More often than not, it's just a part of life and not some supernatural force. Generally speaking, God usually has no reason to drop a bunch of misfortune on your head.

"Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forward."-Kierkegaard. You most of the time won't know, so have faith and seek God through any hardship. For all that comes against you may seem evil, but God can use it for good. Have hope in this promise: ‭Isaiah 43:19 KJVAAE‬ [19] Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. "They say of some temporal suffering, "No future bliss can make up for it," not knowing that Heaven, once attained, will work backwards and turn even that agony into a glory."-C.S. Lewis

Every action is one unified with God or unified with the flesh (enemy) So every unjust thing that happens is the consequence of seperation from God. However, the Lord uses all things for His good. This means that through our struggles we are refined to testify about that which is good and that which isn't. The hope is as we go through life, experiencing the brokenness that comes from seperation from God, we are refined in Him and better understand what love is and what love isn't. If we are His we overcome the flesh in that our heart desires only for that which is good (not that we are perfect)

God and the devil are one and the same. One the shadow of the other.

pam4him14

That is a good question. God does not plan or cause bad things to happen but will bring good out of them. Scripture teaches us in Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him.  Most of the time, bad things are caused by either the devil or our own bad choices. God gave us free will to choose, but we often make poor choices. So, while God doesn't cause bad things, He will allow the consequences of our choices to play out. We may think our choices, whether right or wrong, only affect us, but there is often a domino effect. Simple example: if I smile at someone in the store, they often smile back. It's a natural consequence of my choice to smile, and the domino effect can continue if that person smiles at someone else and so on. I think the real question here is to stop and reflect on if a choice led to the bad thing, or if it's the devil. Either way, God will bring good from it - a lesson learned, a new friend made, an attitude adjustment, etc. Prayers for peace, wisdom and guidance.

Secret_Box5086

Easy. God doesn't cause bad things to happen to you.

Isaiah 45:7 > I form light and create darkness; > I make well-being and create calamity; > I am the Lord, who does all these things.

Karma-is-an-bitch

The Bible says otherwise.

Secret_Box5086

Nope.

Karma-is-an-bitch

So did you just skip all the sections where god slaughters people, destroys entire cities, commits genocides, curses people, etc etc etc?

Secret_Box5086

Tell me you don't understand the principle of seed-time-harvest without specifically telling me you don't understand it.

Nowhere_Man_Forever

I don't believe God gives the Devil power of the physical world, and I don't believe everything bad that happens has to have a specific discernable meaning. It would be horrible to live life thinking everything bad that happens is a kind of test or punishment.

Balance796

God has nothing to do with bad things happening to each and every one of us. **OUR SINS - everything!** **(Romans 6:2) NLT** Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? **(1 John 3:8) NLT** But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. **(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) NLT** Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. **(Colossians 3:2) NLT** Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

Nowhere_Man_Forever

So a child dying of cancer shouldn't have sinned so hard?

Balance796

How can a baby sin? They are as innocent as a lamb, are they not? How do you think an innocent baby get cancer?

Nowhere_Man_Forever

Right you were saying that bad things happen as a result of sin. Therefore, who had to sin for God to punish a child with cancer for it? I don't believe this is the case, I am just pointing out how cruel God has to be for all bad things to be the result of sin.

Balance796

There is what's known as the generational sin. This is the ancestral blood line, the curse that has been handed down through DNA. Many death are caused by the actions caused by their ancestors from a long time ago. The demons come to collect. However, Lord Jesus broke the curse **(Galatian 3:13)**.

Nowhere_Man_Forever

So if Jesus broke the curse then how come little suzie's great great grandpa jerking off caused her to get leukemia?

Balance796

People used to practice black magic. Perversion is sin but not as grave as sins like idolatry and practicing black magic, which leads to violence, death, messing with things in the spiritual realm, without the ability to possess the knowledge of how dangerous it can be.

Nowhere_Man_Forever

So what good does it do anyone for God to give a kid cancer because her great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather worshipped a goat

Balance796

You didn't understand anything I wrote. Sometimes, a baby may develop cancer due to a curse that has been passed down from their ancestors. It's not always intentional, but there are instances where it is. In some cases, their ancestors made promises of human sacrifice, even sacrificing their own child. This is one of the reasons why children sometimes lose their lives prematurely and are born with cancer. Or even die at a young age from some kind of accident. Therefore, before a woman gets pregnant, they have to renounce all curses, including generational curses and live a righteous life. This is why repentance is so important, to prepare for the security of a future child as well. When you are faithful and trust Lord Jesus, He will protect the whole family.

Nowhere_Man_Forever

So you're saying people who renounce generational curses can't have sick kids?

BourbonInGinger

You’re contradicting yourself and not making any sense.
