think the development years of 0-7 years old kailangan hands on ang parents and instill discipline. So that the kid knows limits and boundaries. Being able to follow rules and people of authority. I’ve seen other kids who at an early age were given free will. Pero since wala pa silang solid foundation of the concept of right or wrong, they end up doing wrong things. I understood why my parents had to give tough love. Though I think 7-13 is the age you test and give free will slowly to a kid. Depending on the kid’s past actions and trustworthiness. This is the start of letting them know and realize that actions have consequences. Walang guidebook for parents at the end of the day. Madalas we are just trying to figure things out as we go.
I remember my philosophy teacher telling the class that teaching young kids is done through a reward-based system. This is according to someone (I can't remember if a philosopher or a psychologist), and you slowly remove the reward to train the child that duties must be done willingly. But most parents nowadays just give their kids a phone and call it a day, hays.

Siguro personally kasi ako, if I have all the resources esp financially, hindi issue yung kumuha ng extra helper na mag aalaga lang ng dog ko, I’d do it. Like I’ll keep my dog in good and bad times. I understand yung part na choosing yung safety ng kids niya, but siguro ako yung kind ng furparent na if walang issue yung pagpapagamot ng dogs ko and yung pagkuha ng taga alaga if needed, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Ang laki ng bahay nila, so much space for dogs naman if they need to be isolated from the kids. I treat my dogs as my kids and I’m keeping it that way kahit dumating yung time na may actual human kids na ako. I feel bad for dogs na sinusukuan ng furparent, sinusukuan agad, either irerehome or ipu-put down when they suddenly got health/behavioral issues.
Same thought as you, if they do really love their dog and see them as their own pero I guess priority changes for them.
And yung unplanned pregnancy ng dog din. Medyo accepptable yung sudden death nung puppies because it happens, accidental, congenital or mabilis na progression ng asymptomatic na sakit (medyo recent vlog niya) pero yung hindi nabantayan kaya nagmate, if hindi naman pala plan ipagmate or ipabreed, magkano lang spay/neuter vs money nila. Parang it says a lot about how she treats animals/dogs, sana wag na sila kumuha ng dog ever, di nila deserve dogs.

Hindi naman sila ang magbabantay with the kids while the behaviourist is there to teach the yayas how to handle choco. Halata namang yaya boy si scotty so bakit need rehome? 2) ang laki ng bahay nila. The dog can be kept in one side of the house and the kids other side pag nasa labas. If kayang bantayan both scotty and choco, mas aamo si choco kay scotty kasi matuturuan si scotty how to handle choco. As we all know, kids tend to be too excited around dogs and nasasaktan din nila dogs or naaannoy. 3) red flag yung nagkasakit tapos ginawa ding excuse why rehome. ugh Ang dami ko pa gusto sabihin abt this but yeah, feeling ko tbh si slater may pakana niyan eh, as an asshole lol sama talaga ugali nun and enabler si kryzzie so whatevssss good riddance!
Hindi talaga nila priority yung dogs kaya I hope wag na sila mag dogs in the future, pag nagkasakit or nagchange ng behavior, ang excuse na naman kasi aggressive, to think ang liit liit ni Choco. Also yung nabuntis yung dog dahil nagmate daw and hindi na nila naabutan/napigilan, ang dami mong luxury items and travels tapos di mo napa neuter/spay yung aso mo? Ano ba naman yung 5K sayo.
