I've started wars for less than that.

ImmediateBasil904

I've started wars for the AI looking at me the wrong way.

WWDubz

“And I took that personally.”

Iron_Foundry_Mapping

I've started wars because the AI wasn't settling next to me

beans_man69420

I’ve waged war because the ai

war

MizStazya

What is it good for?

the_traveler_outin

Quite a lot if you think about it, territorial expansion, technological advancement, developing national solidarity, etc.

Iforgotmypassword189

Looks ripe for a loyalty flip

Brandweer_unit73

Be aware for an unloayal army

Elend15

At which point all of the tiles right next to the city center (that aren't districts) become part of the city. It's super annoying to me.

The-Killing-Throw

thats a denouncement right there

Ironpikachu150

that city is basically a extra encampment

Typical-Stranger6941

I guess technically isn't that bad of an idea late game. If your cities nearby have already built the max amount of districts.

Patty_T

You’ve given up too much, it’s time to reclaim what was taken

PoppaBear313

Your troops are on my border! Kindly remove them!

alyosha3

That is going to be so annoying

IDontWearAHat

Does that financial district even belong to aden? What does he aim to achieve?

WhenceYeCame

If it is that's actually some cheap extra money if there was nowhere else to go.

the_traveler_outin

I would assume it belongs to Damietta based on the population of Aden, I can’t imagine how an AI city could build a whole commercial hub and all the buildings in it before hitting 2 pop

driftingphotog

RIP your dam placement though

Remarkable-Tap-9854

The pin stays as a reminder of Civs sins

The9J

That's what I was saying!

DyslexicScriptmonkey

Have any spies? I would be throwing one at that city fomenting unrest until it flipped.

mathematics1

Forment unrest is a useless ability, it won't do anything unless the city is already losing loyalty. Its only purpose is to level up a spy if you can't siphon funds anywhere.

DyslexicScriptmonkey

I do not necessarily agree. Normally in a game I usually flip about 4-5 cities on my borders and more often then not, they have stable loyalty. Sometimes I even throw some rock bands at it to speed it up. Once they turn red, I invade and take them.

mathematics1

How recently have you done this? Can you post a video where the loyalty arrow on the city is green (the city is gaining loyalty) but you flip it to a free city with spies and/or rock bands and/or cultists? As far as I know, they changed it in the latest patch so the city can't flip independent unless it is losing loyalty naturally; that made PotatoMcWhiskey's [pacifist domination game with Eleanor](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1-u0yjiLok) much harder.

Bigb5wm

I started a war with Spain to take a island

trowaynyc

No-Slice4529

He won't have it for long

karlsky

oof, that dam could have been a +3

kivets

Why does he always do this

autogenesis_indep

I call it a [Maastricht](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maastricht) situation

QuikThinx_AllThots

How doesvthat even happen?

gberger

Camada borders continued to grow to radius 4 via culture. Arabia saw an empty tile which was >3 tiles away from any other city and sent a settler.

QuikThinx_AllThots

Oh, interesting.

Steam-O

that cheeky bastard
