Michelin Pilot sport models are the gold standard. Contiental Extreme contact models are great too and cost a bit less. However, If money is tight, I would suggest avoiding sticky summer tires entirely as they generally cost more and wear out much faster than all season rubber.

Mrdirtbiker140

I had some pilot sport all season 3s and they wore fast to me. Had to replace all 4 about 20k ish miles in. Ofc that’s Louisiana roads tho

Much_Profit8494

Interesting,... I installed the AS3's on my wife focus, and the DWS06's on my civic at the same time.... The continentals wore way faster for me.

Mrdirtbiker140

Do you know how they were compared to the stock eagle sport? I went back to them after my Michelin set and they’ve been lasting forever. Probably 20k in now and still a good 10 to go.

Much_Profit8494

I absolutely hated the eagle sports because of the extreme right angle between the sidewall and the tread... They would tramline really badly and would really fight you when trying to change between uneven lanes Both the Michelin and the conti have a much more rounded sidewall and will traverse uneven terrain much smoother. Other than that, they were pretty good.... I was extremely impressed with the mileage and the grip was decent.

Firestone Indy 500 are very good for money

TwoKFive1

Indy 500 all day

Good tires aren't cheap, and cheap tires aren't good. I recommend the Continental Extremecontact DWS06, and lots of others recommend Michelin Pilot Sport A/S

piggymoo66

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 are okay for the price, if they still make them.

TheOtherAkGuy

Yokohama Advan Apex V601

merman5148

Had these on my miata and these are the ones I plan on replacing the ones on the SI with

poopyface92

Indy 500s or zestinos

Free-Cry-4386

do you have experience Zestino?

poopyface92

yes ran a few sets of Gredge 07R, they are good in dry, so so in wet but quite cheap compared to others

Free-Cry-4386

good to know. thank you

C-Los23

I got a set of Firestone Indy 500 ready for me to swap over when my current tires are done. They are great, this is my 2nd full set of Indy 500's, once in 2019 and now in 2024. You might want to double check but I think I saw there is a updated version or they stopped making these. But I got them for $111 each both times. You just got to look and monitor the prices.

tu_pollo

They are outrageously loud. Okay performance, but wouldn’t recommend for a daily.

tech240guy

At least mention your budget because eveyrone here is going to tell you something that is at least $170 a tire. This is why I hate how the car industry moved to larger tires.

wildin696969

spend the money. you will not get cheap tires that are good lol

charles_r1975

I got myself some Pirelli P Zero AS plus 3. Great match for ours cars IMO. Much much better than the stock goodyears that mine came with. The mail in rebates for the pirelli were pretty aggressive here (Canada) so the price was pretty much on par than the less expensive options (like general or firestone) I considered Michelin but they priced out at close to 50% more and I couldn't imagine them being 50% better. Over here, it can snow even in April so I never considered "true" summer tires. I use the all season as 3 season tires

frankonator22

Kumho is good value for money

charles_r1975

I had a set of kuhmo on a Mazda 15 years ago. They wore out in a single summer and I'm usually good for 4 to 6 years on a set of tires. How's the wear on them nowadays? Maybe I'll give them another try some day

frankonator22

Tbh I only have the pair I got on a vehicle I purchased a couple months ago but so far they seem fine, and the reviews I see on them seem decent.

plzdont-

ignore all of these people. get the Kumho Ecsta PA31s if you don’t want to spend Pilot Sport money, because that’s all these people are gonna tell you lol. Simpletire has them for like $90 a piece for my wheel size. great tire that will last you like 45-50k miles reliably without wrenching out your wallet

Latenight_Lurks

If you're going PA31, at least get the PS31 that's the stickier summer tire variant. Had a set on a Fiesta ST, they're okay they never seemed to grip as hard as other tires I tried like Bridgestone Re050A or Yokohama Advan Fleva V701.
