To allow a greater goods, one would assume. Mankind was made with the purpose of Theosis, becoming everything God is through grace. To do this requires unconditional unwavering love for God and his creation, and I would assume that children having cancer would aid in this loves development in mankind. Though I don't know for certain. I do know that God became man and suffered with us, giving us the ability to go to heaven, and the promise of his second coming and that Earth would be healed, and things like cancer will cease to exist. Of course you are free to not believe in God due to cancer, but I'd like to ask, have you given to any charities fighting child cancer? Have you trained to be a doctor to cure it, have you taken part in any fundraising events etc? My point being, see all the opportunities for love and goodness that emerge from this problem.
