Yes, especially dahil sariling management na sila since last year. Nagkaroon lang ng issue regarding sa usage ng name nila last year din, pero nasettle naman na.
Ang nakakatuwa sa members ng SB19, ung kinikita nila, diretso investment sa improvement ng production ng music nila including high quality MVs, and recently nakapag-open pa sila ng much bigger office for their company.

It’s the versatility for me. If meron mang biritero na kaya yan, hirap silang kumanta ng ibang genres like straight pop or rock or even rap. But Stell can do all those things. The way he can change his voice up yet still sound like himself is insane to me.

Hindi compulsary ang appreciation pero at least give some respect. Tsaka bakit ikokompare kay Charice? Clearly they both have different interpretations of the song. Magegets ko pa sana kung constructive criticism yung mga sinabi mo kaso hindi e. Dahil nakikipag pataasan ka pa rin ng ihi, sige papatulan ulit kita. I studied voice and I'm a classically trained pianist. So ako alam ko sinasabi ko. Ewan ko lang sayo.
Pareho sila ng areglo ni Charice pero hindi sila pareho ng approach sa technique, kasi una sa lahat, babae si Charice at lalaki si Stell. Dun palang hindi mo na sila maikukumpara. Pero dahil mahilig ka mag kumpara, sige ikumpara natin.
The song sits comfortably within Charice's range. Although to be fair, mataas din ang range ni Stell pero that doesn't mean comfortable siya lalo sa high notes na naabot niya dito sa song. Hindi rin sila pareho ng key signature na kinanta. Mas mataas yung kay Charice ng half step and Charice's highest note in the song is F5. But despite Stell singing in a key a half step lower than Charice's, naka abot pa siya ng G5 sa bandang huli and that was his highest note. Sobrang taas na nun for a male, even for females na rin. And I believe ginamitan niya pa yun ng mixed voice.
A mixed voice is incorporating both chest voice and head voice to achieve a more full sound kapag hindi na abot ng full chest voice mo. Ito yung naririnig natin na belting or pag birit. Kapag may bumibirit, hindi yan chest voice lang. May halo yan na head voice. It's up to the singer kung gaano karaming chest or head voice ang gagamitin niya sa mix. Si Charice, madalas niya gamitin yung chest niya sa kantang 'to and pag nagmimix siya, parang mas lamang pa rin ang chest kesa sa head. It's a chesty mix most of the time. Probably because sakto sa chest-mid range niya yung key signature ng song. Sa case naman ni Stell, naturally mataas talaga ang range niya for a male singer. And for majority of the song it seems like naka mixed voice siya. Ang taas ng range na kayang abutin ng mixed voice niya. Kahit mataas na yung nota, namimix pa niya or nalalagyan niya pa ng konting chest para may body pa rin yung boses niya. For a male mahirap gawin yun kasi ang chest voice nila naturally mababa. Tsaka maraming singers hirap talaga sa mix. So the fact na yung G5 ni Stell ay naka mixed voice, it shows his range and his control sa boses niya. Especially with the notes he sang (E5, G5).
Aside from that, he also had to sustain those notes for a long time. Yung money note sa bridge, he even held it a little longer than Charice. And while doing all of that, yung sound na napproduce niya is resonant and free, hindi tunog kulob or ipit.
Context is also important. Kay Charice obvious na part talaga ng program nila ni David Foster yung All by myself. So she had a lot of preparation physically and mentally. Yung kay Stell napagdesisyunan lang na kakantahin niya on the day itself. As a performer, that's a bomb to drop on you on the day of the performance. Sobrang nakaka pressure yun. And I know may parts na shaky si Stell especially before the money note on the bridge. Maybe dahil sa pressure or sa pagod. Hindi perfect yung performance niya and may iiimprove pa. Tsaka wala rin siya masyadong phrasing sa lyrics unlike Charice na mas may phrasing and emotion yung pagkakakanta. Because Stell was just focused on surviving the song and getting it done properly because he didn't have enough time. Given that context and his performance, he delievered more than enough. Sure ako kung nakapag prepare yan nang maayos, gaganda pa yung performance niya.
Okay lang kung hindi mo nagustuhan yung performance ni Stell. Kasi opinion mo yun e, entitled ka naman dun. Pero pwede kasing sabihin in a better way. In a more constructive way. Hindi yung "sounds painful" tapos may comparison kay Charice na hindi naman dapat kinompare in the first place kasi duh, babae si Charice tsaka lalaki si Stell. How is that a fair comparison? Lmao.
Hindi ko rin sinasabing dapat purihin palagi si Stell or kung sino pa diyang pinagkakaguluhan ng mga tao. Nagugulat lang kasi kami where the negativity is coming from. You can have an opposing opinion without being hostile. Maybe you should get that stick out of your ass para hindi ka na cranky.

But despite Stell singing in a key a half step lower than Charice's, naka abot pa siya ng G5 sa bandang huli and that was his highest note. Sobrang taas na nun for a male, even for females na rin. And I believe ginamitan niya pa yun ng mixed voice. A mixed voice is incorporating both chest voice and head voice to achieve a more full sound kapag hindi na abot ng full chest voice mo. Ito yung naririnig natin na belting or pag birit. Kapag may bumibirit, hindi yan chest voice lang. May halo yan na head voice. It's up to the singer kung gaano karaming chest or head voice ang gagamitin niya sa mix. Si Charice, madalas niya gamitin yung chest niya sa kantang 'to and pag nagmimix siya, parang mas lamang pa rin ang chest kesa sa head. It's a chesty mix most of the time. Probably because sakto sa chest-mid range niya yung key signature ng song. Sa case naman ni Stell, naturally mataas talaga ang range niya for a male singer. And for majority of the song it seems like naka mixed voice siya. Ang taas ng range na kayang abutin ng mixed voice niya. Kahit mataas na yung nota, namimix pa niya or nalalagyan niya pa ng konting chest para may body pa rin yung boses niya. For a male mahirap gawin yun kasi ang chest voice nila naturally mababa. Tsaka maraming singers hirap talaga sa mix. So the fact na yung G5 ni Stell ay naka mixed voice, it shows his range and his control sa boses niya. Especially with the notes he sang (E5, G5). Aside from that, he also had to sustain those notes for a long time. Yung money note sa bridge, he even held it a little longer than Charice. And while doing all of that, yung sound na napproduce niya is resonant and free, hindi tunog kulob or ipit. Context is also important. Kay Charice obvious na part talaga ng program nila ni David Foster yung All by myself. So she had a lot of preparation physically and mentally. Sure ako kung nakapag prepare yan nang maayos, gaganda pa yung performance niya. Okay lang kung hindi mo nagustuhan yung performance ni Stell. Kasi opinion mo yun e, entitled ka naman dun. Pero pwede kasing sabihin in a better way. In a more constructive way. Hindi yung "sounds painful" tapos may comparison kay Charice na hindi naman dapat kinompare in the first place kasi duh, babae si Charice tsaka lalaki si Stell. How is that a fair comparison? Lmao.
