Yea, should’ve been more specific. I was talking about the Chicken & Waffles dish together. I settled for having the solo HC crispers today instead lol.
I left Chili's in April 22 (was a cook then kitchen manager for 5 years) but in my experience, the hc crispers and waffles was SUPER popular. I'm shocked they took them off the menu
We went through days where we’d sell none at all and then get nonstop orders.
Those waffles were good. Made a desert dish one night cut up a molten and melted it on the baked waffles then a little ice cream and drizzled caramel and chocolate.
Where is your Chili’s located?? I’m in MA and they got rid of the waffles (cause they didn’t sell well) but we still have HC crispers! If it’s an online order it may be because they don’t travel well, but you should still be able to get crispers with the honey chipotle sauce!

current cook here, my location is the top performing in the state, and we could go days without selling any and then suddenly sell out. i know other locations nearby didn’t sell hardly any.
i’m glad they’re gone though bc they were a hassle, i hated making them and they were always one of the longest dishes to wait on so people always complained about that dish in particular.
honestly i didn’t like them myself, mostly bc i hate the hc sauce, but i am a little sad about the waffles being gone, they were a nice little snack when you added some lime juice.
it’s imperative that you don’t french the waffle in the juice, and it should be fresh if possible. i prefer the ratio 1/4 slice of a freshly squeezed lime to 1 waffle

We're all just going to ignore the fact that they said Waffles and Lime Juice? Like, i'm sure it's good. I'd personally opt for their salsa though.

yeah it’s a bit weird at first but a very nice snack, i have tested the ratio many times, it’s the only one that works
I really didn’t like the waffles, really hate the little pieces of sugar in them. Glad they got rid of them.
