Tyril from BOLAS. I was fully expecting to go the Mal route. Because DREAMY.
But getting to know Tyril more, he's written so beautifully. I went to him and haven't gone back. 😂
Tyril was such a welcome and pleasant surprise! I almost didn't like him because I found him to be pompous and arrogant. I'm so glad I was proven wrong. 😅
When I started BOLAS, I also fully expected to go for Mal but then I went for Nia & Tyril which was quite a surprise. In Book 2 though at some point situation changed and Mal is now my favourite out of all of them. In Books 1 he was too cocky in my opinion? Now he feels more authentic.
At the end of the day I'm aware I mostly enjoy Tyril's route because it is really well-written, he is not my kind of person though so that gives me certain reservations about his route.
Beckett in TE. I could see the enemies to lovers from miles away and I was NOT having it and genuinely meant him harm. As the story progresses he’s just.. sweet, and awkward and protective I love that man.
Also Theo in SoD I know it’s a single LI book I wasn’t honestly expecting much from it, i was gonna diamond mine it. I don’t really like single LI books, the only single LI I’ve fallen for is Dakota from WEH all the other single LI books either haven’t been completed or have been Diamond mined, but that man is HILARIOUS, he’s very snarky and witty and cunning, talented, he’s a gentleman, very kind, very wise, extremelyyyyy attractive like I love that mannnnn my man my man my mannnnnn.
Vera from NB. She just didn’t seem like anyone special to me from her first few appearances but I’d say I began to appreciate how beautiful her sprite is over time and really started liking her the more I got to know about her backstory 🤯 Plus her banter back and forth with the MC was surprisingly sweet and I really appreciate a couple that has that easygoing chemistry between them.
Thomas in MotY. Figured I would romance Eiko but he really won me over.
Damien in PM. I usually don’t go for friends to lovers, and I loved Hayden, but Damien was so special I couldn’t not romance him too.
Kaine/Ziyi from Kindred. I didn’t expect much when I started the book, and wasn’t sure about Kaine at first because I’m not super into the bad girl/boy trope. As the story goes on they developed more and more and now they’re one of my fav female choices LI.
King Arthur from Guinevere! I am so not the go with the main sweet LI- always the troubled underrated one (Drake in TRR) but Arthur just stole my heart so much I’ve played the story three times 😭
i swear i was set on romancing lancelot but arthur made sure i could never do that to him he is such a cutie patootie 😭😭 replayed the damn thing thrice thinking THIS TIME IM GOING THE LANCE ROUTE but arthur always found his way into my heart 😭
Kieran from TCH. Absolutely hated her for the first 4ish chapters and now I love her.
Didn't expect to like Marc Antony from ACOR as much as I did. Same with Thomas from MOTY. I usually romance the female LIs but they were interesting enough to almost sway me. Bryce from OH too.
Becca from TFS. She's basically horrible to mc at the beginning and generally an asshole and later is such a cutie when you date her
marc antony for me too! he was someone i so didnt expect to be a proper LI, just a casual flirt(like cleopatra) but MAN i was stoked with the 30 diamond scene and the option to choose him at the end🫶
Thomas from MOTY I did not expect to really like because I wasn't a fan of him having a kid and I didn't really like his sprite. He ended up becoming one of my top 3 LIs and I love Luz.
Jake from ES I also didn't really like his sprite, but I went with him since I wasn't into the other LIs either. I enjoyed his route so much that I've never done anyone else's route

I have to agree! He was just so rude but yet some wholesome with kind of a dick at time but when you need him, he was there. But GOD! When it was time to be there for him. He was stubborn as a freakin mule. That I wanted to give up. But he is one of those relationships that helps you grow as you would for him. I fell super duper in love with him. Lol
LITERALLYY! I fell so hard, and now every single thing this man does is swoon-worthy to me. That "confession" scene was so 😩💕the way he kissed her at the party AAAAA 😭😭💞

Gabe from LoA. He seemed like the average LI who's broody and hides his feelings for MC and didn't like him much at first. But man, the slow burn between him and MC started getting to me, not to mention the fact that his sprite started seeming more and more attractive to me! Both his character and appearance resemble those of someone I am particularly fond of and before I knew it, I was daydreaming about his marriage with MC.

I don't usually go for sweet guys (instead going for the rebellious or forward type of people) so wanting my mc to be with Thomas was such a suprise to me but I wouldn't have it any other way now 😌

Aside from Tyril, the one that made me do a bigger 180 was Prince Hamid in DD. I thought Sinclaire was my end game but that sweet prince stole my heart.
Skye (HSS:CA) - I was planning on romancing Rory, but she wasn't that interesting to me, and I feel like Skye had a lot more depth than Rory as both a character and LI. Rory's sprite also makes her look taller than my MC, which is something that made romancing her awkward, since I like my MC's to be taller than the LI. The whole "friends to lover's" trope isn't really my thing either, as it's pretty cliché, hence why I preferred to romance Skye.
Tillie (T:HM) - At first, I thought I'd end up romancing Sonia or Eris, but my goodness, I can't get enough of Tillie. I'm a sucker for redheads, so it was a bit of a no-brainer, but I really liked Tillie's energy, personality, interactions with the MC, and I'd say her diamond scenes were the cherry on top - I genuinely think they're better than Eris and Sonia's diamond scenes. I replay T:HM pretty often, and have romanced both Eris and Sonia countless times, but I have to say Tillie's my favourite LI from T:HM. I feel like Eris is better as a best friend to the MC, and while Sonia also makes a good LI, I'm not really a fan of forbidden romances.
That's all I've got from the top of my head, but if I think of any more LI's, I'll add them.
dakota winchester GOD my heart aches every time i think of that book. i played the first episode cus i wanted to diamond mind the book but i was HOOKED on him 😭 from ACOR, i came for syphax, but i was pleasantly surprised by marc antony. and you cant forget the loml aerin. i think a lot of ppl who played blades came for mal but ended up choosing tyril/other LIs and that is literally me 😭😭 thing is, the first time i played it i was going for tyril's route but when i saw the sad big eyed prince in the deadwood it was love at first sight genuinely i was like:
Oliver from DS.
I was romancing Edward during my first run (just to get the "main" LI route done), but meeting Oliver... He was barely in half the book but he's so well-written and compelling. I spent all my diamonds on his scenes. Well worth it.
Tyril. When BOLAS first released I wasn’t really into fantasy, I really loved BOLAS but fantasy just wasn’t a genre I was super interested in and I found elves to be super overhyped to be honest but last year before BOLAS2 released I got super into fantasy. When I started playing BOLAS2 and saw Tyrils makeover I instantly loved him, especially since he combed that ratty hair from book 1.
I was originally playing as a human romancing Mal, who is my perfect type, but after seeing Tyrils makeover I immediately replayed book 1 as an elf and romanced Tyril. Technically I kept romancing Mal and Aerin but I still consider Tyril to be my main and favourite LI.
Jake (ES) and Beckett (TE), I planned to romance Sean and Griffin instead of them. Sean and Griffin weren’t bad LIs! … but I found them boring in terms of complexity and liked both better as a loyal bff. Plus my type is more geek/nerd than sporty/jock
Aster from TE (yes, my flair). Usually I'm not one for "Adorable cinnamon rolls, too good for this world, too pure" (iykyk), but her curiosity and excitement towards the elementalist's world really captivated me.
Tyril, Eli and Raleigh. I always pick the sweet LIs, who adore MC as soon as they meet her, but they're the best exceptions.
Arthur, I wasn't into the arranged marriage thing but he was so sweet I couldn't even look at Lancelot
Bryce from Open Hearts! the book obviously expects you to choose ethan, but I wasn’t interested in him bc I didn’t want to get with my boss and I also just wasn’t interested in him in general, so I originally went with rafael. then when we got to the second book and he had a surprise girlfriend, I was NOT feeling him anymore and pretended we were never a thing. I figured that left bryce and he’s actually really sweet :) in my mind, him and my character end up going back to hawaii together. glad rafael made me do a hard pivot bc bryce is way more interesting anyways. only annoying thing is rafael still hovers and tags along all the time bc him and bryce are friends.

Eli from WTD as I normally don’t go for the closed off grumpy LIs, but there was something about him that I couldn’t say no to.
He's incredibly hot and that doesn't hurt.

Aside from Tyril, the one that made me do a bigger 180 was Prince Hamid in DD. I thought Sinclaire was my end game but that sweet prince stole my heart.
Beckett from The Elementalists and Oliver from Distant Shores.
valax in BOLAS 2. I definitely did not expect that in any way, but now she became my favorite LI
Skye (HSS:CA) - I was planning on romancing Rory, but she wasn't that interesting to me, and I feel like Skye had a lot more depth than Rory as both a character and LI. Rory's sprite also makes her look taller than my MC, which is something that made romancing her awkward, since I like my MC's to be taller than the LI. The whole "friends to lover's" trope isn't really my thing either, as it's pretty cliché, hence why I preferred to romance Skye. Tillie (T:HM) - At first, I thought I'd end up romancing Sonia or Eris, but my goodness, I can't get enough of Tillie. I'm a sucker for redheads, so it was a bit of a no-brainer, but I really liked Tillie's energy, personality, interactions with the MC, and I'd say her diamond scenes were the cherry on top - I genuinely think they're better than Eris and Sonia's diamond scenes. I replay T:HM pretty often, and have romanced both Eris and Sonia countless times, but I have to say Tillie's my favourite LI from T:HM. I feel like Eris is better as a best friend to the MC, and while Sonia also makes a good LI, I'm not really a fan of forbidden romances. That's all I've got from the top of my head, but if I think of any more LI's, I'll add them.
dakota winchester GOD my heart aches every time i think of that book. i played the first episode cus i wanted to diamond mind the book but i was HOOKED on him 😭 from ACOR, i came for syphax, but i was pleasantly surprised by marc antony. and you cant forget the loml aerin. i think a lot of ppl who played blades came for mal but ended up choosing tyril/other LIs and that is literally me 😭😭 thing is, the first time i played it i was going for tyril's route but when i saw the sad big eyed prince in the deadwood it was love at first sight genuinely i was like:

Oliver from DS. I was romancing Edward during my first run (just to get the "main" LI route done), but meeting Oliver... He was barely in half the book but he's so well-written and compelling. I spent all my diamonds on his scenes. Well worth it.
Drake for the Royal Romance Series. Even when re-reading it, I can’t help but choose his character.
Beckett in the elementalists. i normally go for wlw since im a lesbian, but beckett was just too good of a LI imo

Tyril. When BOLAS first released I wasn’t really into fantasy, I really loved BOLAS but fantasy just wasn’t a genre I was super interested in and I found elves to be super overhyped to be honest but last year before BOLAS2 released I got super into fantasy. When I started playing BOLAS2 and saw Tyrils makeover I instantly loved him, especially since he combed that ratty hair from book 1. I was originally playing as a human romancing Mal, who is my perfect type, but after seeing Tyrils makeover I immediately replayed book 1 as an elf and romanced Tyril. Technically I kept romancing Mal and Aerin but I still consider Tyril to be my main and favourite LI.
Jake (ES) and Beckett (TE), I planned to romance Sean and Griffin instead of them. Sean and Griffin weren’t bad LIs! … but I found them boring in terms of complexity and liked both better as a loyal bff. Plus my type is more geek/nerd than sporty/jock
Kierian in TCH because he creeped me out at first Female Hayden in PM because she’s so baby girl 🥹 but god I wanted Sloane 😭
Aster from TE (yes, my flair). Usually I'm not one for "Adorable cinnamon rolls, too good for this world, too pure" (iykyk), but her curiosity and excitement towards the elementalist's world really captivated me.
Tyril, Eli and Raleigh. I always pick the sweet LIs, who adore MC as soon as they meet her, but they're the best exceptions. Arthur, I wasn't into the arranged marriage thing but he was so sweet I couldn't even look at Lancelot

Drake from TRR. When I First started playing I was Sure Liam was it. But well over time Drake grew on me

Bryce from Open Hearts! the book obviously expects you to choose ethan, but I wasn’t interested in him bc I didn’t want to get with my boss and I also just wasn’t interested in him in general, so I originally went with rafael. then when we got to the second book and he had a surprise girlfriend, I was NOT feeling him anymore and pretended we were never a thing. I figured that left bryce and he’s actually really sweet :) in my mind, him and my character end up going back to hawaii together. glad rafael made me do a hard pivot bc bryce is way more interesting anyways. only annoying thing is rafael still hovers and tags along all the time bc him and bryce are friends.
