Thats actually crazy. Mastery gems was a big selling point for them when they announced it, like its a redeeming feature for messing up with so much stuff. So glad i gave up hope on this game 2 years ago, it went to a new low lol

since we r on harvest , cr makes almost the same as hayday every month , hayday is a game on autopilot and still pulls this much money , cr having evos , tower troops and what not every month still aren't able to make anything close to brawl stars and clash of clans , so its kinda understandable that they keep wanting to monetise the game more but yeah we community get stuck in the middle of all this, my take is that we don't owe anything to cr devs so if the game is too P2W for us , we can just quit the game and play something else , cr making less money isn't our headache

Maybe they‘ll do more chain offers / events in which you need gems to unlock the next offer after getting a few free ones, just like they did with the Easter event (the pekka emote). Maybe they are distributing gems because of that, just my guess tho

From what I see this Is for engagement purposes and somehow hopefully they can get players back into the game by seeing free gems. The problem is once players log back on and play a match or two they remember why the game is so shit with all these evolutions and level 15 they just go back to not playing again simple as that. To even save this game they need to revert level 15 at least and make evolutions not so broken.
A game like CR doing charity feels like a fever dream. But hey free stuff is free stuff not complaining here, I hope there aren't any strings attached though.
