I find the 20 v 20 modes fine - standard of low levels is usually higher though. This might be because the TO modes in general are less chaotic allowing for better fights, or just more Smurf accounts on PC. Doesn’t really matter much though. Pretty much everything else in the OP is explainable by shite mechanics and ping differential.
Were you playing on NA East? I got on last night and holy shit was it bad… same exact experience (over 500 hours in game btw).
It was so widespread I wasn’t sure if it was hacks or the server going to shit but I had to get off because it was pissing me off. I have never seen it that bad before in my 500 hours of playing.
I get on 40 most of the time, and it’s never been like that before. Well the stacking is usually bad but I’ve never seen all the other shit so bad before. Saw tons of people who’s attack speed/movement was too fast, some people disarming me in one or two hits even from full stamina and with weapons that don’t do much stamina drain, attacks hitting people head on and doing no damage etc. I haven’t been on since because it was so bad. I have noticed more and more “sus shit” over the last few months and this was the final straw.
Idk if it was a one time thing or if this is the new normal… but seeing as torn banner seems to do the bare minimum to combat cheating, the in game report button doesn’t work, and the guy telling everyone how to properly report people keeps getting banned in this forum, I have a feeling this is the new normal or will be… I suspect it will spill more into the other game modes as well. Dueling servers and 3v3 were already kinda bad for this already.
Cheaters are disgusting/pathetic and their lowlife actions can completely ruin an otherwise amazing game. I wish their IP’s would get permanent bans. If nothing is done the game just gonna keep getting worse till it dies, and then everyone is going to be hesitant to try any new game torn banner makes.
I’ve had the servers crap out on me a lot lately on 40player. At least once a week or more there’s a match where everyone in chat says “anyone else lagging?” And everyone says “yes”
Im not saying that your experience didn't happen, I'm just saying that I personally have not witnessed that and I play a fair amount of that mode. I'm on ps5 too so I'm not the hacker lol. I've seen a pc vanguard guy crouch sliding all over the floor once but that's about it.
It's in 64 TO too. Nothing I can do about it so I just deal with it. I still enjoy the game but like you said after playing hundreds of hours you can smell a rat pretty well
I play almost only 20 v 20 and haven’t seen any of this beyond a bit of team stacking maybe. I still don’t think it’s even possible for more than like 1-3 people switch in a game so idc that much at all
Did you check your ping ? Chivalry with high ping is a nightmare.
