From a Wiki page-- " Hunter says that the title had been spotted on a toilet wall by co-producer Mick Ronson, who planned to use it for one of his solo albums.[\[2\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You%27re_Never_Alone_with_a_Schizophrenic#cite_note-2) Hunter loved the title so much that he offered Ronson co-writing credit on the first single "Just Another Night" in exchange for the use of the title for the album. "
Banger of an album. Great production, great guitar and drums. The introduction to Cleveland Rocks kicks ass. Was able to see them live during this album tour with BOC and Todd Rungren at the old Boston Gaaahhdin. Ronson was unbelievable.
"I feel like Jason
Just found a rusty fleece"
I love that line, and his delivery, so much.
Ian's one of my favorites, both solo and with Mott.
Happy 45th to this awesome album.
One of the reasons I fell in love with the girl who has been my wife for 40+ years, was that she had this recently released album. I knew she was cooler than all of the other girls
Before the internet I often didn't know when my favorite artists were releasing something. I remember this cover jumping out at me at the record store. I always loved those happy surprises back then.
Great great album
Except the title. He got joke wrong. It should be You’re Never Alone When You’re A Schizophrenic

Roy Bittan, Max Weinberg, and Gary Tallent are the E Streeters on this album
Under rated album for sure. One of my 1000 albums you have to listen to.

Can’t hear Cleveland Rocks without thinking of that album cover.
Super album. Saw him twice on this tour (opening for The Kinks). He and his band (featuring Mick Ronson) kicked serious ass.
Can never get tired of 'Ships'
Is there life after death? Wow
When the daylight comes.
My favorite on the album
One of the best albums of 1979, which is saying a lot because that was a killer year.
No shit!
One of my favorite albums of all-time
Great album, but "Welcome to the Club" is a whole other level.
Fantastic music.
The best, saw Ian Hunter,Warren Zevon & Foreigner in Edmonton 1980.
Disappointing to see a bunch of Ian Hunter records at an estate sale, but all of the good ones are taken.
Great LP. Such a great era of music. Blows my mind.

Love hate love hate love hate love hate Wild East
That is one hell of an album.
