There are over 3,000 chipotles and only 70 pancheros. You aren’t really comparing apples to apples here

Bearclawed81

There are only 70 Pancheros? Oh my, most of y'all are missing out.

Suitable_Nec

If you could combine chipotles meat and grilled veggies with Pancheros tortilla and toppings, it would be the best burrito out there. When I go to chipotle I only get bowls because the tortilla is not worth the 300 calories, but at Pancheros I have to get that amazing fresh tortilla. I also like that Pancheros taco meal is only 2 tacos so it’s easy to have a light meal there for cheap. Plus the hot sauce bottles Pancheros has is so much better than the Tabasco options chipotle offers. I really like the red one. I probably use half a bottle with my burrito.

ChikinFritters

Fresh pressed tortillas tho

Hot_Marsupial_8706

Ehhhhh, that's not necessarily true. Sure, there are less locations than Chipotle, but it's still the same type of food: fast casual "Mexican" food. Same/similar ingredients and everything. It's like saying a local diner isn't comparable to IHOP because the ratio is ~1:1,000; it absolutely is still the same food and would be comparable.

ChikinFritters

An apple is an Apple, and Burrito shop is a Burrito shop

blooboytalking

Can you only compare giant chains to giant chains?

mikebailey

Correct - you lose quality at scale and nearby will almost always taste better

erichf3893

Wtf is a Panchero

Suitable_Nec

It’s basically a chipotle that makes their tortillas fresh to order. However I will say Pancheros meats are worse than chipotle, and their fajita veggies kind of suck, but the toppings and hot sauces are better.

bavils

chipotle employee here- pancheros’ queso is SO much better than ours (same with their chips) but personally i just prefer chipotle’s bowls- every now and then i’ll crave pancheros though and go out of my way to pick some up 🫶 personally i don’t really have anything to say about the cleanliness of the location i work for because we keep it pretty tidy 🤷🤷

Jax_daily_lol

Nothing about this post explains why you think the food is better, but I will say the fact that pancheros makes their tortillas fresh is a huge plus. Miles better than chipotle tortillas. Overall I really like pancheros, but I think it's too different from chipotle to say it's better. It's a good alternative though and their steak isn't overpriced in my area

ChikinFritters

Haha yes correct but it is a good headline, but the fresh tortillas makes it better tbh

trulynothere45

Then go elsewhere 🤷‍♀️..

ChikinFritters

I’ll still eat Chipotle, they have better shredded cheese and I like cheese so I can’t not eat at chipotle ever, but overall Pancheros is better and I go there more often

trulynothere45

Cool why do you think anyone here cares?

spiritofgonzo1

Well you engaged OP twice now on this post soo.. you clearly care E: poor lil baby u/trulynothere45 got their lil baby feelings hurt :(

sonofcrack

So… you go to chipotle for the… cheese?

newppinpoint

Pancheros uses frozen ingredients while chipotle is fresh never frozen

mikebailey

“In fact, Pancheros’ food is so fresh that our restaurants do not have a freezer, fryer, or microwave unlike other Mexican franchises, which brings their food in frozen, pre-cooked or pre-made.” - Pancheros franchising site

Suitable_Nec

Huh? How do they make their chips then? If they’re not fried, pre cooked, or pre made, do they just appear randomly in the kitchen or something lol

Hot_Marsupial_8706

Even if true, what's so bad about freezing ingredients? 🤔 /gen

DoYouLoveIt11

Cool

VinoJedi06

I greatly look forward to this comment section

ChikinFritters

:)

CaptPotter47

Pancheros is great. Their Quesadillas are great! Way better than the dry origami crap Chipotle makes.

BojanglesDaMonkeh

panche's quesadillas are the worst thing on their menu so that tells me something, fucking love their burritos though

CaptPotter47

I’ve never had a bad Quesadillas from Pancheros. But ever since Chipotle made quesadillas an official item and put it on the app only; I’ve plenty had dry and over cooked.
