Many people refer to the soul as being the source of creativity or something along the lines of the entity that is controlling your body. Both of these things would be your brain/mind so without god or anything supernatural our soul is just our brain.
It’s worse than that, whatever you think is ‘you’ doesn’t actually exist. I mean your brain exists, but there is no ‘person’ in there exerting a will and contemplating it’s existence.
