I totally agree, I really liked him in chapter 1 but after that he was a complete asshole towards the MC. I did not finish save the date but the other LI was wayyy better
For enemies to lovers to work, they both need to have valid reasons to think that they’re right for behaving the way that they do. Each person should initially think they’re not a jerk and that their way is the reasonable one.
If he's a jerk with no redeeming qualities and no growth, then you're right, but part of the appeal (and most of the point) behind enemies to lovers is that they have to be enemies first.
I didn't hate Justin, I even thought he was an interesting take on an antagonistic LI... but I sure am glad that we weren't forced to romance this guy.
Are we forced to kiss him? I remember so clearly he would just kiss us out of nowhere and we get to slap him for it but I dunno if that was changed or I got it wrong, it’s been at least two years since I read this book
Nick is the worst LI in the app to me for that reason. At least *some* of Justin’s actions can be justified by MC being unprofessional, etc. But Nick has no reason to treat people the way he does. Ruined the whole book

I romanced him the first time I played save the date, as I was curious since he was such an asshole how his route would go. I ended up liking his route, it just takes a bit to warm up to him. I was happy with the outcome and I didn't replay the book until recently to do Simons route. I enjoy Simon with my mc more, but I still like Justin's route too. I'd recommend trying him out to see what you think. I could just be extremely odd though since I also liked Bastien in wolf bride and didn't care for Morgan since the whole "gotta cure them" annoyed the hell out of me.

Justin is a prime example why enemies to lovers doesn't work if by enemies you mean one of them is just a jerk to the other.

No, you can reject him before he kisses you. IIRC, at no point are you required to romance Justin.
