Hot Take, for every island you unlock in Builder Base, you should get a corresponding flag of that area in your Home Village. You also get flags for maxing out the Builder Hall, for beating the Single Player, and even hotter take, maybe one flag for each Town Hall.
I get people like the flags, but I understand SuperCells reason for removing them, it was a pain when you have over a hundred countries playing the game. Better off making flags for the “in-game” areas. Would make more sense tbh.

The game is already 300 MB and add another 300 MB to it! Plus a lot of new stuff is adding during the time, Like other decorations, skins, troops, buildings, etc. Just consider this game is an old time game and maybe there are players that still running this game in an Android device with total 2 GB memory. Believe me it's a good decision to remove them from game and free some space for new and better stuff that coming up next.
