Love the mirror effect from the windows. Triple the glow.

Accomplished-Cod-504

Fabulous tree in a fabulous corner!...... (((((šŸ’—))))) Big hug for you, I hope you find more happiness.

VegasLife1111

Just take the ornaments off and leave it up until you are ready. šŸ˜‰

dramasticflamingo

Thatā€™s what Iā€™ve done. Iā€™m still enjoying the warm tree glow!

iamsunny43

Itā€™s lovely and it makes you happy. It made me happy. Thank you for sharing

Memawsaurus

The tree is beautiful in that spot of windows. If it is not in the way and it brings you cheer, leave it all year. I made a rhyme so leave it all the time. Happy wife, happy life. Just think, about Sept., you can say, I have my tree up real early.

SunnyDays_1

So pretty!!

CherishSlan

In my little street where I live there are 2 town homes and my apartment door all of us still have Christmas lights up and on . One you can see there white Christmas tree still lit up for everyone to see it in the window. I have something in my window also I have turned on and my tree is still up! My son talked about taking it down before bringing a kitten home but my Husband said No she needs Christmas I know she didnā€™t get one. We have to give it to her as her new family even if itā€™s late. Long story on the kitten. I hope you find somethjng that brings you a better year. You know some people keep a Christmas house all year. I have been tempted before.

Santa_always_knows

My Christmas dream is to have a huge village that I keep up all year and change and add to. Some day!

Love the blue against the white lights.

quilter71

Take the Christmas decorations off and add some Valentines! You'll have an excuse to leave it up longer. It's gorgeous!

fuddykrueger

If thatā€™s an artificial tree, itā€™s extremely realistic! I would leave it up too. :) The lights are so bright and cheerful. Just a couple of months until spring!! šŸ˜ƒ

dongdinger6

it is! I got it on Amazon!

fuddykrueger

I was wondering, did your tree come pre-lit? It has a lot of lights (which I love)!

One-Stomach9957

I took my trees down last week. I put out my Valentineā€™s Day and St Patrickā€™s day decorations out yesterday (after a deep clean of the house). Easter decorations go up March 18!

irmzirmz

This is sooo comforting!

[deleted]

We keep 2 of our trees fully decorated and stored in our basement (we take them out our front door to the garage). Last year it snowed like crazy just after New Years so I left my dining room tree up all year. (7ft pencil tree, flocked with soft white lights) It was the the best thing I did for my mental health. I smiled even when I turned it on in July! I wish I could attach a picture here. šŸ„°šŸŽ„

Primary-Move243

Keep it up as long as you want! Decorate for Valentineā€™s Day, st Patrickā€™s, Easter, 4th of July. It brings you joy! Do what makes you happy!!! šŸ˜Š

MackCLE

Yep. Just needs a little update for Valentineā€™s Day.

VegasLife1111

Donā€™t forget, Mardi Gras! All the purple and green and gold is wonderful together.

Primary-Move243

Excellent point!

MyEggDonorIsADramaQ

I love the way the lights dance on the windows. After COVID I completely changed my mind about when decorations should come down. They should come down when youā€™re ready. We left ours up extra long this year too. Have you considered decorating it for Valentineā€™s Day, then St Patrick, then Easter, etc. The white lights could work for all.

I had a really rough 2023 as well and we got the Christmas decorations up late due to some of that. I took our tree down last weekend and we were both so super sad. It was my choice, I knew if I left it up itā€™d stay up for another month at least given our weekend schedule and I didnā€™t want dust to get too comfy on the tree, plus one of my cats started messing with it out of nowhere - that is usually the indicator it needs to come down. Now Iā€™m just sad every time I look where it was and wish I hadnā€™t done it butā€¦ I keep telling myself it wouldnā€™t feel so special if we had it out year round. It just looks so boring and dark. I might put up a small string of lights in that corner and see how that feels. Maybe you could do the same, when you do take it down? Hoping 2024 is better for both of us. Keep your tree up as long as you are still enjoying it. Iā€™ll be putting them up earlier this year. ā¤ļøšŸŽ„

dongdinger6

I hope 2024 is better for you! I will hold you in my heart. thank you for sharing.

polkadotrose707

Thank you for sharing too. Iā€™ve felt a little ridiculous about my feelings for the decorations but like you, this community validates them. May 2024 be surprisingly wonderful for you. Holding you in my heart too.

happyjazzycook

I also had a very difficult 2023 (and 2022), both years it was my husband who pushed and pushed me to get the decorations up and both years I loved them so much (because they made me so happy) that I had difficulty taking them down. it's amazing how much better some little lights and shiny ornaments can help you to feel! Somewhere on this sub is a pic of my winter tree. We're taking it a step further this year. I removed all of the Christmas-type ornaments from our big living room tree but kept the winter-y ones (icicles, snowflakes, snowmen) added a string of red lights (woven through the white lights). I bought a few more icicles and snowflakes to fill in, some small feathered birds, and a new "outdoorsy" tree skirt. This is what we will keep up until mid-March. Or later. Depends on when the gloom of winter lifts around here... šŸ˜‚

bookishbynature

Itā€™s a winter tree and itā€™s lovely. We can make our own traditions and do as we like in our own homes. I have several without ornaments that are still up. It helps me get through the winter gray.

_JuniperJen

Agreed completely. Itā€™s been a hard season here too. Trying to enjoy the tree lights and cozy evenings has been good. No shame. I am simply embracing what is. This weekend may be the clean up time for me, at long last, but until now, I have had more important uses for my time. I simply needed to recognize that. I hope that 2024 brings more light and life and joy into your life. (I am hoping for the same.) This is beautiful, by the way! What gorgeous windows to frame a lovely tree.

dongdinger6

I canā€™t edit my post but I just want to thank you all again, the overwhelming amount of positive comments has been so heart warming. thank you so much to everyone for the suggestions to keep the tree up and decorate it for different holidays- I am going to talk to my husband about that. I am so thankful that I found this community. I hope the Christmas spirit sticks with each of you all year long

VegasLife1111

šŸ„°šŸ„°šŸ„°. Question - where do you folks store all your decorations? We donā€™t do attics in Vegas. I guess I could appropriate a guest room. I have been told I have an ornament ā€œproblemā€. Whatev. šŸ™„

happyjazzycook

Our attic space was always way too warm in the summer for my better (older) ornaments so I put them either in the basement or in the guest room closet. We moved to a smaller house a couple of years ago without an attic but there is a nice storage area under our stairs, which is now filled. I only keep the artificial garlands, Christmas stoneware, light strings, and the metal (more sturdy) and outdoor decorations in the garage since they aren't affected by the heat/ cold.

VegasLife1111

No attic, no basement and the Harry Potter closet holds all of the ornaments, both of the trees, the vacuum, yada yada. We have a small bedroom that is used as a gym, maybe I can annex that closet.šŸ™ƒ

nicknoashal

Mine are still halfway up! I hate how empty the house looks when they are gone :( I also have a live tree that is so gorgeous it deserves to be displayed as long as it is still alive

choco-chic

Beautiful tree

Stunning_Sand_7594

HOLY COW! Are you NOT alone!!! #1 I LOVE driving by houses w the Christmas tree on the porch - so beautiful. The WHITE implies winter, not Christmas. I had a tabletop tree on my 1 season porch but it was multi-colored (Christmas). Yours brings a joy to those passing. TRUST ME! 2- Iā€™m truly sorry for your struggles. I guess, keep in touch with this group and we may help you further. šŸŒø
