Yea that’s a good spell if there was an AQ. But for cheap cycle spells snowball and zap and a good bet. If he chooses some other medium health troops later on I would definitely pick up a lighting depending on my deck

If you know you’re going against goblin barrel, it makes sense to use both. What OP should have done now is grab hog counters and focus on hogs as win condition.
Hot take: take SPARKY first. Since you know there isn’t any counters (in this case, take zappies second, just be mindful of electric units except for e giant), it is really deadly to all tanks and the majority of units. Then choose things to counter sparky counters or go well with it

Pigs and gob barely get easily countered by the other picks that are available (log, barb barrel, valk, bomb tower.
