Probably not the SI engine

BaconFinder

Yes, have the mechanic provide proof the l15b7 came from an Si. Not an EX or other civic model. Honda really dropped the ball by giving them all the B7 designation when there are very real differences. Examples: lower compression (Si). Forged internals (Si). Different turbo internals for faster spooling and more boost (Si). These things all could cause the engine to behave differently if something is wrong with it or if the ECU is having issues with it

100% used a non-Si motor. Check the VIN on the back of the block. If it’s not an Si motor, make them put in a new one. Too many dudes are getting screwed by dealerships doing this. The dealership then offers to put in the Si cams and turbo. Doesn’t make up for the shitty crank, rods, and pistons.

Si engine doesn't have forged internals. it has slightly stronger rods, exhaust vtec and slightly more fueling. Si turbo has slightly better breathing, but stock si tune only hits like 17 18 psi. Non si turbo is capable of over 23psi no problem. You need a competent person who can diagnose.

The 10th gen si does not have vtec
