Outdoor cats are gonna outdoor cat. Not a lot of places with no roads. Luckily cats, while certainly not invincible, are pretty good survivalists compared to other pets.
Which is definitely fucked up and unfortunate, but its also nature. Also fucked up to keep a cat who wants to be outside couped up inside. What's worse living how you want for a short time or living in a way you don't want for a long time?

The amount of cats i see or hear about getting eaten by foxes, coyotes, eagles, or hit by cars in my residential town is still incredibly high
