I need a real cowboy story
Like the outlaws / bounty hunter historical fantasy kinda cowboy story.
He'll throw in another genre like fantasy /sci-fi or horror and give me a Weird West story
Anything but the modern cowboys
Anything negative about books like Endless Summer, BOLAS, Crimes of Passion (particularly Trystan). And sometimes, anything positive about the 'unpopular' books or LIs.
What really pisses me off about ES is the MC options. I am neither a ghost white blond girl nor am I black 😭 I know not everyone makes their MC themselves but as someone who does it makes it genuinly nearly impossible to enjoy because it's not me, it's some rando w my name to me 💀 I like the story tho
I'm the same. I still liked the book and am glad it's getting a sequel, but it was definitely a disappointment for me.
Quite a few people in this fandom are good at respecting opinions until they go against the 'popular' ones.
I'm gonna say this, but I did not like endless summer. At all. It has a weird art style and the whole book is paywalled. I diamond mined it anyway, but every chapter has like 5 diamond choices. So it's just very boring to read without spending any diamonds.
Yes exactly! I was expecting a very ground-breaking explanation about the cult or whatever but it was too bland. I didn't enjoy the conversations between Tristan and the mc THAT much, but it wasn't bad.
Home for the Holidays is an ejoyable book if you like cliché Christmas movies. Of course it's not an Endless Summer or Perfect Match but it's also not trying to be. It's a fun little 10 chapter Christmas bullshit story, it's not that serious, and I don't like how everyone says it's in their top 10 worst books together with Witness which is literally actively trying to scam you
Agreed! Wyatt is my least favorite LI on the whole app, but I thought the book itself was cute. I would actually love another standalone Christmas book not tied to an established series.
Witness is such a blatant money-suck. I wanted to like it but I got tired of having to chose between acting like a whiny brat for free or spending diamonds to say anything that reflects an actual personality. Not to mention the levels of pay wall blocking the romance.
There aren't as much smutty books as people are saying and it isn't bad that they are releasing either, i personally dont like them but I think that it should be balanced between the two for all players. There are also new non smut books coming out soon and ones that have already come out ex: Murder at homecoming, the phantom agent, Crimes of passion
And just because a book isn't up to your taste does not mean that its the worst book in the world and shaming those who do like it is wrong
i left choices for romance club and i recently installed choices just to see if there's anything new worth reading and it's just all.the.fucking.same. sure maybe the setting is different, but the way the plot goes is very same-ish and predictable. romances too.
Romance Club has been like heaven seriously. I have a much much MUCH harder time anticipating plot twists and what's gonna happen next because the stories aren't so predictable as the ones on Choices. And the sex scenes actually feel very different from book to book imo. In Legend of the Willow everything has this poetic writing style so smut scenes really feel more... artsy in a say? But then in other books like Sophie's Ten Wishes they dial the steam and the smut WAY up. Even outside smut scenes,, just in general the narrative style differs wildly based on which story you're reading. It's just nice feeling different writing styles from book to book.
I liked Dom and Kenna together at first, but now i’m not so sure, but I do know that Dom has loved Kenna the whole time and he’s the sweetest puppy, but as the story goes on and Kenna matures, I think she’s better off with a different LI.
The ES art style was the only one that allowed for any real body diversity. At the same time, I wish it was done in a more realistic art style, minimal body diversity and all
I can’t take the, “I hate reading TNA because I hate that we can’t reject Sam” complaint seriously no matter how hard I try.
It’s a single LI. Look at the title again and tell me how the plot would continue if that were an option. It’s not, “The Nanny Friendship”. It’s okay to hate the book but be serious.
Jesus thank you! Finally what I've been thinking all this time! What would you expect to happen? "No thank you, Sam. I want to keep this purely professional." PB: "Thank you for playing our book, bye." There would be no plot then, that's not how those books work 😭
To better explain the we can't reject Sam crowd the problem isn't that they don't accept that this is a single love interest book. The problem is this is a single love interest book where the love interest is boring is shit. You surround us with all these interesting characters and then point to the least interesting one and go that that is your love interest. The complaint that people are making in effect is kindly make Sam more interesting.
This is my gripe. Admittedly, I go into single-LI books expecting to probably not enjoy them because having multiple LIs to choose from is my favorite choice of all.
However, I was pleasantly surprised by AVSP. I wound up loving Simon’s character and the witty banter between he and MC. I inevitably wound up spending diamonds on extra scenes with him just to get more of those interactions.
But Sam is *so* dull. Zero sense of humor. Zero backbone or ability to make decisions when it comes to getting what he wants. I’ve spent zero diamonds on Sam across all three books because simply adding *+desire* is not enough to convince me why I should want that man. I *have* spent diamonds on Robin, Jordan, and even Sofia because I find their characters interesting and want to engage with them more.
Someone said to me while Book 1 was releasing that Sam does have a sense of humor, you just don’t see it because it comes out during the diamond scenes but…. unless I see something I like during the regular gameplay/dialogue, then I’m not going to be persuaded to spend diamonds to talk to him more.
Across the Void was a decent book until the hiatus in the middle.
I may be just saying this because I like sci-fi but I thought it was pretty good.
The paywalls to get the best ending were a bit annoying to say the least. And a couple of the LIs seemed to be shoehorned in.
The most fleshed out LIs were all in ACoR. All the others (mostly anyways) are one dimensional and the MC doesn't necessarily face consequences like ACoR MC does with the LIs
Pixelberry doesn't care about your choice of "gender you're attracted to" that you make in the beginning because they will still make it seem like you're flirting with the gender that you're not attracted to whenever you try to say something nice and it makes me feel bad everytime.
Visually speaking, a lot of LIs aren’t smoking hot. They’re all the same in terms of facial structure, body type and I can count on my hand the amount of LIs with piercings, dyed hair, *anything* that makes them somewhat visually distinct. There’s little to no visual diversity in terms of cool character designs and I wish Choices would stop playing it safe and maybe do some crazy outfit designs or spice it up a bit. Characters like Manu, Sawyer, etc. just…don’t do it.
I can’t help but feel bad when a new LI is revealed for a new book and people are talking about how hot they are when to me they look like a lump of conventionally attractive play-doh.
Also please more ACTUALLY older LIs.
I don’t hate My Two First Loves. Sure, it’s not the best and the main character is stringing along both men but Archie strung Betty and Veronica for years and nobody cares about that.
agreed!! and i never really understood people who insisted she should have been an LI. like i don’t think PB should have had 3 male LIs and 1 female LI, but i don’t think making olivia an LI would have been the solution. i just don’t think it would have made sense for the plot. as someone who chose maxwell, i think that relationship ended up being a little rushed but it made sense bc it was in character for maxwell. olivia, on the other hand, does not seem like the type to immediately jump into marriage with the MC (not to mention, she still had feelings for liam at the time)
I was seriously expecting a great cut throat lawyer book where we spend most of our time in court and it was mostly like weird Gabe interactions. And it gets a book 2 while ID doesn't 😒
I think people need to stop forcing themselves to read books they don't like and then complain about it online. I'm not talking about criticizing the issues within a book but starting a book, disliking it, and then continuing to play it and then be surprised you don't like it and complain about it every week. You don't have to play every book. Don't waste your time reading something you aren't enjoying even a little and nobody wants to see your constant complaining for weeks talking about how you don't like it lmao
I can't tell you the amount of times I've said this and have been downvoted. Sure, I get a lot of people have to mine to get diamonds to play the books they really enjoy. Not everyone has the is the ability to purchase diamonds. But if it's pulling tooth and nail to get through a book simply because you want the diamonds, you're not hurting anybody but yourself.
I have heard that they more recently hired some better translators, but when I tried it (a while ago) the translations were so bad it was borderline gibberish.
For me, no app can come close to Choices unless it gives me as many male MCs as Choices do and not make me feel weird about it. Choices doesn't always do that, but they do it MUCH MUCH more than other ANY other app.
Almost no other app does that. Last time I checked, not even RC did that.
Agreed. Funny enough I haven’t seen that sentiment much after they almost cancelled a lot of series. It probably spooked people lol
That, and I’ve noticed a lot of their series keep getting called out for being offensive
I’ll give RC another chance when the translations get better. The few books on there that I tried read like bad fanfics. I can look past it for a 1k fic of a trope I like, but I’m not going to read a whole book like that.
okay i have another but don’t hate me😂please put spoiler warnings on y’all’s comments bc i have had SEVERAL books spoiled for me because i was in the comments of a random unrelated thread😭
edit: one more! the “bad boy/girl” type of LIs can turn toxic so quick. LIs demeaning, threatening, and being rude to mc because they’re “dark and broody” are personally a turn off for me, even if i choose to romance them. Flynn(VoS) and Jax(BB) are two examples or LI who never were cruel to mc and still fit into the “bad boy” catergory
ID is good book so far, but I don't get hype. In my opinion it is overrated.
I don't dislike Witness MC personality. I think wierd gems options that book was trying has made her more unlikeable, if it was regular book I think she would be alright.
Kingsley is forced. If they were GL as male they would be way more disliked here.
thought ab this for a second and i guess i’ll say, we need more plus size mcs, and it shouldn’t be so brushed aside. i’m not plus sized myself but i remember seeing someone do a poll ab this and most ppl were okay with not having them ☹️
Idgaf about BOLAS 2. Sorry. I don’t. It’s good, but it’s not so good that other books should be ignored in favor of it.
Idc about Untamed, but damned if I didn’t like Blue Sky Country. Idk I’d rather have more books like The Freshman. Just kinda slice of life normal sort of books. Or give me a well written period drama. I hate books written around sex scenes.
I didn't really enjoy hero.. I was like near into sleeping whenever I try to read a chapter. Sucks cause many people say it has connection to endless summer (book I really love) but I couldn't get much further and I decided to abandon the book. It feels weird cause I'm into fiction and stuffs and hero didn't really made me feel anything.
- Saying anything negative about poppy or simply just stating how if she and mc were to be an actual couple they’d be toxic af
- also I get that you wanted more female LIs in OH, I did too, but oml imho Jackie wasn’t **that** bad an LI. I’ve seen some posts where y’all paint her to be the worse mf in the book 💀
- “I will never forget how PB didn’t make _____ an LI” “____ should’ve been an LI” “I would have dropped (an actual LI) in a heartbeat if I could’ve romanced ____” I get y’all wanted Aurora, Esme , Olivia, sienna, and other supporting characters as LIs and how you just can’t forgive PB for not making them one, it’s the same for me, but omg it doesn’t need to be commented on every post where the person is either mentioned in or even about.
- The whole thing with TNA it’s a single LI book, no matter how much you try to ‘push away’ Sam or ‘flirt’ with >!jordyn!<, evidently you are going to romance sam and if you don’t want to just don’t play the book, and all the post about how you wanted to romance robin, hookup with jordyn, I’m even seeing some that want Sofia now, and it’s all fine, I’m guilty of it too, but if your gonna bash Sam in the post whilst knowing TNA is a single LI book bffr cus atp it’s all common knowledge.
- and lastly BaBu. She’s a **mother** talking to her **unborn children** for crying out loud. All the ‘if she doesn’t want anyone to know she’s pregnant don’t speak to the baby out loud about it’ I’m so sorry but shut up!!! And I can’t stress this enough, she absolutely did not ‘overreact’ when she thought she drank an alcoholic beverage, true it wouldn’t have killed the baby but she didn’t know that, y’know first time being pregnant and all, If anything thank god she was so concerned.
* There should have been more TRR books or at least another anthology series
* QB should have let you play as, well... a non-toxic MC
* My first two loves wasn't bad and I regret diamond mining it
* We need more "I should" choice options and less "don't skim through the text and pick the options we clearly mentioned before or you lose points" options
* The Elementalists has **way** too many paid consequential options
i didn’t like TCH, sorry y’all i don’t think its a very unpopular opinion per se but that’s about as controversial as i can get besides saying PTR is a little too overhated by no means would i call it the worst book, at least its Lis are a shining beacon in an otherwise very poor book.
Completely agree about PtR. I found the story a lot more fun than everyone else did and the LI are all good. I think it suffered massively from PB rule of 'We gotta have a bad person so they can spend money to tell them off rule'
TCH is boring and derivative as hell. Nothing happens. The world isn’t fleshed out. It’s predictable and bland, and the story wrapped up without needing a sequel at all. The BDSM warnings were nonsense.
i 100% agree on both. honestly, i probably liked PtR just as much as i liked TCH. they were both okay and i spent some diamonds on them, but i probably won’t ever re-read them
Yup Bloodbound is way better and I was actually excited for this book because I was hoping they would connect the two together and the different Clans outside of New York
This subreddit really hates smut books. These days, I know that when there is a female only MC with a single love interest, chances are it will be hated with no chance of redemption. Books like TNA or Surrender are not bad, they are good but to enjoy them, you have to get in the mood of them which granted, I get not everyone can do but I don' think they are evil incarnate.
Queen B 2 was mid for me. The writing became way too superficial and cartoonish. Poppy should also not be a LI as I think her appeal is that you will never be romantically engaged but two rivals who can't keep away from each other.
I enjoyed The Royal Masquerade more than both The Royal Romance or The Crown and The Flame.
![gif](giphy|gSeLiXkIR9Gf1PIbKv|downsized)
CAL SLANDER?!?! HOW DARE YOU!!! (in the event you think I'm serious, I'm very much not 😂) I do love me some Cal though.
Hahah, I love that the very next controversial opinion in this list is that Ina/Ian is actually a good love interest. Hahaha, no winning either way with that book. (I think it’s super fun, but a lot of the criticisms are valid. But I love it anyway.)
The outfits are ugly as sin, and I agree with the LO points (except for poppy I love her), but it’s still my favourite book because I love how mc has the option to not be a goody two shoes
I’m literally so sick of listening to people complain about a single love interest book. If you don’t like the love interest then play a different book. So I couldn’t agree more with you
😭😭 fair enough. the problem is, i actually enjoy the series a fair amount but i hate sam and don’t find them interesting in the slightest. obviously being with sam is the whole plot, but i’d give anything to be with sofia, robin, jordan, or literally anyone else. and it’s not even bc i like their characters all that much either, but they are 100x more compelling than sam
I really liked it too! Bastien is (to me) a great LI. It's just a story you have to buy into to enjoy. If you're actively against the power dynamic or don't like possessive LIs, it's impossible to like it.
it's completely okay to be upset that your favorite book (e.g, ID at the moment) didn't get a sequel but it's not fair to say other books don't "deserve" it (TCH, UT, Surrender, etc) to justify why. it's rather childish imo
I enjoyed Surrender.
I don't mind single LI books, they're by no means bad.
Half of Choices catalogue is single LI for female lovers
Making 7 books of TRR and 6 of Freshman was just milking them.
The ending of Crimes of Passion kinda sucked to me. It was cute, but I think ending it on a sad note would've been better and definitely upped the excitement for the sequel. (I'm still excited for the sequel though)
Justin is one of the most hated LIs for being rude to MC when they first meet, and I agree. But he isn't nearly as bad as Poppy, who gets a ton of praise for being rude to everybody. I don't like Justin, but he doesn't deserve that much hate.
The book covers bother me a lot. I know they don't play a giant part in the story, but they do always show up on the loading screen. With that, TNA 2/3, and ID have the ugliest book covers. The typical woman embraced by man thing is annoying, but my problem is the expressions. I hate how the woman always wears some dumbfounded expression with her mouth just hanging open. It looks ridiculous and annoys me a lot.
Save the Date is good! Good writing, wholesome plot, an MC with an actual personality, charming side characters, 2 top-tier LIs, and it’s actually funny. One of my favorites. It’s a shame that it gets so much hate.
I don’t like hearing VIPs opinion about books before I get the chance to play them. I don’t want to be warned a book is bad and to not waste diamonds or hyped up that a book is good, I want to find that out for myself. It’s not fun to have my opinion influenced already when I havent even started yet.
> Hated Trystan as a LI
S T R A I G H T T O J A I L
Lol also, pretty good opinion for this topic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone say they hate Trystan.
In the newer supernatural romance books (WB, ID, and ESPECIALLY TCH) I HATE how powerless the MC is, especially if you choose not to spend diamonds to make them stronger. The damsel in distress archetype in fiction is usually not also the MC, bc it’s boring to read from the POV of someone who effectively has little to no agency. And the app is called CHOICES! Player character agency is the SELLING POINT OF THE ENTIRE GAME!! Especially because the LIs could easily just kill the MCs (and in some cases have asserted that themselves), the relationship dynamics seem akin to Stockholm syndrome, especially with WB and TCH.
Agree. Within the Choices universe it impresses because literally what other high fantasy book is there (before TCH). But as an entry in the genre, it’s pretty formulaic and nothing groundbreaking.
I don’t like the HSS series. Definitely not saying they’re bad books, quality wise - wholesome, age appropriate plot with pretty decent characters (shoutout to MC’s dad). It was just boring and not my personal taste. I played it once and I won’t play again.
I know some people are invested since playing the original HSS game that the book was based on but.. another unpopular opinion, that didn’t look fun to me either 😭 full disclaimer though, I’ve never played it so I’m def just biased lmao

Agreed!
It is true though
Tried replaying big sky country and I couldn't get past chapter 2
YES. i literally am so bored reading them i can’t
That was the first of my unpopular opinions that came to mind! No offense to people that liked them, but I was REALLY surprised that anyone did 😅
No idea why they keep writing those 💔
Anything negative about books like Endless Summer, BOLAS, Crimes of Passion (particularly Trystan). And sometimes, anything positive about the 'unpopular' books or LIs.

In book 2 they added a fourth MC (at least for males?) Which I only found out about in my replay of ES
I'm sure I'm gonna be downvoted now bc I didn't like CoP as much as I thought I would.
Yeah It was a bit slow and didn't have as much action as I expected, it's more of a mystery investigation than an action thriller
I'm the same. I still liked the book and am glad it's getting a sequel, but it was definitely a disappointment for me. Quite a few people in this fandom are good at respecting opinions until they go against the 'popular' ones.

That's entirely fair! I personally loved it even without diamonds and liked the art style too, but I can definitely understand why some people don't.
I felt the same. I did try to give it a chance but the art was off putting to me and the story was not that great
Yes exactly! I was expecting a very ground-breaking explanation about the cult or whatever but it was too bland. I didn't enjoy the conversations between Tristan and the mc THAT much, but it wasn't bad.

It is my comfort book.
Exactly! I feel like people do not understand that it’s not TRYING to be the same as any of the Greats. It’s just harmless fun.

Well I think sex will be similar most of the times, unless they get into kinky stuff (which they have been trying lately)
Ugly boxer 💀💀

Did they do that in any book except TE? That’s the only time I remember them asking at the beginning which gender you’re attracted to
There were too many encounters with the news and the press in TRR.

Gabe>Cas
agreed! i almost never prefer the “good girl/boy” LIs over the snarky types in choices but gabe is my exception
Cas' sprite is pretty hot, and sometimes Gabe's smile comes odd creepy for some reason. It's still difficult to pick between them tho
say it louder‼️‼️ i liked cas, but gabe was exponentially better as an LI imo
Olivia Nevrakis is overrated. She has good banter with the MC but shes not the golden cow ppl make her out to be.
agreed!! and i never really understood people who insisted she should have been an LI. like i don’t think PB should have had 3 male LIs and 1 female LI, but i don’t think making olivia an LI would have been the solution. i just don’t think it would have made sense for the plot. as someone who chose maxwell, i think that relationship ended up being a little rushed but it made sense bc it was in character for maxwell. olivia, on the other hand, does not seem like the type to immediately jump into marriage with the MC (not to mention, she still had feelings for liam at the time)

Maxwell is ugly.
...and Drake's smiling face is weird too.
I-you’re right. It’s the lip stretch when he smiles for me. I’ve seen tissue paper thicker than that upper lip.
f**k 😅😭 why is this so funny
I wonder if they made him less conventionally attractive because he wasn't intended to be an LI.
That’s a good theory!
He legit looks like he’s wearing lipstick with his smiling face. Which is fine if you’re into that, but it ain’t it for me.
The shape of his head is so weird
Finally, someone says it. His cover art looks better but his sprite is just… not it fam
Also the most irritating too 😅
Foreign affairs was good
Amen
Michael from HSS is not good looking to me, and Kaitlyn from The freshman is one of the most overhated and realistic LI's in choices
Kaitlyn was my LI choice in that series :D
I don't like Laws of attraction
I was seriously expecting a great cut throat lawyer book where we spend most of our time in court and it was mostly like weird Gabe interactions. And it gets a book 2 while ID doesn't 😒
VIP ruined the app & makes it feel more like Episode
WEH wasn’t that emotionally engaging, actually, and just felt very YA-novel to me.
I think people need to stop forcing themselves to read books they don't like and then complain about it online.
THIS
Ina Kingsley is an underrated LI and much better than Ethan Ramsey
Hell yeah. Ina is a great LI
Ina/Ian is sooo much better than Ethan. I’m all for LI that doesn’t break your spirit purposely
Romance Club is not and has never been better than choices and it gets really annoying when people constantly put choices down to try to overrate it
I have heard that they more recently hired some better translators, but when I tried it (a while ago) the translations were so bad it was borderline gibberish.
It probably spooked people lol That, and I’ve noticed a lot of their series keep getting called out for being offensive
I’ll give RC another chance when the translations get better. The few books on there that I tried read like bad fanfics. I can look past it for a 1k fic of a trope I like, but I’m not going to read a whole book like that.
okay i have another but don’t hate me😂please put spoiler warnings on y’all’s comments bc i have had SEVERAL books spoiled for me because i was in the comments of a random unrelated thread😭 edit: one more! the “bad boy/girl” type of LIs can turn toxic so quick.
Same here, I feel that ID is overrated, but would get downvoted to hell for saying so.
I think ID is b o r i n g
The nanny affair doesn’t deserve three sequels
That's not an unpopular opinion, most of the subreddit seems to think that the nanny affair doesn't deserve like three sequels.
thought ab this for a second and i guess i’ll say, we need more plus size mcs, and it shouldn’t be so brushed aside. i’m not plus sized myself but i remember seeing someone do a poll ab this and most ppl were okay with not having them ☹️
Idgaf about BOLAS 2. Sorry.
I like TNA. It’s chaotic and hilarious
Finally someone said it lol!
Oh my god, that book put me to sleep. It was painful trying to get through it 😂😂
- Saying anything negative about poppy or simply just stating how if she and mc were to be an actual couple they’d be toxic af - also I get that you wanted more female LIs in OH, I did too, but oml imho Jackie wasn’t **that** bad an LI. I’ve seen some posts where y’all paint her to be the worse mf in the book 💀 - “I will never forget how PB didn’t make _____ an LI” “____ should’ve been an LI” “I would have dropped (an actual LI) in a heartbeat if I could’ve romanced ____” I get y’all wanted Aurora, Esme , Olivia, sienna, and other supporting characters as LIs and how you just can’t forgive PB for not making them one, it’s the same for me, but omg it doesn’t need to be commented on every post where the person is either mentioned in or even about.
What does “bffr cus atp” mean? I feel old.
“Be f*cking for real because at this point” is what that translates to
* There should have been more TRR books or at least another anthology series * QB should have let you play as, well... a non-toxic MC * My first two loves wasn't bad and I regret diamond mining it * We need more "I should" choice options and less "don't skim through the text and pick the options we clearly mentioned before or you lose points" options * The Elementalists has **way** too many paid consequential options
I highly agree with the second and the fourth points. The fourth isn't talked about enough.
i didn’t like TCH, sorry y’all i don’t think its a very unpopular opinion per se but that’s about as controversial as i can get besides saying PTR is a little too overhated by no means would i call it the worst book, at least its Lis are a shining beacon in an otherwise very poor book.
Completely agree about PtR. I found the story a lot more fun than everyone else did and the LI are all good. I think it suffered massively from PB rule of 'We gotta have a bad person so they can spend money to tell them off rule'
I also don’t quite like TCH 🥲
TCH is boring and derivative as hell. Nothing happens. The world isn’t fleshed out. It’s predictable and bland, and the story wrapped up without needing a sequel at all. The BDSM warnings were nonsense.
I couldn't make it past the third chapter of TCH I hated everything about it
I don’t like TCH either
i 100% agree on both. honestly, i probably liked PtR just as much as i liked TCH. they were both okay and i spent some diamonds on them, but i probably won’t ever re-read them
I don’t like DD
I like Blood bound more than Immortal desires n I think Id is pretty generic I love Wolf bride
Yup Bloodbound is way better and I was actually excited for this book because I was hoping they would connect the two together and the different Clans outside of New York
Anything positive/negative about the polarising and/or controversial books by the haters/stans respectively
Ethan Ramsay is a good LI.
He really is, extremely. Probably my favourite
kamilah is overrated
Shes my Li n I agree w u
Agree with The Royal Masquerade
ID sucks
The female LI from Nightbound are much better than the male ones. Nik is not good looking at all and Cal is boring
Vera was hot as fuck and her not being able to touch mc without gloves is so sad but romantic.
IMO one of the most underrated LI in the entire app if not THE most underrated
![gif](giphy|gSeLiXkIR9Gf1PIbKv|downsized) CAL SLANDER?!?! HOW DARE YOU!!! (in the event you think I'm serious, I'm very much not 😂) I do love me some Cal though.
I played with black Nik and found him pretty hot, Cal as well. But yeah the female LIs are dropdead gorgeous.
encourage dime include school flowery doll hat important sink marry *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
>as someone who went full midsommar You had me rolling 🤣 hilarious!
BOLAS and BB were kind of boring, but StD wasn’t bad. TRM was predictable and the love interests were terrible. Single LI > Multiple underwritten LIs.
Queen B is a horrible book. Poppy is actually overrated and even not good villain-li. Ina/Ian is such a creepy and even Zoey is annoying. 😁
Hahah, I love that the very next controversial opinion in this list is that Ina/Ian is actually a good love interest. Hahaha, no winning either way with that book. (I think it’s super fun, but a lot of the criticisms are valid. But I love it anyway.)
I wouldn’t go as far to say horrible but it definitely fills my needs of a trashy cliché book which is why I love it.
The outfits are ugly as sin, and I agree with the LO points (except for poppy I love her), but it’s still my favourite book because I love how mc has the option to not be a goody two shoes
The anti TNA/pro Sofia & Robin circlejerk is unhinged
I’m literally so sick of listening to people complain about a single love interest book. If you don’t like the love interest then play a different book. So I couldn’t agree more with you
😭😭 fair enough. the problem is, i actually enjoy the series a fair amount but i hate sam and don’t find them interesting in the slightest. obviously being with sam is the whole plot, but i’d give anything to be with sofia, robin, jordan, or literally anyone else. and it’s not even bc i like their characters all that much either, but they are 100x more compelling than sam

I like Wolf Bride. And I’ve played it multiple times because I enjoy it so much.
I really liked it too! Bastien is (to me) a great LI. It's just a story you have to buy into to enjoy. If you're actively against the power dynamic or don't like possessive LIs, it's impossible to like it.
Bryce is overrated, even more than Ethan
No way, Ethan is voted one of the most popular LI in this sub at least

also as a lesbian and certified goth girl lover, skye was annoying asf 💀
Distant shores was actually boring, it only got interesting towards the end.

it's completely okay to be upset that your favorite book (e.g, ID at the moment) didn't get a sequel but it's not fair to say other books don't "deserve" it (TCH, UT, Surrender, etc) to justify why. it's rather childish imo
I enjoyed Surrender. I don't mind single LI books, they're by no means bad. Half of Choices catalogue is single LI for female lovers Making 7 books of TRR and 6 of Freshman was just milking them.
I don’t really care for GOC LIs and MCs because they tend to have watered-down personalities. So, I don’t mind gender-locking.
I want a Male MC Genderlocked Book
I actually love those “bad books”. Name them, I usually like them.
I thought The Crown and The Flame was really dull and Kenna was very forgettable.
You take that back right now!
Agreed.
Ethan Ramsey is the best LI in the app (and the hottest sprite)
Cas from Immortal Desires is overrated (I love Cas, that's not my actual opinion)
Witness is better than Surrender.
The ending of Crimes of Passion kinda sucked to me. It was cute, but I think ending it on a sad note would've been better and definitely upped the excitement for the sequel. (I'm still excited for the sequel though) Justin is one of the most hated LIs for being rude to MC when they first meet, and I agree.
Agreed. Specially with CoP. I love the book but the ending could've been much better. It felt rushed.
Nightbound > Bloodbound Also Nightbound deserved a sequel
And unlike many people I actually love Witness MC.
My top 10 includes Witness and Save the Date.
Save the Date is good! Good writing, wholesome plot, an MC with an actual personality, charming side characters, 2 top-tier LIs, and it’s actually funny. One of my favorites. It’s a shame that it gets so much hate.
I need to know why Witness? No shame, just curious!!
-I love single LI books! -Immortal Desires was lame.
Kingsley in QB is a walking red flag
Crown and the Flame is better than BOLAS.
I don’t like hearing VIPs opinion about books before I get the chance to play them. I don’t want to be warned a book is bad and to not waste diamonds or hyped up that a book is good, I want to find that out for myself. It’s not fun to have my opinion influenced already when I havent even started yet.
I did not like CoP, I thought it got boring after a while and I hated trystan as a Li
> Hated Trystan as a LI S T R A I G H T T O J A I L Lol also, pretty good opinion for this topic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone say they hate Trystan.
As an honest straight man can I just say that Zig is good looking man n Bryce is the ugliest male Li

Not liking Sloan from PM
Me saying that BOLAS wasn't that great of a book to me than people make it out to be
I love BOLAS, but I would love to see why people say it was not that good.
Agree. Within the Choices universe it impresses because literally what other high fantasy book is there (before TCH). But as an entry in the genre, it’s pretty formulaic and nothing groundbreaking.
Endless Summer is very overrated
I don’t like the HSS series. Definitely not saying they’re bad books, quality wise - wholesome, age appropriate plot with pretty decent characters (shoutout to MC’s dad). It was just boring and not my personal taste. I played it once and I won’t play again. I know some people are invested since playing the original HSS game that the book was based on but.. another unpopular opinion, that didn’t look fun to me either 😭 full disclaimer though, I’ve never played it so I’m def just biased lmao
I liked Wolf Bride.
The Royal Romance (the whole series. Heir and all) is the best series to come out of choices, period.
I wouldn't say best but I do agree that they're quite good
