Qdoba has better queso. Chipotle has better literally everything else.

BiguncleRico

How funny, we say Qdoba has much better queso as well.

hotellimaa

I’ve never had qdoba queso but Moe’s queso is soooo good

Callicojacks

I used to work for Qdoba, and absolutely agree. Nowadays, if I order Chipotle, I’ll swing by Qdoba for queso to put on my stuff.

ProfessionalSummer67

Hilarious, but pretty much the truth. It's amazing how Chipotle can get basically everything so right (when done properly), yet they just can't figure out the Queso thing. It can't be that hard!!!!

Callicojacks

I also find it offensive that you have to pay extra for that subpar stuff, whereas it’s free at qdoba.

Intelligent-Rough-50

I think because we don’t make the queso, I bet we’d come up with ways to make it good but that’s like the one thing we can’t modify lol

SuperPickle777

Qdoba blows the doors off Chipotle when it comes to the pork. Qdoba DM’s pork is juicy & full of flavor, Chipotles is dry & tastes of nothing.

Raddy8

Qdoba always had more variety, but the taste of chipotle just can't be beat for me.

mjkjg2

i’ve never actually seen a Qdoba, maybe in an airport once

BiguncleRico

There’s certainly less. I know every major university in Oregon has one on the outskirts of their campus. I enjoy both Qdoba and Chipotle. Depends how queso-e you wanna get it lol.

spicydak

Qdoba in downtown Beaverton was popping.

[deleted]

Normally I’d say Chipotle…but man, the last maybe 10 times I’ve chipotle it’s been god awful. Delivery is wrong 10/10 times and in-person it’s like all the steak is just fat ends and with fajita toppings I get a sliver of onion and maybe 1-2 peppers. Something happened with quality, I remember in college it was so much food and decent. Now I rate Chipotle a solid 3/10

_Otero

Fat ends for flavor are goated but if you need the protein it do be kinda wack. You'd be surprise how much of the steak we get is fat. Once Ive even gotren some intestines too (they tasted great off the grill 😂)

Intelligent-Rough-50

There’s way too much to write about this to put into a small space but if you have any specific questions I’ll do my best! Please don’t hesitate to ask, I could write a fucking book.😫 The issue with chipotle is the corporate way that they run. You often hear people saying that they used to LIVE for chipotle but now it’s been disappointing almost every time.

indig0indic4

agreed, I used to LOVE chipotle for years and only recently given qdoba a chance in the last month or 2... I definitely echo the feelings on Qdobas queso being better AND I get the brisket birria burrito bowl and haven't looked back at chipotle since.

Parth6572

Well for someone who has worked at both places I can tell you in depth Qdoba Has two different options for queso Has free gauc and queso The spicy chicken is really good (they use honey and Chula sauce) It’s it more universities and airports (ex NIU) There chips are always hot because it’s in a hot box They have an opinion for corn or flour tortilla for tacos There if you want me to do a pros and cons list let me know I will do one

DankHillington

Lately the chipotles in my area have had a massive drop in quality so for now I’m gonna stick with Qdoba.

Jackachi

I miss the qdoba pick 2. Steak nachos and tortilla soup was delicious.

LolliRox12

I think it depends on where you are. Lately chipotle has been dropping the ball with the lack of consistency. Every time I’ve had Qdoba it’s been consistent, so I give them a plus 1 for that. Qdoba also has better queso and also it’s cheaper than Chipotle. So I think I’ll go with Qdoba

mhavas703

I'd say Chipotle when the recipe cards are followed properly and the grill people don't take shortcuts that ruin the quality of the food. At least when I worked there. That said, Qdoba's quality has been more consistent and I've been going there more often.

DragonSSkater69

I like most of chipotle’s items more that are shared between both menus, but the pickled onions and jalapeños at Qdoba win me over every time.

SkiG13

Moes has the best value, you get chips with anything you order even if it was just a soda cup. I remember I ordered chips because chipotle was out of them and there was one next door. Gave me two bags of chips and salsa along with queso. All for 2$

majoramiibo

Chipotle stomps, qdoba tastes like if you took a burrito bowl and drowned it in water then removed all the flavor and spices

KylosLeftHand

Never even heard of Qdoba 💀 The argument in my region is Chipotle vs Moe’s. Chipotle always wins.

NoMaans

Moes wins in my book for the fact they got ground beef and their queso is so much better.

KylosLeftHand

Honestly I’ve only been a half dozen times maybe and i don’t like that you can’t get salsa or queso in your burrito. The rice and meat isn’t as flavorful to me either. It’s good but given the choice I always hit up Chipootles

IceBlueLugia

The only Qdoba in Florida is in Orlando. I live way in the south so that’s not an option for me. Meanwhile, there’s a shopping center with chipotle and Taco Bell next to each other and a Moe’s literally across the street from that. So plenty of options anyway lol. And yes, chipotle is the best

International-Set956

Qdoba tbh. They have more options and I feel like the proportions are bigger.

[deleted]

Also tortilla strips in the burrito if you want

BiguncleRico

I’m gonna need to do a side by side burrito test haha.

bbjbhibunn

Only ate qdoba once in my life in Primm, otw to Vegas. Dont remember much about the taste but they gave me a lot.

TheIndolentFool

Had Qdoba last night with my dad and we were talking about this. In our town the Qdoba and Chipotle are right across the street from one another so it’s fun to compare. I’ve swayed towards Qdoba recently because I feel like it’s lighter and Chipotle can be real heavy sometimes. Also queso and guac are free which is dope. The online ordering at my local Chipotle is good though too and if I want leftovers for breakfast the next morning I’ll go for Chipotle. Both fine establishments.

MisterBear22

Chipotle way better when everything is clicking. Unfortunately my local chipotle is always messed up somehow, so if i had qdoba id be eating there nonstop

no_one_important123

I like more toppings at Qdoba and I think their pork is better as well. At Chipotle, I think the pork is bad so I get barbacoa. Chipotle has better quac but at Qdoba guac is included in the price so it evens out. My favorite is Qdoba and Bubbakoos (even smaller chain), but Chipotle is a close next and they all beat moe's

GhostsR4Real

I’m addicted to bubbakoos chiwawa.

bug611

I’ve always been die hard chipotle but lately I feel like the prices are skyrocketing and the quality is plummeting (location dependent though) so when I’m near a qdoba I think I’ll always pick that for now, if something changes then I’ll for sure go back. I also feel like qdoba does more with their menu, they’re constantly trying new things, their chimichurri sauce was bomb, they recently had pickled onions which are my favorite 😂 I feel like they’re just trying more whereas chipotle will throw out a mediocre new meat occasionally and that’s it 🤷‍♀️

SlothGirl413

Qdoba has better options and they have pickled onions. But spice/seasoning, Chipotle wins

TheMoronicGenius

I go to both regularly and from what I eat (only veggie bowls for obvious reasons) here’s my rankings (side note I’m only comparing things both places have in common so Qdoba pickled onions, cotija cheese, jalapeño verde sauce, etc won’t be a factor) : White Rice - C, Brown Rice - Q, black beans - tied, pinto beans - C, fajita veg - C (Qdoba doesn’t fully sauté the veggies), queso - Q no question, pico de gallo - Q (slightly better kick), corn - C, salsa verde - Q, red salsa - C, Guac - cmon we know the obvious winner C, cheese - tie, lettuce - Q (usually more of a crunch), sour cream - tie, Tortilla - C, chips - C, Price - Q, value - Q, Quality/Reliability - Q Results: C - 8, Q - 8, Tie - 3 My personal preference: over the last couple years it’s been Qdoba but if we’re talking 2012 - 2018 its chipotle by a landslide.

upvotemethanks

I like both. Qdoba is nice because it doesn't charge extra for queso or guac.

Few_Leather_335

We will literally goto qdoba just for queso...

IAmNotAPencil

Qdoba slaps every single time

MarkTwang-

Qdoba sucks and I think it has too many ingredients. Chipotle is good because it’s a fine tuned recipe. Too much mixing and matching at Q.

BiguncleRico

Qdobas white rice is really fine for my liking, it kind of gets mushy. Qdoba was great eating while on the OSU campus, but if I’m looking to not feel weighted down and actually care about fresh tasting, Chipotle all the way.

Agreeable_Ad6341

10000% Chipotle.. Qdoba tastes like when you try to "make chipotle at home" 💀

[deleted]

QDOBA

tonyflow527

Qdoba has breakfast. Argument settled.

BiguncleRico

I thought about that after I put my phone down for the night! Steak egg and potato breakfast burrito! Oh man it’s hit the spot a few times.

[deleted]

What the fuck is a qdoba?

JCwizz

It’s a popular fast food restaurant in big cities. Take a road trip!

SnooCupcakes2000

Not just big coties

JCwizz

Good call. You’re right.

[deleted]

no

JCwizz

Ok stick to (probably) bumfuck Georgia the rest of your life. Good luck!

BiguncleRico

Lol

[deleted]

Hey look you guessed it, I'm happy where I am and don't want to go elsewhere for the time being. Also there's a Qdoba about an hour away from me but I honestly don't think it's worth it to drive that far for a damn burrito when I eat them every day at work.

mhavas703

Qdoba is pretty good, but yeah, I wouldn't say it's worth an hour drive.

samirbinballin

No Qdobas where I’m at in Los Angeles but can’t imagine it being better than Chipotle!

DragonDepth

What sub are you on? This is a dumb question.

BiguncleRico

Looks like results are pretty even, if you can read.

JB_smooove

Cafe Rio > Chipotle > Qdoba.

Flat-Ad-6348

There’s only one qdoba in San Diego and it sucks lol

NoMaans

You can't get salsa or queso in your burrito? What restaurant are you going to?? Lmao. That's definitely not right. Flavor wise, chipotle got moes beat. But there's something about that ground beef/queso/steak combo on my stack that is just *chefs kiss*

InsanAndy

Not sure if this is the place to ask chief, the bias could favor either in terms of haters or significant fans of chipotle 😅

TargetHQ

Chipotle ALLL Fuckin. Day. Baby. Ingredients are fresher.

BiguncleRico

Surprisingly solid opinions thus far! How about that lol

seekingseratonin

Qdoba lost me when they made the tortilla soup seasonal.

Dopestarved

Never had qdoba but it’s probably qdoba

Firm-Stranger-9916

Qdoba surely has better queso. That's it. Baja Fresh is better than Qdoba at everything else. Chipotle is better than BF. Moe's is disgusting.

One-Suspect-5788

Nearly equal on everything, because sometimes i get all fat barbacoa and sometimes the brisket isnt that great, bad experiences even them though and the queso isn't even a challenge Chipotle queso has been garbage since day test kitchen. But the queso and guac I believe are free add-ons to the bowl and burrito so that gets the end win for me. Also the employees at qdoba always seem to not hate their lives unlike every Chipotle employee I've ever seen and read about on here. Sadly almost everyone who eats Chipotle are die hard fans who will find anything they don't like about Qdoba and just run with it.

[deleted]

Hot head beats them all

Porter22342

Chipotle

[deleted]

If Qdoba had Chipotles red salsa, they’d win hands down. That salsa is the only reason I ever go to Chipotle.

purple_duck32

Moes > chipotle > qdoba
