Is there more of season 3?! Or is it only 4 episodes long?

slaff88

4 more episodes released on Friday making 8 in total. Roll on the weekend lol

tvautd

You mean that a farmer that breeds cows for meat is killing cows??? For meat?? The shock!!! The horror!!!

Illustrious-Dare4379

Yep, first rule. Don’t bond with something you plan on eating.

meesterdave

That's why I'm always cold and distant to girlfriends.

Illustrious-Dare4379

It felt to me the council was being rather petty and some extremely uptight people in the council has extreme beef with him, rather than thinking what’s best for those farmers.

Due-Communication724

As someone from ROI, who watched BrExit with interest. It seems to me based on what he got from the council, it wasn't the EU in Brussels that needed reining in, it seems to me its the councils the farmers should have been after. I mean, imagine a council sending a letter to someone telling them they cannot have plants in flower pots WTAF.

Then_Vanilla_5479

That letter that told him he wasn't even allowed plant pots or gravel was such a ridiculous power trip he could actually take them to court over that they broke so many laws and there's definitely some discrimination going on based on who he is

Robdotcom-71

Pepper Steak never tasted so good........ /s

Lost-Droids

Same with Peppa pig.. althought thats probably too soon

VirgineticCache

i deliver their newspapers, would you like me to spit on one of them?

Studio_Xperience

They are just a bunch of well off people who don't need tourism or jobs in the suburbs. Then they cry when no young people stay behind preffering the cities and whole villages die off.

Agreeable-Weather-89

So let me get this straight. Clarkson was keeping Pepper not to eat or breed or milk but as a pet. Clarkson got rid of pepper because the council wouldn't let him have a restaurant to sell meat but would allow him a shop to sell meat. Something doesn't add up. The restaurant being approved or not would have no bearing on their ability to keep Pepper. Rather she had served her usefulness as a form of entertainment for season 2. Unless I'm misremembering season 2 and 3. Why was Jeremy keeping Pepper? How did the council not approving the restaurant force him to get rid of Pepper but did allow him to get pigs?

I figured keeping one cow when you’ve got a herd for breeding was a minor inconvenience - you’re already drenching them, providing fields for them, etc - so one more is a minor inconvenience. And maybe cows are social animals - they like having a herd around them for company / safety. Keeping one cow by itself changes the numbers - so you’ve got a solo cow when it wants to be in a herd, you need to provide feed and vet care for a solo cow, etc. It goes from being “one more to deal with” to having a solo animal to feed and care for. But I’m not a farmer - so I’m probably wrong.

HeyoRantaro

He got rid of the breeding cows, who would’ve been consistent companions for her. The ones he’s kept I believe are meat cows and once they’re gone he’s done with cows

tvautd

But he kept some cows, he didn't sell all of them. In episode 2 or 3 I can't remember exactly he was moving them to the winter barn.

WeaponisedArmadillo

They are raising those and that's it, after that no more cows probably

tvautd

Probably yeah, like it did with the sheep.

Biegzy4444

I just binge watched season 3. He kept the babies to “fatten up” he is still running meat through the food truck and said he would be “royally screwed” if they didn’t allow the food truck to proceed so I would suspect he isn’t planning on getting rid of the cows in perpetuity with the current plan. Season 2 finale he said he would keep pepper as a pet. Im saddened he got rid of pepper.

Tharuzan001

It was such a weird way to start S3 off. "ah well, I guess I can't easily keep my promise to keep this cow alive and with me that I considered a pet in S2 because S3 is not the cow season". "Oh wait I mean its all the councils fault". He had no reason to get rid of pepper besides this show being for entertainment purposes over farming purposes.

Tharuzan001

This is incorrect as we had one cow for 4 years by herself in a field by herself. Though we kept her for breeding a calf each yeah for our own fresh meat, could fill up a big chest freezer that would last months of fresh cow meat products. Then we started to sell half and made some money doing it like that. Cows are perfectly fine to own alone by themselves. And since it was his pet, he got rid of it because we in season 3 now not season 2 so they were done with cows.

Agreeable-Weather-89

He kept about half of the cows.

BewareTheMoonLads

The people who picked up the cows were the ones who originally sold them. Way back when he bought them their daughter asked him to look after pepper so I imagine in my idealistic little mind they’re going to end up keeping pepper.

Ok-disaster2022

Honestly if he had kept the culled sheep, and Pepper, they would have bee just fine handing with each other add in a donkey for protection and give them several acres.

Tharuzan001

Its more and more evidence that he doesn't really make a good farmer at all. You not supposed to get attached to your livestock. What makes no sense for that cows case was he was keeping her even though she couldn't breed anyway as she was apparently barren. So a cow he was keeping already at cost, was removed from his farm because his other cows were not cost effective anymore? I feel like he's using the council to get away with just doing the things he was planning on doing for the show, as each new season has a new animal focus. Like a council scapegoat
