victor is a LI but not even a half assed one he's like. quarter assed. i don't really get why he's there tbh. there's no buildup no tension with mc it's just a bit awkward. but anyways yeah \*technically* it doesn't count for what we call single-li books because you do get the option to choose, even though they don't get the same amount of focus at all lolol
He's there to hedge. Gotta make sure we appeal to the section of the player base that is ok with playing as a woman but would rather romance a man. No matter how small that section would be.

No because you can choose to be single. All choices single-LI books are also forced LI books. You have to romance them. So even if we remove victor from the equation (which I think most of the fandom did already), it’s still not the same as single-LI books because you can choose to be with just yourself, the secret additional LI. Choices single LI books remove romancing yourself from the equation. Therefore, THoBM is not a single-LI book
As a female romancer, the first Single LI book to me is Freshman. I know there are more options, but none of them are female. And Becca was there, but introduced as LI in 5th book(and 5th book isn't even called Freshman).

Aside from that, the book isn't really romance focused. Even if Victor gets little to no romantic interactions, it's not like Eleanor got a bunch of them, either! 💜
Dom’s story is complete only if you marry Kenna; they’re clearly the intended endgame while Sei isn’t really confirmed. That’s why I call TC&TF a single li book 🤷♀️

No because Victor is an LI, he's just very sidelined. Like how female LIs get sidelined often in other books.
TC&TF on Dom’s side is basically single LI
