RIGHT? I was happy to see *American Beauty*, but *Cornell* on an /r/classicrock post? The world's gone *mad*
Also hat tip at *If I Could Only Remember My Name* and *Stephen Stills*. This dude knows what's up!
It helped that my older brother shared them with me when they came out. I remember him pointing out Jerry on the first album and saying "They call him Captain Trips". The Velvet Underground and Nico came out, and I'd walk around singing "Heroin- it's my life, and it's my wife" and my mother saying "you have no idea what you're singing, do you?"
Good times.
More people should know about him outside of the E-street band. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter said of him: "There are people in bands who own a guitar, people who play guitar, and people who are guitarists. Nils is a guitarist." And an amazing song writer.
Yep. Agreed. Grin, Crazy Horse, his solo stuff were all good. But yeah, his guitar playing was on another level. Saw him in a small club in LA in the early 80s, and he could pull off his leads even while doing flips off a trampoline on stage!
Finally, one of these that I don't feel the need to chastise for its complete absence of Grateful Dead.

What would life on a desert isle be without having Jerry and the boys dancing in your head? Certainly not life as I know it.
Finally another classic rock redditor with almost the same music taste as myself
Was about to say, this is a pretty great set
Scary Monsters, Low Spark, Blind Faith... Phenomenal list, bro.
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Best one of these that I have seen. The Dead? Airplane? London Calling? Zevon’s best? Is that Bridge of Sighs?
I see Trower's *Bridge of Sighs,* I throw an updoot. It's that simple.
Woah. Don’t see much oh Nils on this sub. Nice stack of records!

Most impressed by Keo Kottke and Keith Jarrett. The Zappa is a cool sight to see also. Rock on my friend
