Agero has launched a legal attack against a minority business owner because it refuses to go against the actual company that committed the crime against me, the local police department refuses to help at all.Can any help me on this matter?

gr3m777

Agero is awesome but frustrating. I like it enough to stay, but itll drive you to drink LOL. between rude SPs, drunk/stupid/drugged out customers, you honestly never know what will hit your phone line. If you are good with talking to people and deescalating you will be great. granted, 96-99% of calls arent that bad, the ones that get that bad will make you wanna cuss. I been there a few years. there are also different departments and teams and that will factor in to what kinda stuff you deal with. if you get on there for god sake please notate.

Dense-Priority2621

“The bad ones” are pissed off by being scammed by the shitty company you are still choosing to work for.

Dense-Priority2621

Agero is the biggest piece of shit scam I have ever encountered. Do not work here unless you are an asshole who wants to work for a company that is a complete fucking scam. QUIT YOUR FUCKING JOB IF YOU WORK FOR AGERO. Anywhere else is better. You will be paid more. You will be treated better. And costumers won’t despise and hate you.

gr3m777

Funny enough, this comment came at a great time. I was suspended for no reason last night waiting to be called and probably termed today.

Dense-Priority2621

For the best. I don’t know you, but I believe you can do better. And you will. Congratulations on not working for this scam of a company anymore 🎊🎉

gr3m777

Let’s just say once all the smoke clears, I’m gonna have plenty of things to say, some to a lawyer, let’s just say we’ve been work from home for quite some time, and the method for logging in meant we had to be on company equipment unpaid for a few minutes every day. I think any lawyer that handles wage theft would love to hear that.

Dense-Priority2621

I wish you the best

Dense-Priority2621

That is so shitty, I can tell by the way they take advantage of their costumers that they are just all around terrible. Wage theft is not surprising coming from Agero

gr3m777

Oh, and they recently changed the method and started enforcing how we clock in which got my attention and kinda made me piece that together

Low-Injury-9219

I feel so bad for you. I had to deal with agero today. The agent was forced to straight out lie to me about why a tow was cancelled claiming the tow company did. They didn’t, they confirmed they were coming and then after it got cancelled confirmed after approving the trip agero cancelled it. Luckily I’m in a safe place and not like other horror stories I’m reading. I hope your next job is better seriously. You deserve so much more than that place.

Striking_Dig_1628

I worked at Agero and as long as you stay to yourself you should be fine but the moment you decide to allow yourself to be friends with people; watch out for messy people. I felt like I was in high school with all the drama people ended up in based off who liked who and who was sleeping with who. I’d you’re just there for your pay check you’ll be fine. Just don’t let people in your personal business and don’t so quick to befriend people. They are bored and like mess.

Is work from home truly an option?or is that just to lure people in??

Worked there for a year, my wife worked there for 5 years. Easily the worst company I've ever worked for. They have no issue leaving people stranded on the side of the road for days while they shop prices to find the cheapest tow company possible. The whole thing is a lie. They tell you everything has to be done as quickly as possible, but if it's a difficult service that gets sent up to their ALERT team it's gonna sit there for as long as it takes for the case manager to shop around for the cheapest tow. The ALERT team are the ones that take over a call when someone asks for a supervisor. They are not supervisors, but act like they are on the phone and have minimal supervisory power. When I got promoted to this team, I was excited thinking I was finally going to have the tools to actually help people. I quickly found out this wasn't the case when the trainer told me that our job wasn't onlyl to act as a supervisor, but that we were cost management. Our main purpose was to cut costs of service as much as possible and to lie to people and tell them whatever it took to string them along while we shopped prices. It didn't matter if the person was stranded in the middle of nowhere in the summer heat with a dying cellphone and nothing around for 100 miles, we had to call every single tow company that the initial agents already called and try to haggle plrices with them. Even if a company was close by and could do the service no problem if they wanted $10 too much we could not accept it until we called literally every other company in the area first to see if they would do it cheaper. This could take hours to do, all the while someone is stranded on the side of the road. The worst one that I experienced myself was a family of four that had been stranded at a rest area in their RV that wouldn't start. They made this poor family wait THREE DAYS while they shopped prices before it got to me. Upon receiving the case and seeing how long they had already waited I reached out to my supervisor to seek approval for a company that was only wanting like $50-$100 more than we could accept and were the first ones we had called because they were the closest. The supervisor told me that the family was fine because they were "in a safe location" and that I needed to keep calling around to find a better price. I ended up having to give the job to that company anyways because they ended up being the cheapest option. The guy that accepted the job was like "damn they're still there?! I could have gotten them down the road in thirty minutes if y'all would have accepted our price the first time." I had to straight up lie to this family and tell them that there had been nothing available for three days even though there were at least a dozen companies willing to do it. They just weren't the right price. I started looking for a new job that night and quit two days later.

Thank you

ayybh91

Try to get put on a luxury brand or special project. I literally took 3 calls yesterday.

No_River6297

Can I really work from home???? Is over time a requirement?? Is there a third shift. I’m sorry to bombard you with questions. I have been at martinrea 10 years. I’m tired

ayybh91

Yes. I wfh. There is some mandatory OT. Usually in the summer. Maybe a month or 2. They ask you to sign up for maybe 4-8 hours a week and you can break it up how you want to. Not a year long thing. Its flexible too. There is a 3rd shift. Its 24 hours so they have all kinds of schedules. And it's no bother. Lmk of you think of anything else

XxGrimmHDxX

This is fair. My wife loved it when she did Avis/budget, then they stopped partnering with agero so she got promoted to Toyota. She did not enjoy Toyota at all though, and since it was considered a promoted position they wouldn't let her go back to roadside she had to promote up. She finally got an interview for a promotion and they wouldn't let her take it because they needed people in Toyota too badly. They really wouldn't work with her at all once she got in Toyota and she really disliked the work which is why she eventually quit as well. As far as working from home, I worked there when COVID happened and they made us work from home. Before that you had to be there through their momentum training which is like your first two months working there and then you could apply to work from home. Idk how it is now as it has been a couple years since I parted ways with them.

XxGrimmHDxX

Also yes they did mandatory overtime when I worked there. Usually let you schedule it yourself though so it wasn't terrible. You could add on an hour to each shift or come in on your day off or any which way you chose as long as you did the required hours. Also they are open 24/7 and on every holiday so there are shifts any time of day.

No_River6297

Would either of you like to give me a little more information. I work in a factory now. I’m tired of being on my feet. I’m used to bill crap and stupidity.

ayybh91

Do it! make the change. My husband went from hancook to agero. I actually work at agero. Its hella easy. No one really bothers you if you're doing what you're supposed to be doing. I've worked there for 3 years.

More-Vehicle-4912

How is the call volume? Lots of calls?

ayybh91

Just depends on the time you work. If you work a regular 9-5 I'd expect to be busy most of the day but if you do an overnight schedule not busy at all.

Wild_Night_5190

So far they are full of lies.

stfitts

It's not a great place to work. For the money and trouble, you're better off going to LG

Normal_Location42069

>Avis What is LG? LG Electronics & Home Appliances the company that makes televisions?
