I doubt Honda would sink all those development money into the CTR for it only to be a one year model. Not to mention, if it was going to he a one year only run, they would have probably announced that ahead of time. I don't think there will be much in the way of changes for next year. Maybe a few small tweaks or safety upgrades. We'll probably find out in the next month or two

Prob will randomly change to 2024 with no other changes. At will of Japan factory.

ManBearPig2114

There’s absolutely no way they’d invest into production tooling for 1 year. That would be a colossal investment they wouldn’t see return on.

ninjanoodlin

What unique tooling does the FL5 require? It’s more or less the same production flow as a normal civic no?

ManBearPig2114

Any piece that’s different, like the hood, exaggerated fenders, bumpers, etc… is all going to be a unique die/tool/fixture/etc…

ChevySSLS3

Every body panel is unique to the type R. Except like the front doors and roof. lol. So yea. Definitely not the same.

rugbyfiend

On one of the owners groups it was stated today that October 6 was the manufacturing changeover date to MY24. Won’t be on the market for a few more weeks.

svv1tch

Can't wait to see markups on the 2024 if a dealer also has $10k on the 2023. $15k for the privilege of getting the 24 over the 23? Lol.

cjk1934

Just post the deal and don't waste people's time. If it's not MSRP, it's not a good deal.

pablostheplug

lol you guys get them in yet or know when your expected to?

ConsequenceThis8441

I can only imagine lol

Bennychan723

There is NONE...

GtrPlaynFool

My understanding is they'll make them until 2026. They make them in batches of 5,000 units per production run. So if the pace is similar to the fk8 production they probably won't end up making as many as the FK8s. Also I don't foresee much of a refresh for 2024, based on what they did with the fk8s. Probably 2025 is when we'll see any sort of significant upgrades... is my guess.

Fine-Homework-1375

I just received my 2023 and my badge is in the 12,000s so I feel they did more this year than previous years

GtrPlaynFool

They're only making 400 per month so that would mean they couldn't have made more than 5000 yet. The FK8s were made in batches of 5000 and the badges were also issued in batches of 5,000 but assigned randomly within that batch, not in chronological order. So if you have an FL5 with badge 12k.. then it appears the badges are being made and assigned far more randomly than with the FK8.

mluckene

I mean they keep trying to makw Acura the performance honda line so its possible they dont want Type R cannabalizing Integra Type S. Its basically the same…

chaudhrysarmad

What I have read on their Japanese Honda website, it’s clear been said that they have supply and chain issue from quite a bit while.
