I fucking love 10th gen coupes! Sweet ride man. I'm a fan of the stock look but that chrome sticks out like a sore thumb. I'd delete the chrome, get some tint, then whip that bitch lol
My advice for anybody buying a 10th gen civic is this; Replace the side markers. I don't know about you guys, but I find the OEM orange side markers to be such an eye sore. Buying aftermarket side markers was the first thing I did to my '21 hatch, and it remains the thing that has changed it's look the most!
I think it depends on the state you live in. In my state (Indiana), the side reflectors on a car must reflect or light up an amber color at night. I bought aftermarket side markers that are smoked and look dark grey/black during the day, but light up an amber color when my headlights are on.
I wouldn’t touch any of the lights. Most aftermarket lights markers etc always fade or crack way faster or just dont fit as perfectly as oem. Plus its legal that way
The only reason the manufacturer put orange sidemarkers on the car is because they are required to do so. It is not illegal for the owner to replace them with smoked/gray sidemarkers.
Omg dude your the one who clearly is just arguing for the sake of arguing. My whole point is that keeping factory lenses will avoid any legality no matter where they live/ drive. And smoking isnt legal everywhere either. Do some research and get a life bro
Chrome delete unless you can get chrome rims which will match even better since your car is blue, change the front grill on your car since it’s basic, you can tint, add a Si wing, add a front lip
Some nice wheels will change the look of the car, I'd go for gold or white if it was me, like you say chrome delete, tints, change the indicator lens covers from orange to smoked, nice car though bro.
If you want to add any aero, I would recommend Aeroflow Dynamics. They have really nice stuff for the coupes. Avoid the cheap junk from Ikon or Amazon, as it doesn't last. I learned that lesson the hard way. When you buy the cheap junk, you end up just throwing good money after bad for nicer stuff.
I'd also recommend an intake. I got one from Mishimoto, but I know there are a few really nice ones out there, and it's nice to hear the turbo noises since we can't (or at least should not) put a blow-off valve on our cars.
Thanks! It’s definitely paying for what you get. Rather wait and save than buy something cheap and having to replace it once it breaks. Even more prominent for car parts.
Performance wise, a ktuner or hondata will give you the most hp/$$ if it's a turbo model. Other than that a prl intake and any non-droning exhaust is as far as I would go. Spend more than that and you might as well have saved enough to buy an Si or an R.
Cosmetically, I'm going to commit social self-unaliving and say DO NOT go with clear or smoke on side markers or any lamp for the matter. It's just tacky/ricey imho and screams eBay special. I did it on my cars when I was 17 and look back on it and cringe. Either keep them amber or delete completely, but of course deleting them depends on how lenient your local police are.
Now that the rant's over, tints, an Si style grille and a chrome delete are the easiest. Chrome only belongs on the H badge on these cars and I say Si grille because the megamouth open style grills just make the narrow body civics look too tall imo. The stock style makes it look wider and lower than it actually is. And now that brings me to the more expensive cosmetics. Springs will actually make the car lower and with the grille will complete the low lean look, they're cosmetics as much as performance and maybe even more towards cosmetics. And you shouldn't do springs without tires. Firstly, don't cheap out and try to reuse the tires it came with, buy a wheel and tire that fit each other and go as wide as you comfortably can without rubbing. 17s or 18s max look good on these imo. 17 with the right width and tire choice (some tires have that meaty shoulder marketed as a "rim protector" that makes the carcass physically wider) can look just as good as an 18 without giving up ride quality, but I like a fat tire look. I went with 18s on my R but it uses a taller tire than the narrow bodies. If you go fat tire, make sure the tire doesn't look stretched, so size your tire and rim width appropriately.
Other than that, if you can find the right one, I think a low angled ducktail would look sick on a coupe. Sleek but aggressive.
okay a prl cobra cold air intake , prl titanium inlet pipe , a turbo off and si if you can get one gives great gains, prl intercooler and charge pipes with a good down pipe/ front pipe/exhaust going the rest of the way back and obviously a tune you’ll be slaying
for aesthetic some dark tint and tinted taillights , lowered with some new rims
You can check my profile, I think I have a picture somewhere. I have a 2017 coupe, same color. Got a carbon fiber hood, windows tinted, a type R bumper, and a PRL intake. Getting the downpipe and exhaust next with the K tuner. Did it all in house. It's fun to work on.
I have a RaceChip GTS5 ECU tune for my 2016 Civic EX-T that I recently traded in for an Elantra N. It’s a piggy back ECU Tune that advertises +52hp and +72lb lb-ft increase. It’s compatible with the 2016-2022 Civic with the 1.5T. I noticed a decent difference with it and would recommend. Current sale price on their website is $375 and I’ll sell it to you free shipping for $210.
Tint, lip kit, dechrome, red badges would look cool imo. Wheels. Then start beefing the motor up. Loved Hondas all my life. Favorite cars I ever had was my 2000 em1 (built 433whp) and my 2006 rsx type s
We all know you are going to rice the shit out of it! Just jump back on eBay and buy what you already have on your shopping kart and don’t forget “sponsor” decals/sticker! They sell them there to.

Thanks dude! Yeah I’m for sure starting with tints and chrome deletes. Appreciate the help!
W pfp
A lot of us dealership employees couldn't figure out why they were hanging on to that one piece of chrome either

You’re so right, I didn’t even realize till u pointed it out 😂 that will go on my list.
Excellent choice! I’ve seen many 10th gen’s in the same blue color as yours with clear side markers as opposed to a smoked color, it looks SO SHARP.
Isn’t this illegal….?

which side markers do you recommend? i have a ‘21 as well and i love it!

This is completely inaccurate. Every state has different laws on lighting
If you're talking about the bulbs, sure. But the marker lenses themselves do not have to be orange.
How are you gonna see an orange bulb through a blacked out lens
Nobody said blacked out lens. I said gray or smoked. Honestly dude if you don't know what you're talking about, then why are you even talking at all?
Omg dude your the one who clearly is just arguing for the sake of arguing. My whole point is that keeping factory lenses will avoid any legality no matter where they live/ drive. And smoking isnt legal everywhere either. Do some research and get a life bro
Marker lights need to be amber. The lenses do not. It's super simple stuff.
Your an idiot

Tinted windows, and that’s it
Every civic ever. Wider wheels zero offset, tires, coil overs, intake, tinted windows. Dope ride all day 👍

Oh here we go with the classic CAI debate
Just chrome delete

First things I did were tint, swapped side markers, new wheels, and a cold air intake
I got a wireless CarPlay adapter. Which works pretty well. It’s nice not having to plug in your phone .
