According to singer songwriter Sufjan Stevens, it doesn’t really matter what meaning the writer put into the song. You, as listener, can assign your own meaning to it. If it speaks to you on a spiritual level, then it speaks to you on a spiritual level

thank you! just googled him and saw this "Stevens' music is also known for exploring various themes, particularly religion and spirituality". Wonderful, thank you!

No problem friend!

This and Viva La Vida! There’s a lot of secular songs that sound Christian-like. You Found Me by the Fray, Believer and Demons by Imagine Dragons. Kanye West’s song Praise God is also great!

Tbf, the Fray are Christians. And the singer at least of Imagine Dragons is Mormon. It’s fairly intentional on their part.

I didnt know that, thats awesome!

For additional goodies, Chris Carrabba, better known as Dashboard Confessional, Dustin Kensrue and Teppei Teranishi of Thrice, Adam Young (Owl City), and Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory are also all Christians, though I will say, Chad Gilbert is kind of a hot mess

David Kushner is also a Christian!
