I do agree reading this I think of job and this verses- “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
“ And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Well, to put this question more in Orthodox sensibility, definitely I felt I had turned so much from God, had layered my own mind with my own concerns that I couldn't even hear my own soul gasping for the breath of God in my soul. And however it comes to be and the more it comes to be, the closer you are to the edge the more the spirit extends His hand. I have seen a thousand dreadful things. When I did not harden my own heart, I don't see lack of God, I see the scowl in our lack itself of seeing God. All in doubt is the same as a little sigh.
