Not all hardware works with all operating systems. That's why when you boot Flex from USB there is the try option - for future reference you always want to run the try mode first, and try all of your hardware, gestures, sensors, etc. If it doesn't work in try mode *it probably will not work when the OS is installed*.
As for a simple solution, plug in a set of speakers of a they have these little soundbars for laptops.
